    I'm glad I found this video. I was planning to install a slightly thicker screw with the lathe machine. It never occurred to me that the tip was locked without falling off. which I had opened before. it will be much easier to convert it to manual for me now. did you just use a screw of own thickness and sufficient length?

    • @exhaust_tales

      Yes, I'll share the screw details then.

    Bro my CBR has this same noise but after I ride for like 15 kms or so, not much sound or vibration while the bike is cold. What could be the issue here man, please help😢 I went to Honda Service center and they said that I will have to replace the cylinder head piston and what not and charged me 40,000 for the repair

    • @exhaust_tales
      @exhaust_tales  20 дней назад +1

      May be it has that piston issue bro. Consult with other service centres as well and confirm the issue.

      @@exhaust_tales this happened after a minor accident at 40kph btw, before that the bike was a gem, no vibrations no extra sounds nothing, so an accident at that speed has damaged the piston? That can’t happen can it?

      @@exhaust_tales the problem is that other service centers in my city don’t work on CBR since its discontinued and mechanics don’t know how to work on it, and they don’t even keep parts for it, there is just one mechanic in Honda Bigwing that works on it

    Seeing your vid i chnged it to manual like year ago now i got chance to write the review it works well no problem and i assume stock chain tensioner has a problem or faulty it doesn't works well , can we also fit cb300 chain tensioner has anyone done it let me know!

    • @exhaust_tales
      @exhaust_tales  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the review! Yes I believe the CB300 chain tensioner should work. I tried sourcing one but stock was not available that time so I dropped the plan.

    I am following you very closely. Now I have rough idling and the noise disappears after 5k RPM. I am assuming it is the tensioner. Before doing the same mod you did. Can I adjust the existing tensioner?
    Will the tensioner break?
    Are there any chances of chain slipping?
    Please suggest 🙏

    • @exhaust_tales
      @exhaust_tales  2 года назад +1

      If the current tensioner is not working properly there's no real adjustment you can do with it bro. Even if you reset it will go back to current condition very soon. Better try changing to a new one for now. If that also fails sooner than you expect it to, then you try this mod 👍🏼

    Video after quite a while. Nice. Btw, when you said that your bike revs smoother after you fitted the manually made tensioner, did you mean to say the revs previously weren't smooth and the engine felt rough before ? As you may know from other comments of mine, my CBR250R performs perfevtly fine but it isn't "butter smooth" as other owners claim. So just trying to figure out any solution.

    • @exhaust_tales
      @exhaust_tales  2 года назад +1

      Yes bro, after the manual tensioner the engine is butter smooth. Before it was kind of smooth but little bit vibration was there as the cam chain had some slack and tensioner was not pushing the chain to adjust it. Now that I have manually set the tension there's no more cam chain slack, so the engine timing is perfect and therefore no jerks as before and became butter smooth as a new bike.
      Got busy with my full-time job and also some family programs so video got delayed. I'll try to post contents frequently. Thanks bro for the support!
