As a Dodger fan, I didn't mind if we lost this game because it was mostly a good showing by both teams, but losing by the error absolutely sucked. I just felt horrible for Muncy because of how rough the season has been for him.

I was so sad when that ball ate Muncy up because I knew it was a breakdown with just the deke alone. Then add the error , the loss and I knew Jomboy would be all over it
Great base running by Quwn is an understatement, that was the deciding factor. He doesn’t advance on the Mookie throw, he’s on first when Max boots it and then only gets to second anyways with the boot. What happens next is anyones guss, but that was spectacular heads up critical base running; arguably the single factor teams can do to gain an edge in todays game. They don’t want to steal, well you better hustle when you can then because being 90 ft ahead is huge.
It wasn't great base running, it was executing the fundemantals like every player should. If he is not on second after the throw to third it's a huge mistake. But because so many of today's players are so fundementally weak it's considered greaat base running
that fan that you pointed out was yelling, and there the whole game. The ump made a bad call and he was on him about it lmao. you could hear his screams to the ump on tv. it was funny as hell. also the kid was biting the arm sleeves that were given away free at the game.

I knew the moment I saw JT make this play that Jomboy would cover it. JT made a great play in a rundown in the 2020 Atlanta series that saves a game. He's an underrated 3rd baseman.
We were talking about that dude the whole game. He was so loud you could hear him on the broadcast. It was awesome and so much added fun. What a great game!
@@stevebabiak6997 I was hoping Jomboy would do a breakdown of this game and was pretty sure if he did he would spot such an enthusiastic fan if he did.
I always find it kinda crazy in baseball that you can have first and third base coaches standing right by the bag and being allowed to give the runner info on where the ball is. And it's because of this that makes it even crazier these kinds of trick plays can succeed at all.
Funny thing is the night before, people were rightfully BASHING Dustin Wathan (3rd base coach) the night before for a horrible send of Herrera that Betts absolutely nailed him at the plate for. But he was right on it here. Also you should've seen that same fan yell at the umpire after a bad strike call to Hoskins in the sixth! you could hear him clear as day "Blue, Come on! What is that?! What is that?!"
Great vid. You're right on about the trailing runner. Every news vid I saw focused on the error by Max. I had no idea that the runner on 2nd got there by Betts' decision to try and get the runner at 3rd.
I really can’t express how much I wish you’d do more breakdowns of my favorite sports, basketball and futball. Bc I’m watching these, every single one, even though it’s a sport I could care less about, because it’s the kind of commentary and analysis I’ve always wanted.
Kudos for your praise of that fan! I HATE seeing people in the seats schmoozing or texting or doing some other irrelevant activity while there is action on the field. Why do you come to the game? There are 2 primary good reasons to come to the game. 1. To enjoy the ambiance of the venue with other fans. 2. To support the team you favor where they can actually hear and see that support. You don't go there because you get a better view of the game; you get a much better view at home, especially with today's big screens and hi-def. You don't go so that you can better understand what's going on; 9.5 times out of ten you will get a better understanding of that from the TV or radio commentators than you'll be able to glean in person. And, unless you're in the really pricey seats, you're not going to be anywhere near as comfortably seated at the park, stadium, rink, or court as you would be at home. So unless you are contributing like that guy was, you are a waste of valuable butt space that a real fan could be using. You probably arrived late and will leave early to beat the traffic getting out. Your only contribution was monetary, and you could have just mailed that to the team office.
