So, I don't think that all the leftist historians have questioned their scholarship or tried to disregard their works.

In fact that is why I dislike Sir Jadunath Sarkar. He does not mention the only one good thing that Aurangzeb did. The British did not give a Knighthood for free! He kept quiet over the opium issue!

I dont know about NCERT under congress but guys I studied my school book history under left front rigime in Bengal. And I can assure you that there were many quotes of RC Majumdar and JN sarkar on many Indian historical events as well as Romila thapar. Im not a leftist but I can say they didn't remove these people from school books atleast in Bengal.

My father was a pupil of Prof Kalikinkar Dutta one of the co- author of An Advanced History of India along with Raychaudhri and R.C Mazumdar. ( Prof Dutta was one of Jadunath Sarkar's pupil). Prof Dutta had a very low opinion of Pandit Nehru 's historical knowledge. But after all he was the Prime minister of India and what ever he uttered was worth in gold . This was his observation.

J l nehrue was a third grade in which he has preoccpied knowledge given to him by his bishop tutor.
