Thank you from Cleveland Having Kluber, Carrasco, Bauer, Clevinger, and Miller out of the same bullpen was insane. We didn't end up breaking the then 69-year drought, but the excitement of following this team and listening to Hamilton's calls on the radio the whole way through are memories I'll cherish forever. I think you said it best: someone wins it all every year, but no one has ever done this. At least we have that.

God this content is so good. The narrative, wordplay, and comedy are masterfully done. Your work represents the difference between really good content and superb content. It appeals to the hardcore fans and engages casuals. Seriously, somebody (like the MLB) should be paying you to write/produce/narrate baseball content for the betterment of the fans and the game itself.
As a 16 year old fan who grew up watching this team, I'm glad I got to grow up watching something special. It's one thing to be a fan of some other team who watched this win streak after it was already historic, but it's another thing to watch it as a fan of the winning team before you even knew what was coming. I was devastated in the 2016/17 losses, but hopefully we can have our chance again soon.
Felt the same way. That Indians team from 16-18 were so good, and the games were so fun to go to. Sadly they had nothing to show for it in the postseason besides the magical run in 2016, its heartbreaking that they never won it all, and are easily won of the best teams to never win it all.
Lifelong Cleveland fan, and this streak was so much fun to witness. In our restaurant, we had every game playing on the TVs, it was awesome seeing everyone get together and cheer for the team
Most overlooked player of the 2002 Athletics. Everyone mentions that the A's had three aces, and Lidle wasn't an ace, but he was a good fourth starter. He was worth more than three and a half wins above replacement by either WAR metric. You don't win 100 games if your 4th guy is mediocre. If nothing else, he was certainly more important than anyone featured in the movie or book, but his story wasn't one that you write books or movies about. That doesn't mean he shouldn't at least be recognized as being a key contributor to the team.

You know, there needs to be a Moneyball 3 about this year's Baltimore Orioles. I'm still thinking about a title and plot, we'll see what happens after the season.

It's why so many games are played a season compared to other sports. It's why the very best teams of the live ball era have win loss records of somewhere in the low .7 range and why this and the 2002 Oakland run is down to variance swinging wildly in one direction, just like it did this season for the Angels to lose 14 in a row after starting the season with such a high win percentage.
That’s kind of the point, though cleveland did it pretty definitively, allowing 10 runs in 12 stars for your starters is a great way to win ball games. But it is definitely luck based, but not luck driven. That’s the way I’d describe it
