In high school I couldn't do or touch enough art of any kind, oils, acrylics, crafts, stained glass, chalk/charcoal, it didn't matter. 40 years later I still have that yearning to create but never got to pursue my passion (or I should say never had the courage or mind set) so I've done so many other things and worked my way AROUND the target. Now I'm close to retirement and art is in my mind every day. One thing I've noticed is there are tons of crafty people and although I love doing that too, it's doesn't challenge me to be better, crafting just gives me more ideas. I still want to be a real artist with my own style and gifts. Great videos!
Great interview! So much good advice in here. I ordered the unstoppable artist bundle around Black Friday last year and it’s changed my life even though I’m not at the point to start doing festivals yet. It’s given me hope that this life is possible and it’s laid out the path that needs to be taken to get there. It’s so helpful to see the concepts taught in the course in action for real up and coming artists. Right now I’m fully in process mode trying to improve my skills and find my voice as an artist and I’m loving every minute of it!
I've been painting for 24 years and got my start with galleries. I made a lot of money but I have to tell you during the 2008 financial crisis it was rough. Even some of the top art galleries went out of business. I lost my house and at least seven galleries that represented my work closed. I had to start over and it wasn't easy. I re-invented my work and got some new art galleries on my own. Even the rich will hold off spending money in a recession.
I actually found the opposite in 2008... It was actually my best year at that time. But... yes... the economy definitely impacts sales when what you are selling is a luxury item.
I'm envious of these young ladies for the seemingly outrageous great success they've had. On the flip side of that, I'm truly delighted that they have the youthful passion that I had at that age. I hope they don't let anyone destroy that passion.
What about her history as a drawer and painter? A little background where she talks about her past and development as someone who loves drawing and painting is really missed in this interview.
Hello I have been painting most of my life. Did some shows erc. But hardly sold my paintings. Maybe li could use a Mentor. I spent a lot of money for different programs. I am a young 77 lady and I would love to be my own Artpreneur. Any suggestions. Thank you Sandy Sereno
@@sandylightheart3343 hi Sandy. I have a program with a bundle of courses that I am sure you will find helpful. Here is a link to the landing page where you can watch a video to learn more about it. Because the technology is constantly improving I don’t feel comfortable making a recommendation. I would go to a reputable camera and photo gear store and speak with the staff. Tell them what you want the camera to do and what your budget is and they can give you the best advice about what’s available right now. In my Unstoppable Artist Program I do have a course on editing digital photos for artists where I show how we shoot and edit our photos for prints… and how you can get great photos suitable for prints from an iPhone. There is a link to that course at a huge discount in the description👍
The Unstoppable Program with all of my courses plus a live zoom call with me is $199... that's over 80% Off of the cost of the individual courses. You can learn more about this course and my other courses by clicking the links in the description.
@@leonienolan511 good question… in 2019 I had some serious health issues and almost died… that led to an epiphany… rather than just cranking out more paintings and making lots more money…I realized I wanted to help artists that shared the same dream that I had… Since 2020 I have been focused on just that by growing my online art academy… that has required a full time effort over the past 5 years to make that a successful business. It is now at the point where I will be able to get back in the studio a few days a week… and you will see more new paintings going forward😊👍

That's a good point... she only drew as a hobby before joining my program
Outstanding interview!!! Thank you so much.

Do you have a camera recommendation to take pics for prints.

What can we do if there are no art shows in your locality or city?
You can take advantage of the opportunities presented by the internet and social media... or you might just have to travel.
When there's no solution... there's always pr0st!tut!on 😅😅😅
The link to Unstoppable artist program isn't working.
Thanks for the heads up 🙂 Its working now👍

saw an EBAY artist that copyrighted his DNA & imbeds fragments of his hair in his originals !
That seems a little over the top and “gimmicky” but if it works for him… more power to him👍
Question are you now teaching art sales etc because you no longer make money from selling your work ? Why do you not paint anymore??
