Trust us.. this is a fun and glorious rabbit hole. Lawrence is an amazing group that is still rising. All their Acoustic versions of any song they have is just great! Dont Lose Sight, Guy I used to Be, Watcha Want, The Weather, 23, etc... all are great. Brother / Sister (Clyde and Gracie and their younger brother Linus joins on these but not touring.) Others are part of the actual band and then they have guest singers that join who have their own stuff too. Enjoy! Great reaction
Three minutes in: "Props to them for letting their backup singers shine". Everybody who has seen Lawrence Acoustic-ish videos before: "You ain't seen nothing yet" :)
Fun Fact: At age 6, Clyde became the youngest ever member of the Songwriters Guild for a song he wrote for the Movie Miss Congeniality. his dad was the screenwriter and the producers axed the planned song. Clydes dad slipped his son's own song in and they loved it.
welcome to the lawrence club! genuinely any of their acoustic-ish videos will be right up your alley if you liked this one. don’t lose sight, whatcha want, guy i used to be, 23-they have a playlist on their channel! also if you like jazz stuff there’s great moments in those songs where clyde does some incredible piano playing. he’s legit SO good
"Dude, like it's like-- it's like you get brought here, then they slap ya, and then you're over here, and they're like 'Nahh, we're not done', and then they curb stomp ya." Accurate description of every acoustic-ish. 👌
this acoustic ish was my introduction to Lawrence too!! it'll always have a special place in my heart. You're in for an absolutely wonderful and insane ride down the rabbit hole!
Just search "Lawrence Acoustic or Acousticish" and every song that pops up is a banger. Weather. Don't Lose Sight. 23. Man I Used To Be. Whatcha Want. All are incredible and a fun watch/listen.
Welcome to the family business! Clyde and Gracie Lawrence are siblings that front and 8 member band out of NY. All the other band members have been friends they have picked up growing up, from middle school all the way through Clyde's time in college. Gracie joined full time after HS and they are on album #4 (the second under Bellion's label). They've opened for the Jonas Brothers this last year and just a few weeks ago, opened for the Rolling Stones in NY. They have been featured on Jacob Collier's latest album, and Gracie is featured on Meghan Trainor's latest album. They just started a headline tour this week and will most certainly be in your neck of the woods. As much fun as the songs are, they really really shine live. They do not use any backing tracks, and everyone in the band is multi talented. The Acoustic-ish versions of the songs are a pretty decent example of the live feeling, but these sessions involve singing with a group of backup vocalists that are not normally part of the band. You could easily just spiral down the rabbit hole with all of their stuff. Again, welcome!
Clyde centric songs: Guy I used to be, Do you want to do nothing with me (live version from a Seattle secret show), Superficial Gracie ones: The Weather (acoustic version of course), Freckles, 23 (acoustic-ish)
Im so happy whenever I find new people reacting to Lawrence, but your reaction had me cheesing so hard that I may now be a pasta dish lol. Thank yo, you eont regret this!!! ❤
I just stumbled across your channel tonight with your reaction to Ren's Back on 74 (followed by more of your Ren reactions). And then I saw this! Lawrence is one of my absolute favorites, and they're so different from Ren that I don't think most reactors I've seen have stumbled across both. I don't actually subscribe to a ton of reactors because there are only a handful of artists that I love watching reactions to. Ren and Lawrence are two of those, so I absolutely had to subscribe! I love your musical insights and how you really get into the energy of the song. The acoustic version of Don't Lose Sight is one of my favorite Lawrence acoustic videos. Gracie's vocals blow me away every time. Whatcha Want is a newer one that's also pretty epic. And the acoustic of Freckles is just pure fun. Can't wait to see you fall down the Lawrence rabbit hole too.
Been down the rabbit hole for a few years. Stupidly talented. The "backups" are almost all in other bands....a few soloists. Several faces repeat in the Acoustic-ish videos. Just wicked Brooklyn talent
I haven't even watched the rest of the video, but you just said "Props to them for letting their backup singers shine" and it made me laugh. You had no idea what was coming later lol
if you want to hear them go insane in a studio version you should listen to "hip replacement" from their latest album. also all their older songs are insane to listen to! clyde lawrence has been a genius since kindergarten and gracies voice is unlike anything I ever heard. highly recommend "try" as well. also loved this vid
Yesss, the best rabbit hole! If you want another one with soulful runs & singing, do urself a favor and react to Jacob Collier - Bridge Over Troubled Waters (studio audio version) which features Yebba, John Legend, and Tori Kelly - Jacob's an *actual* musical genius and the rabbit hole goes deep
Well Toci better late to the party than never lol. We're jazzed to see them live next month. And two day ago...THE TONIGHT SHOW!! ruclips.net/video/bS31mkyeYiQ/видео.htmlsi=bT5Q-yz3npyxQl41

I find myself smiling the whole video.
Don't lose sight is my favorite of these.
Prepare to be amazed! Their acoustic-ish sessions are always a real treat.

Whatcha want from their new album is good also. And, of course, Don’t Lose Sight is the 🐐

Theyre so good, its a damn joke
All the Acoustic-is) but I love 23
You going live today?
Nah I’m taking the day off to record some reactions and edit and upload them
Im not a fan of this song. They said "im confident that im secure" way too many times. Especially in a row. But im glad you liked it.
That’s just how they do their acoustic versions, in the studio version they don’t say say it as much if that’s your only issue with it
Oh no. Anyway…
Don’t like their video…making me dizzy but interesting arrangement..talented collective 🤍🪽
It’s done to show you that there is no editing. It is all one take.
