That was a lovely start to my day. I love the variety of your flows as I am not good at dreaming up a flow myself and suspect I might stick just to my favourite poses which isn’t ideal. It also feels nice to have someone to exercise with. Thank you Alice 😊
I'm a little behind but absolutely LOVED this one! I could feel the sense of calm descending over me. A great start to the day, looking forward to tomorrow! x
Hi Alice, I returned to this session today. I really felt the lift and seem to be able to get the rib stretch better now.. thanks for making this available. Fiona
Hi Tanja, no need to as you get an automatic lift and contraction of the pelvic floor which creates all the lovely pelvic health improvements. If you're doing Kegels as part of your pelvic health care, pop them in separately during your day 💕
Alice I have been away and now have my young grandchildren staying which is why I haven’t done any of your videos recently. But I have saved them and will start again by the end of next week. Have been doing lots of sea swimming and walking but it leaves no extra energy for Hypopressives. But thank you Alice fir the videos. XXX
Hi Cecilia, you're very welcome! Sounds absolutely wonderful all that swimming and walking - and precious times with your grandchildren too. Have a great time! xx
Thank you Alice. Only just joined this as recommended by my pelvic physiotherapist. I found it difficult to get my head against the wall and had quite an ache in my back behind my ribcage from sitting against the wall.
Hi Heather, thanks for joining us here! Are you already familiar with the hypopressives breathwork and foundational poses (standing, diver, kneeling, quadruped, sitting and lying down poses)? This is quite an advanced set of videos. From what you're describing, I think you need a rolled up hand towel behind your head so you can press against it and have your eyes on the horizon, rather than struggling to get your head against the wall. Also were you sitting on a pile of books / yoga block? You might need to do this to make sure you're nice and upright, and not rolling back into your pelvis. The ache might be because your back muscles have been working - but you'd need to be checked in-person by a coach to make sure you're in the right position and doing the pose correctly. Hope that helps? Alice 💙
I have a question when you say hold your breath and stretch your ribs are you referring to the vacuum in the ribs where the ribs are open and all your organs are pulled upwards?
Yes, so the vacuum / apnea is in the pelvic and tummy area, and happens after the last exhale and during the breath hold and rib stretch 👍🏻 and you can feel that lovely sensation of lift - depending on the pose!
Hey, lovely of your friend to recommend me! If you have a prolapse, it's best to learn one-to-one (we work via video call) to start with. We have a symptom improvement programme for women with prolapse called Create Lift, which is getting amazing results! This will ensure you get the breathwork and poses correct and that you progress through the best poses to reduce your symptoms. The videos in the beginners playlist here are just a taster, and the other more advanced practise videos are aimed to be follow-on videos (free practise videos for life) for women we have worked with, or anyone who is competent with the technique. Hope that helps! Do get in touch if we can help you further. Alice

Would it make sense to lift the pelvic floor while exhaling?
Thanks in advance for your answer!

Hey Alice, a friend recommended me your videos. Are these safe if a person has a prolapse?
Appreciate your response.
