Wow Irene you are so talented, a master artist in all aspects of photography. I think i will have to watch a few times to be able to comprehend and practice all your fab techniques. Thank you
For someone who is starting to push more on portraiture and lifestyle, I think this has to be one of the simplest, yet most impactful video's I've watched. Thank you so much for sharing this Irene. It's people like you that allow us other photographers the chance to grow!
Totally agree with this comment, i love and respect the thought she had for sharing such valuable information for us who is starting a new here. A big fan here.
Nice. Just a few suggestions on Easy Skin tip: 1.: No need to copy the background layer, just use new empty layer 2.: Set your eyedropper "sample size" to something like 31x31, to get more representative color. You were using "point sample" so picking a single pixel color. 3.: Once you set your eyeropper sample size right, you can pick new color with brush, just hold Alt / Option to pick a new brush color, no need to take eyedropper every time. Cheers
@@IreneRudnyk and pls. set the layer to "color" in order to keep the structure.... i would prefer not to do this quick'n dirty technique at all... or at least not talk about it ;o) Just take more time and do it with proper dodge and burn... i like that you use gradients.... but add a saturation layer as well, group them and mask the group. Because darker areas are more saturated, so you need to correct this...
On photoshop, my brush won't work right even though I've got everything in the top bit that she's got. Do you have any ideas on why? Also super helpful tips :)
Photoshop Chef - Hi, thanks for your tips. When I use the brush after selecting the sample area, I am finding that the new colour is brushed in ok, but it loses the texture of the original area, what am I doing wrong, please. I end up with a face with very little texture.
I don't even own a camera, but I enjoy a lot your videos. Something in your voice, in your teaching skills and the way you transform a picture just relaxes me
Unbelievable. This is such a great tutorial. It's not only super informative, but it's also extremely simple hacks that anyone can do to really make an impact on their art. Thanks so much for sharing! I am certainly a new subscriber now!
Im absolutely astounded by how powerful this program is. You have such a great understanding of it and are so talented at educating in a way that is easy to understand and fun to listen too
You're my new favorite photographer to watch! you explain things and share so much in just one single video! And the great thing is... it doesn't require much to apply the techniques to our own work. I'm so excited I found you! Thank you for all your teachings!
This was an amazing tutorial. I’m seriously empowered and mind blown. As a photographer, I’m so excited to apply so many of these tips to my photos. I can see how these subtle things make a big difference and I am so grateful I found you today! ❤️
it is great to see that you are willingly sharing so many secrets and tips&tricks with the world! some of them I am using myself, however others were absolutely new things to learn, thank you so much, Irene!
Thumbs up for simplicity and follow-ability. LOVED all the hacks, fwiw, but your nose job wrecked her, imho, jmo. The rest was magical. I do oil portraits and loved your 'attention to detail', color pearls, and your excellent explanations and gentle flow! Utmost blessings!
Seen 100s of photoshop videos and they all just tend to be repeats of same old techniques, this however was original and more useful, fantastic work.. tnx
Irene, I have watched hundreds of hours on editing in PS, but this video is probably the best I have watched for practical suggestions to really improve an image.
I literally just started using photoshop roughly a week ago. I decided to look around on youtube some hacks and other ideas to start practicing. I"M SO HAPPYYYY I found this. Its so simple yet these are details I do pay attention too! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, REALLY appreciate it :))
Definitely more videos like that!! There wasn't a lot I didn't know, but maybe didn't really know the ways of using it. So very very interesting. Can't wait to see more of your editing
As a portrait photographer (amateur/aspiring) this was the best PS hack video I have ever seen it was like everything I needed to know. I have already stretched some shots and made some long necks lol
I’ve had a passion for photography for over 30 years. I’m largely self-taught in Photoshop and Lightroom, scouring RUclips for “how-to” videos. I’ve learned a lot this way, but I have to tell you. Your lessons have taught me more over the last few weeks than I’ve gotten from other sources in YEARS. You really know your stuff, and your work shows it. But you’re every bit as good of an instructor as you are an awesome photographer. Thank you for all your help, and keep those great videos coming.
This video opened up my world! I'm pretty new to portrait retouching and definitely will use your tips for my next shoots. I will get to practice this weekend already. Excited!
Great tutorial! You are the first I've seen who not only pays attention to the fine details but shows how to accomplish them quickly. Thanks! You now have another follower and sub. Looking forward to your next one! (All the time and money I spent on college and you come along!)
Awesome that was a great video Irene and thanks for sharing those tips. Would love to see those used in Luminar when you get around to making that video. Be safe and looking forwarded to more great tips and videos. 🤗😊❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
omg Irene so much information in a single video. I have to rewatch it 10 times to grasp everything. Good job. Will hopefully up my portrait game with it :D
i've landed back on this video again to apply some of these hacks and recently just found out you're also a Calgarian!! WTF my mind is actually severely blown right now and im in shock LOL.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing. I have always shot journalistically and after years of that I’m starting to move into the artistic realm. Took a photo recently in 2x3 that needed to be 4x5 for a 16x20 movie poster and your stretch technique saved the day!
One of the best photoshop hack videos I've come across! You made techniques I've struggled with for years now easily understandable. Keep up the great work!!!
