This is without a doubt my favorite video of yours. Tim Lincecum will forever be my favorite baseball player of all time. As a kid, he inspired me to continue playing ball. He was short like me and had the same long hair. I had the unique pleasure to meet Tim when I was freshman in high school and I told him he was my favorite player and that my dream was to play against him one day. Four years later, I met him again at the University of Washington, where I had become a student-athlete on the baseball team. A couple years after that, my dream practically came true when I got to face Tim in live ABs at Driveline Baseball. Tim will forever be my inspiration when it comes to baseball. Thanks for this video Foolish, you've made my day
@Braxton Kuker Cy Youngs mean nothing. Awards are meaningless because they are so often given to the wrong players. He's worth like 35 less wins than he needs to be to have a good shot at getting into the Hall of Fame.
I remember that Sports Illustrated story about his delivery; the torque he got from twisting back, then striding forward almost 7 feet was insane, we’ll never see anything like it
Thinking about Tulo as a Rockies fan gives me mixed emotions. Part of me is sad because of how he exited the team and later the league, but part of me feels warm inside for how he affected my childhood as one of my favorite players. Him, Helton, Holliday, Cargo, everyone in the Rocktober run, were the people who made baseball my favorite sport for my early life. I'll never forget Tulo.
I'll forever remember Tulo for hitting a line drive straight to Jose Fernandez and Jose catching it like it was nothing with Tulo going, "Did you catch that?"
When I started watching baseball, Tim was in his prime Quickly he became my favorite player Nice to remember how fun was watching him to play SF - LA rivalry had a "boom" with Lincecum and Kershaw in the same generation Wow Wow Wow And again Wow
Its a shame his violent motion due to his short frame heavily shortened his career and dominance....but it's also what made him fun to watch even when the Giants were medicore as a team...he was their star for 3 years and I loved watching him pitch even though I wasn't into baseball
My favorite non pitching Lincecum related thing was how back in 2010 in high school, I had a friend that didn't care for baseball but was super into weed. The 2010 post season was going on and I loved talking to him about how the star pitcher for the team in the world series was a pothead. Good memories.
I stopped watching the MLB in 2010 and started really getting into RUclips videos about the sport recently. When I found out what happened with Lincecum’s career, my jaw dropped. The dude was absolutely running the sport when I had stopped watching.
its insane how tim lincecum went from being one of the greatest starting pitchers in baseball history to a liability in a matter of 4 years edit: watched the video, feel like a goofus
8:40 this was not the first Giants World Series Win in 54 years, but the first since 1954, or the first in 56 years. Aside from that little nitpick, great video!
Foolish Baseball I can absolutely see that being a really easy mistake to make, I actually had to check to make sure that I wasn’t the one that was wrong.
Lincecum is probably my favorite pitcher of all time. He dominated and won it all for my hometown team, he was a quirky and relatable guy who seemed to embody the spirit and style of the fandom, and did all that while being one of the most unique players of his position. Grateful I got to watch Timmy smoke the league for a bunch of seasons.
My favorite pitcher and favorite position player of that era. I had such a massive man-crush on Tulo. I got to see him hit two homeruns in one game against the Giants at Coors Field. I miss him dearly.
Great video. I was there at the game when Tulo debuted with the Jays. His home run during his first plate appearance with the team was such a shot of adrenaline. He might not have been early 200s Tulo, but he was still a giant of a player to have on the team, and a wonderful shortstop down that 2015 stretch that gave Blue Jays fans so much to be happy about.
He was like the opposite of Randy Johnson frame wise but had the same control and impact I feel albeit for a shorter time...he was scary for hitters to face
Hey dude, just wanted to say that I adored the way that this video focused on all the positives of these two icons careers - much of the baseball world tends to just go "yeah, they were great but what if ____ etc etc. As a giants fan growing up (and still one today) I've come to realize that while Timmy was truly incredible and we unfortunately didn't get to see him as long as so many of us wanted to, it's a privilege that we were taking along on the ride in the first place and got to witness such a wild feat of a 155lb kid pitching in the majors. Anyway, great video, and I'll forever look back on this era with fondness!
2011 Tulo literally carried my middle school fantasy baseball team. I always loved Tulo and it was a shame that injuries plagued his carrier. But when he was on the field, he was always one of those guys that it was like I have to see this at bat. Edit: As for Timmy the decline in velocity from his body and aging really hurt him cause his change up just got worse as a result.
Love this video man, I was a big Rockies fan during this time and I remember these two story lines colliding in the NL west. Thank you for the nostalgia:)

Wouldn't have done much. Barry hit only .276 in his final year in 2007. He was already on the way out, and probably would have been gone before their 2010 world series run.
My favorite pitcher growing up and still today is and will always be Tim lincecum. He holds a special place in my heart watching him dominate through my childhood.
Though it was years ago, I'm always fondly remember being a young AZ Dbacks fan getting to watch "The Freak" work his magic against us during the 2010 season.
I miss Timmy He was my favorite pitcher growing up, then all of a sudden he disappeared. As a kid, I never found out what happened until many years later. :/ And Tulo? That man was *different.*
I don’t care what anybody says as a Phillies fan my whole life, watching baseball at 10-12 in Lincecums prime he astounded me I would love to see him in the hall of fame
I feel so incredibly lucky to have witnessed Tim Lincecum's prime and get the feeling of nostalgia when I watch clips and compilations featuring him. Lincecum will always have a special place in the hearts of Bay Area natives as he helped usher the sports renaissance of the Bay Area in the 2010s. The Bay Area got to see World Series Championships, NBA World Championships, Super Bowl runs, and even a Stanley Cup Final run.
In my opinion, Timmys downfall started when they stopped letting him smoke weed. If only he could’ve been 10 years younger and been starting this day and age when it's more acceptable…

Love these 2 and this video! Growing up in the late 2000’s/early 2010’s Lincecum was my favorite pitcher (even as a Rangers fan) and Tulo never ceased to amaze me. Thanks for taking me back to those days so vividly.
I remember watching the end of Tim's first no hitter and being super happy for him as his career was going down a bit. Loved watching him pitch. Tulo was a beast as well As a Tribe fan the name Grady Sizemore gives me a similar vibe to these. Maybe not as well known but the same path.
At 7:00 you see Tulo’s old toe tap. At around 7:06 you can see his new stance and that’s when he started tearing it up and that looks like his stance now crazy to see that difference
Really reminds you that you have to "take in the moment" in sports at all times, especially with its ELITE stars. You never know when things may take a turn for the worse for either your own team or the transcendent stars of any given time. Awesome video
In 2006 my family introduced me to baseball. My mother watched the New York Mets in their post season run, including that painful loss in the NLCS. The next year, we watched the post season again. That's when I fell in love with the Rockies. Watching guys like Cook, Helton, Holliday, Ianetta, Atkins and, yes, Tulowitzki was magical and it made me fall in love with the franchise, the team I support to this day through the many downs and the exhilarating highs. And Tulo was one of the guys I loved to watch, Tulo was special. What the front office did to him was absolutely criminal.
Hey man I discovered your channel in may-ish and because of you I decided to try to get into baseball this year. I'm loving it despite being a Phillies fan. Just wanted to say you made a baseball fan so thanks :)

Love these 2 and this video! Growing up in the late 2000’s/early 2010’s Lincecum was my favorite pitcher (even as a Rangers fan) and Tulo never ceased to amaze me. Thanks for taking me back to those days so vividly.
Tim Lincecum was my favorite player growing up. This video made me cry. Screw you. Thank you.
Thanks for this. Lincecum got me to fall in love with the game. Miss him dearly
I'm so thankful for this kind of video, greetings from the land of baseball, Dominican Republic.
I get very happy when Foolish uploads.
2 great choices for this kind of video, these two are icons of the era in which i grew up watching
THANK YOU! I think I’ve asked for this multiple times! Love the Freak and Tulo
I remember watching the end of Tim's first no hitter and being super happy for him as his career was going down a bit. Loved watching him pitch. Tulo was a beast as well
As a Tribe fan the name Grady Sizemore gives me a similar vibe to these. Maybe not as well known but the same path.
Excellent video. I haven't seen to many videos on Timmy so it was good to see one. A very good one. Thanks
timmy and tulo were my fondest memories from mlb the show on the ps2, so happy u made this video
At 7:00 you see Tulo’s old toe tap. At around 7:06 you can see his new stance and that’s when he started tearing it up and that looks like his stance now crazy to see that difference
Love the videos, Keep up the great work! You are a gem of a youtuber!
Thank you! I'll do my best.
Just wanted to say you made a baseball fan so thanks :)
this was a super good video. grew up idolizing these two guys- miss the days when they dominated baseball
