What a great find. I used to dance to this in Bromptons Earls Court. Thank you for reintroducing me to this gem and the wonderful voice of Pamala Stanley.
I have loved her "Coming Out Of Hiding" since the eighties, but completely forgot about this tune! Thanks so much for bringing it back to me! Got here after listening to Heart's cover version.
@@hugolafhugolaf Primal Fear's version is great but the crazy thing is that the very beginning sounds a little like Motley Crue's unrelated song "Looks that kill". To me Anyway
@@katherineclarke9802 one more thing, you wouldn't know good music if Primal Fear dropped a Marshall stack on your fat face.🐷🐖 Now go pick on someone your own size, have a nice day.🏴☠️
I did NOT even notice that this was HI-NRG / Digital-Disco music. Its got that waaaaaay above "merely palatable 80s generic horns and other instruments badly predictable trope" style to it! I mean SERIOUSLY, I like this one!
me either! the whole time grow ing up, watching Raw Deal, I always thought it was Hearts version, thanks to google, but it wasnt until i typed it into google that I found this version!
I remember back in the mid 80"s i live in Palm Springs and she came out to club where i would always be, ( C.C. Construction co.) and she is the nicest person, we talked for about 15-20 minutes, my favorite was Sylvester meeting him, OMG. such an honor!!!! :-0
Never heard Hearts version. See what you've done, now I'll have to find it. I have to say Ms. Stanley if my first and foremost favorite. However I do love Nancy and Ann. :)
Such an amazing entertainer! My generation had it sooooo Gooood!!!! I was there for her, Pink Floyd and everywhere in between. We were truly Blessed. (what am I talking about,, we still are!) :)
This is the second mix of this song. Ms. Stanley hated the first production of it, so she went back to the studio to re-record it. Neither version did well, but Heart covered it, and she made money off the tune that way. (It's written by her and her brother.)
pamala released this twice, one was recorded and released, then she went back and produced it herself and arranged it i believe from what i can remember
I like both versions. Heart is more Rocky IV soundtrack, if that's your speed. This version is more suitable if you're training for the national jazzercise championship.
Stanley's STILL: easily alive, active to some level AND did a fantastic RUclips video of herself talking about her time especially starting out in the Disco Era AND practically comes off like she's in her *_*30s_** , too!
Just so everybody knows0-THIS IS THE ORIGINAL_Heart did this after Pamela debuted it(and too my mind, it's a GREAT dance song by Pamela-a so-so rock version by Heart
the first viersion was produced by red hot producers mark leggit and chris barbosa, of "shannon" fame, i have the original, i didnt think it was that bad
Woooooo - I used to get off my face on this one - without the help of substances ! - down The Market Tavern of a weekend - what a rush ! - now I'm 59 and the only rush I get is watching my dogs dancing to it - no really Doggie Disco Dachshunds.
I played this over the phone to my two timing ex boyfriend circa 1985. I had just been to the ????? ( now an Abbey National ) on the Kings Road, Chelsea
@discoguy79 No, not a remix, but the song was also done by Heart. While Pamala's version is pretty good, Heart's is definitely better. More then likely it is the Heart version you are thinking of.
Robert Davi and Schwarzenegger
Raw Deal Rules!!! 80s pure sound
I’m here cause of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Raw Deal
ME TOO MAN.
Jajajaja buena rola yo igual
Saludos
You should not drink and bake.
I remember dancing to this in clubs back in the day! Pamala Stanley was a goddess to us boys.
I've always enjoyed this Pamala Stanley song. I read that Ms. Stanley is recording dance music again. Thanks for psoting this song.

As an 80's music and metal lover I must admit that I love this and Heart's version.
Richie Rich metal fans are all clossed minded assholes i refuse to belive your into anything other than metal
Listen to the cover by Primal fear.

This was an incredible hard rock song performed by Heart. I did not know its roots lied in high energy dance music.
You would be suprised how many songs are covers but when you hear original you just know which song has more pasion and emotion.

Terrible le son
I love Heart but they are not hard rock in any way my friend 🤓

THE SAINT/NYC - [1980-88]...)))
"This is what you're gonna look like dead. Don't pay Lamanski anymore."
Dustin Martin - Raw Deal :)
Bob Miro Mixed this and I just saw him today. Both versions were released the same year; Pamala Stanley and Heart.
"If I torch this shithouse, you'll be inside it."
- Max Keller
Such an amazing entertainer! My generation had it sooooo Gooood!!!! I was there for her, Pink Floyd and everywhere in between. We were truly Blessed. (what am I talking about,, we still are!) :)
The lyrics fit better with an agressive rock song. This is way too sweet! I prefer the Heart version.

Excellent song.
There were two 12" versions of this by Pamala Stanley. This one posted is definitely the better of the two
From what I was told, she wasn't happy with the first version the producers wanted her to record, so she produced it herself , I like this version too
The songs of camela are super. I have seen her singing on the cruise ship PRIDE OF AMERICA. Her talk is wonderful too.
パメラはすばらしかったよ。
I knew Heart's version, but I didn't know it was a cover. This is good stuff right here. I could listen to both versions all day long.🤘
Yessir, you're cultured and have great taste in music
i do believe it was recorded twice, by pamala , the first version she didn't like, and she went backin and produced it herself
I like both versions. Heart is more Rocky IV soundtrack, if that's your speed. This version is more suitable if you're training for the national jazzercise championship.
David D. Love the references!
Pamala, Heart, Primal Fear todas las versiones son geniales!
Excellent song !
magnifique ! Jadore cette chanson !!
I LOVE THAT SONG
Pure gold they don't make em like this no more
Nice Song :) Love it

The only version I would ever play.
the first viersion was produced by red hot producers mark leggit and chris barbosa, of "shannon" fame, i have the original, i didnt think it was that bad
Exelentes rolas

I love this lady
I don't know which one I like the best they're both awesome!!!!!
i have both versions on 12 inch vinyl...just a little difference in them
This video is added to our Thriller Club Channel...enjoy the party!
Sublime

Arnold Schwarzenegger looking like a boss (as usual) and entering a gay club
awesome
Good song, but I prefer Heart's version. I'm more of a rocker than a disco cat, I guess.
I played this over the phone to my two timing ex boyfriend circa 1985. I had just been to the ????? ( now an Abbey National ) on the Kings Road, Chelsea
Hey, she actually used proper grammar in this version: "if I were you, I'd really cool it" instead of "if I was you, I'd better cool it".
Raw deal brought me here 👌🏻
❤️
Nice song

@jukingeo she sang it before heart..

@discoguy79

Heart's is considered the definitive version of the song, and was a single I believe.
love this song to death.
so lover to lover joe yellow
Bg Anis
Pure 80's music, my favorite, love it to death! Pamala's version is definitely better than Heart's.
You = Idiot. You have shit in ears????
Pimboley They are both good. This one is synth-driven and the other is rock-driven.
WHAT???!!!
?
Heart's is considered the definitive version of this song. I like it better because it's hard rock and I like Ann Wilson's voice better.
great song...if heart this in the movie the city shark with arnold schwarzenegger....;))
Musica boa pra balançar o esqueleto
coming out of hiding........
say no more
TOSI mahtava hinrg!!!!!!
12 Inch version... u star

Don't get me wrong, I ove Ann Wilson and the band Heart but I love Pamelas version of this song more.
They are apples and oranges. Same song, but no similarities after that.
I'm The Crane Man let's dance everyone has good beat of the song
They should have used this song in the new Megan movie
2020
(*Y E:$:!?*****).!? ✌ ☮ 🕊.!?
great song, but not pamEla... if I see it clearly, pamAla.
the five red stars are due!
I'm just died
Heart is alot better imo.
Now, I've learned that THIS song was covered by Heart, not written by them. Like
it anyway, But not it the original.
This should be a gta vice soundtrack
tHAXS aNtO
She is my absolute favorite.....but this number is not so hinrg and pales to Coming Out Of Hiding.....but "she can do no wrong by me!" (LS69FREESTYLE)
The Wilson sisters' version is much better, with Ron Nevison producing. HEART
Produced by Chris Barbosa
(*Y.E:$:!?*****).!? ✌ ☮ 🕊.!?
Full 12 inches............cheers
Very best disco.Better than heart.
