Great info, I broke my right shin bone (inner side) when my ebike fell on me due to wet offroad. I am trying to find a motorcross boot, but looking thru sidi, alpinestar, etc, I still can't find a boot that has HARD SHELL on entire inner section (like ski boot). Any suggestion? Thanks !
Tech 7 from 1994 buckle broke in 2014
Tech 7 bought 2015 no issues super comfortable 👌

I also have the tech 7 and I agree it’s super comfortable and not too bad to walk around in

I was hoping to see the new Leatt boots. I know they aren’t in stock yet but I want to get the new JW22
We have a spotlight coming very soon for the new Enduro JW22 version. I've ridden in them so feel free to ask any questions - Chase
@@rmatvmc In your opinion, the 4.5 or 5.5 enduro?
Tech 7! Most comfortable boot on the table!

@@noformstyle tech 10 or sg12
5:01 that bike bottomed out HARD
I broke my ankle wearing a tech 7, now I’ll upgrade to a tech 10… in case you’re wondering how, I fell in a turn, a buddy of mine was right behind and didn’t have time for a full break and his front wheel hit my ankle…. Just had cirurgy this monday for two screws do fix the broken bone. Wish I was wearing a stiffer boot.
I'm going on my first ride with the SG12's tomorrow. Never had a premium boot. I hope all the hype is correct
well it is a little hevier but gearne boots are the best
Give them them tine to break in and you will love them
@@habiby203 well I know that they are grate because My dad has gaerne boots and I also want the sg10 for Christmas hopefully
Best thing I did with my SG12s was take the crappy insoles and get a pair of good gel ones! Wish I did this soon boot becomes about 10x more comfortable! Only flaw with them in my opinion especially when they have 100hrs on em ha

I have tech 7’s got about 40hrs on them ,
Have worn a hole in the left sole,
I’m done with Alpinestars,
Going with Sidi’s
you did that ... mine are very old and still better that Fox Inst
Personally I had the tech 3’s. I wanted to upgrade so I purchased the SG12’s. They was great boots, but they are heavy. I wore them about 9 months and decided to sell them and get the Tech 7s. Honestly don’t regret going from a premium boot to a mid-level boot. Like you always say Chase, don’t let the price fool you!
That's awesome to hear! Glad you're liking your Tech 7s. Thank you for the feedback. - Chase

I've had 3 pairs of instincts. Love them but the buckles are cheap. I'm switching to tech 10s for more support but the instincts have so much feel and flex

Not sure why the Sidi Crossfire was not included, my two cents - go for the stiffest boot you can, I’ve broke my feet with a premium boot and would definitely spend the extra buck for more protection!
Wouldn’t want to think what happens if I had a cheaper boot.
Are you saying that the SIDI Crossf is stiffer than the 10's ?
Can you do a review of some Enduro boots? trying to find my first pair of boots but I don't ride track.
If you look at all enduro riders or trail riders that race scrambles etc, they all wear motocross boots, if you want a lot of foot peg feel and are willing to sacrifice toe protection, and protection of get hit by something, go with A star tech sevens, if you want all that protection and durability go with a pair of garnae sg12 or the sg10’s the sg10s would probably be better because if you’re just getting your first pair of boots sg12’s will be way to stiff and you’ll hate them, or maybe look at the Sidi atajos, or Sidi crossfire 2’s or threes, boots like those are better for off-road, where you’re likely to hit you feet on rocks and roots etc, you don’t need the ankle flexión support or a tech ten because you’re not likely to case a 80 foot jump in a trail, But honestly any boot is better than no boot, so even if you buy a entry level or a mid level price point boot that’s way better than going riding in a pair or shoes or flip flops.
Great video as always guys !
Fantastic in-depth review I now want all of these boots 😂 I wish
It sounds like my Leather High Points may be out of date ?
Tech7 or instinct is best for me
No Leatt? Crossfire?
I have a pair of Gearne sg12s and have nothing bad to say about them. Great boot just takes a bit of time to break in.

Sidi, Guarne and fox have been good to me. Alpine stars haven’t worn well and seem like junk compared to the rest. I’ve had all the ones I mentioned.
I feel that next to Garne that the Forma Predator is the next best boot, and is the best value of premium boots, it would be nice if you guys would start carrying Forma products, RM ATV is my go to place to shop online, but I had to buy my Forma’s else where.
out of curiosity, why didn't you include the Leatt GPX 5.5 FlexLock?
Probably not in stock yet
I've had them for several months, bought from leatt. I'll be going back to sg12s I think..
Love your work chase best reviews on the net. Cheers from Australia.
Much appreciated!
SG12 is the best out there. Get what ya pay for. Great quality 👍
No doubt
I have tech 10 and I owned them for 3 months ish and I have a crash and snapped my tibia and fibula in 3 spots so I’m not sure if I can trust them to much but I still will run them maybe
I feel like the Leatt 5.5 needs to be in this

thay are wayyy soft
I think SG12 beautiful and nice boots
Where does the Leatt 5.5 fit in this category?
Hi Chase i have a question i was wondering if i should get the alpinestar tech 3 boots or just spend $80 more and get the tech 5s. Great video once again keep up the good work.
Spend the extra $ and get the Tech 7s
Tech 3's are Garbagio
Tech 7 is awesome
Definitely a really good boot!
Alpine stars solos
Great comparison, but should also considered the LeaTT boots!!! Dan xx
Bought tech 7s and don’t get me wrong they are a great boot! I just couldn’t get over the ‘heel float’ that I suffered from in them. Went to a tech 10 stuff out of the box but now they are worn in they are fantastic. Slightly narrower then then 7 and a bit fiddle to put on but chase is right 7s are like a ugboot. But for me 10s are the way to go. I had instincts previously and I struggled with the narrowness of the boot and the buckles all needed to be loctited as they constantly come loose. Rest of the boot wasn’t bad. If you ran the supervented tech 10s what happens when it’s wet do you just suck in water? I guess that’s the only thing during me away from it you’d need to own 2 pairs depending on weather conditions?
Thanks, Ben. That is great feedback. Yes, the 7 does have some heal float. I can get used to it but it's not my favorite thing haha. Thanks for the feedback. - Chase
Leatt boot shud be there instead of those dam fox boots
GEARNE SG-12. the only boot still NOT made in china.
Would be great if they just leaded with that. Gearne it is thank you !!
Everyone: China is a**hole !!
Thank you for clarifying this. Gaerne it is.
I have had my tech 7 for 2-3 years and they are amazing but am starting to look for the gearne sg 12 just kinda wanting to experiment
Definitely offer more protection but will take some time to get used too! The build quality is top notch I made the same switch a year ago boots a tank. And I definitely feel more safe in it! Feet will just bounce off a boulder in the trails 😅

Will there be any spotlight on the new Forma boots?
What boot compaines off half sizes like 10.5 ?
Do another 500$ motorcycle challenge again please
I need new old boots. To save a few $$
Chase!!!! Can you please do a buyers guide on pants and jerseys. Example. Summer pants, summer jerseys and fall stuff.
Do like a best jersey and pants review...I need new gear

Would you recommend the leatt 5.5 flex lock boots for riding in the desert?
They will work great for any type of riding.
I need a pair of decent mid range boots, but I am a slim, THIN CALF, most every boot I see and try on, are way too big around the calf. I Bought a pair of SIDI Gortex adventure boots and they were almost TWICE my calf width as far closed as I could get them. So of course I returned them.
Can anyone recommend a good decent boot that will close to smaller calf thin riders and size 11 foot? Would much appreciate.
What about Leatt 5.5 ?
I had tech 7s in a size 10 fit great I needed a new pair decide to go with the tech 10 but I am bummed . I had to go up to a size 11 because of the inner boot the tech 10
Size 10 was way to small. . To be honest I’m not happy with them and may be going back to a new tech 7.
What don’t you like about the 10s? I have 7s right now and was just about to get the 10s
the secret to riding in hot weather : injinji toe socks
Toe socks are a wonderful thing.
What is best for Jumps ?
I would say the Tech 10 has the best design for absorbing large impacts due to the flex control insert on the front between the two lower buckles. - Chase
@@rmatvmc thank you I’m going to go with them I think
Enduro boot buyers guide? The Atojo is a better boot that the Crossfire?
I wouldn't say it's a better boot but I prefer it over the 3. - Chase
Broke my ankle in a tech 10 i set my foot in a rut and i twisted my ankle.. what are the best boots for ankel protection
To be honest with you, every boot has it's limit of how much it can prevent a bad ankle injury. The Tech 10 is a very supportive/protective boot and I don't know if any boot would've changed what happened to you.

Is there going to be a review on the leatt 9.5 and 8.5 helmets
Yes. It will be live very soon. - Chase
Enduro = SG12
Dang it all...I had rapped my mind on Tech 7s...now am second guessing on SG12s...even tho am a complete novice that still wants to get premium boots off the batt..
The Tech 7 is still a really good boot. It's not as durable as an SG12 but for a novice, it will last you a very long time and you'll really like it. - Chase

Hi
how is LEATT and FORMA boots not in the lineup?
The Leatt boot could very well be in our 2022 guide and we don't sell Forma MX boots.
Leatt Flexlock 5.5 any good?
I know a few riders that have them and they had positive reviews. Only negative for me was the hinge rubbing on my ankle, but that is subjective to the person wearing them. Aside from that, the ankle support is good, peg feel is pretty good, and the foot bed area is nice and wide. We have some on closeout right now for $299.00, that's a hard deal to beat. - Chase

Alpines stats
400 is way to much for a boot
But it’s 2020.
i can’t even jump
Gaerne or Sidi. Italian made....alpin., fox CHINA!
I have tech 10s less then 10 rides and ripped them (first ten rides of my life ) will never buy them again .
