    Well I just bough one of these ovens and came looking for some rotisserie tips for it. This video showed what not to do so that was a good thing. Gave you a 👍for that reason.

    Helpful vid . I agree it should have come with better prongs , but you can get a pair of 4 tine turkey prongs online for $12 , not knocking your method but i think the whole process would have gone much better if the breast was better balanced on the rod , and if you started with a slightly higher temp and using the fan from the get go . Seems like having the turkey flop around like that would eventually damage the rotisserie function . That being said i wouldnt neccessarily fault the oven , i just think there is a learning curve to the process . Im sure if you were to do another one it would likely go smoother. Still a helpful vid . I just ordered one of these and now i have a better idea of what to expect and how to deal with it . Also another user suggested putting a 1/4" of water in the drip pan to help with smoke and cleanup issues . Thanks for the vid , thumbs up

      I have done many. All uneven meat can have issues, boneless roasts have leas issues.

    Great informative demo. When I replace my counter top oven I will get a Ninja foodi XL oven.

    Hey there Darnell from the Land of Igloos and Polar Bears 🇨🇦.
    WOW!!! This was a #TrainWreck from the word go. I “had” this exact oven and believe me when I say, using the rotisserie in this oven is not the easiest thing to do in the world (as you now know). It ABSOLUTELY needs to have 4 prongs and another thing is that you almost have to tighten the two prong forks with a pair of vice grips so the slipping and thumping around doesn’t end up happening. Absolutely should have used the fan since the start but you are right, default says no fan so that’s obviously the way Cosori thinks it should be cooked. The instruction manual doesn’t even mention using the fan or that’s it’s an option to use when cooking on the Rotisserie Function nor does it say in the manual when the fan option should be used. It’s totally up to you as to when to or not to use the fan. The Rotisserie ovens you see in the groceries stores and other establishments do not have fans running either. As stated above, “I HAD this oven”, it’s now back at the Cosori offices as it had some problems 🙃. One of the problems was that the lower front element was never as hot or running as hot as the other 3 elements. When using the toast option, I had to turn it halfway thru toasting or the bottom wouldn’t even be a light brown. I now have the Ninja DT251 SMART Foodi XL Pro Air Oven and it’s hands down, FAR better than the Cosori Air Oven, they are not even in same league. Also as you can tell, you can barely hear the fan running in the Cosori when it’s running so I truly believe that’s another big issue, it’s not a strong fan at all. In my opinion, it’s more of a Toaster Oven with a couple of other fancy options than it is an Air Fryer Oven. As always, thanks for the #Honest #StraightForward how to recipe video and I’m sure I’ll see you in the next one. Until then, #StaySafe 😷 & #HappyCooking 🍗.

    If you position the protein (turkey or chicken) at an appropriate angle, it wouldn't "flop" around or touch the bottom. It's obvious most of the weight is off centered. Also, you complained about it having only 2 prongs on each gripper. Can you tell me what fryer/rotisserie has grips with more than 2 prongs? I know the Emeril has only 2.

    putting a turkey breast in my cosari today,I think I might not use the rotisserie and just bake my breast because it is kind of large....

    Almost looked like when you initially put it in you may have accidentally drug the meat across the upper heating elements and that is where you got all the smoke from. Definitely think there needs to be more tines on the forks or choose a better shaped hunk of meat to rotisserie. Definitely looks tasty.

      I just think the way you placed the forks is what made it flop like that

      A whole turkey breast isn't easy since it's not uniform. But 4 prongs on the rotisserie forks would help.

      @norme1850 3 года назад +1

      Even one prong stuck in the very end would be enough to keep it from flopping around or placing the rod through the middle of the breast where there is meat would have helped. As long as the rod is centered and the meat is secure on the end should be enough to keep it in place.

      Looked like operator error on this. To much oil and placement of forks. Almost like you wanted it to fail.

    Darnell I cook 5 and a half pound chicken rotisserie and you said in your rotisserie you cannot use the convention fan and you could just hit the button convention the air and you could cook it that's why it took you so long to cook the chicken breast

      I said the conversation fan isn't set by default with the rotisserie setting. But that I could engage it and recommend anyone else do the same for faster cooking. Which I did. And that I didn't initially to see how it performed with their default setting without it.
      You can see more about the fan settings and other details about the cooker here.

      No the smoke at first had absolutely nothing to do with the oil and dissipated shortly after the cook started. If it were the oil the smoke would have continued. It was the cleaning before the cook, likely soap residue.
      I don't see many attempt whole turkey breast with the bone on the rotisserie. I don't claim perfection is but it's easier said than done to avoid issues with a whole one.

    Do you think the bacon smoking issue was because of soap? Dont want smoking

      It's been a while since I was using that particular cooker. So, the best I can say is what I detailed in my video at that time.

    You could've taken it out 10°f before your target temperature. Carryover cooking would have brought it to where you wanted it to be.
    The turkey wouldn't have dried out.

    • @WaveOvenRecipes
      @WaveOvenRecipes  3 года назад

      I know all about carry over. However this small bird likely wouldn't make it up a full 10° F. I have cooked many birds, look around the channel. Some cookers can do a good job. And I cook to temp with a moist interior with many others. I don't like just getting there, I find my method best for me. But you do your way.
      As I said, the convention fan needs to be a default for the rotisserie. And it may have needed a little more heat.
