I used to go to school with Barbara Ann Mitchell & I did not believe her that she was apart of this group until I saw her on the Motown 25th Special, and I was and am ever so proud to have known her! Awesome song! :) Dancing!! Dancing!! Dancing!
I heard this at a dance club in l984 and never knew the title/artist. finally found it 20 years later on a l2" vinyl. one of those songs you never get tired of.
l love High Energy: Michelle, Barbara, Linda and Vanessa!! This is one of my favorites by them,. love "Save it for a rainy day" . Their second album was my favorite by them.
Now if I can only find a download for this track at this speed, If you can upload the up temp of this song and link us that would be sweet. Just a thought.
The best version is defenitely the motown 25 special.. I listened the album version 500000 times sinces many years.. ans the motown 25 years version is a way better.
What happened to their biggest hit? "You can't turn me off smack dab in the middle of turning me on" It used to be on RUclips. No I can' find it anyplace. Hell it is nearly 30 years old. I doubt that many people want to hear it so where did it go? Was it to sexy for "RUclips?
boy the 70s and 80s were jammin. by the 90s it seemed like music was startin to slip a little. in the 00s some was ok still had a little hit of the past. but now TODAY you dont know what half this mess is. its like LORD, JOSEPH, MARY, JESUS and HOLY SPIRIT what in the world are they talkin about?! just my opinion.
I think this on the wrong speed. This sounds like the chipmunks. The version I have is slowed down which give's it a little more funk. I would pass out trying to keep up with this on the dance floor.

I bet you this song would have been a much bigger hit had the arrangement's tempo actually been at this speed.
i've loved this song ever since I heard it n the Motown 25. Never heard the recorded version. Great song, thanks for posting.
i love it at this speed.

Any faster, and it would be sounding like Alvin and the Chipmunks!
It didn't sound like this when they sang it live on American Bandstand.
I'm looking for "You can't turn me off" too
It’s on the streaming services.
Moi je suis là acause de bassem

Funk scarface
Go to "ieem music." Unlike youtube, if they have a song, they never delete it.
Why can’t I find this album on iTunes ?
Would love a High inergy album on my playlist! Great music! Love the tempo! We used this album a lot in the 80s when I was an aerobic instructor !

This is definitely being played at the wrong speed here! ...I have a promo 7" single version and it is slower and more funky!
is the pitch right? seems too high
69 la trik
Can we get this at the right speed!
It is too fast. I have this album. Slow it down. . .
what happened to them? was this their only song?
They also had a hit in 1977, "You Can't Turn Me Off (In The Middle Of Turning Me On)" on Motown's Gordy label.
@vaniti06 yes and that kills it ... I'm outta here, that's awful
Pitched up by about 10 bpm - and ruined because of it. Thumbs-down on an otherwise beautiful song.
