    Look delish. It will cut less stringy and won't tear as much if you cut the breast meat away from the bone first. Then, slice it the opposite direction of how you did in the video. Cut it East to West once breast is removed... not downward from the side/ top of the breast while it's on the chicken or a turkey.

    our AC has been out and I am wracking my brain on what I can cook that is easy. I actually have an Instant Pot that I have cooked whole Chickens in.. (I even cooked an old chicken I found in my Freezer and cooked that from Frozen.. came out perfectly!). I also Invested in a Slow Cooker again too so I am going to try this this week.

    Can you cook a whole froxen chicken in a cockpot

    • @bakesfoods
      @bakesfoods  5 месяцев назад +1

      You could but it would take longer and will most likely result in an over done breast. Best to thaw it in the refrigerator 24 hours before. Make sure you reach an internal temperature of 165.

    They precook in a STEAM oven and finish on a gas type bbq grill.
    Would be interesting to do Nandos peri peri chicken using your method.

      I have not been there. But that is an excellent idea! I will have to try that. I would recommend only cooking the chicken for 2 or 3 hours so it doesn't fall apart so easily out of the slow cooker! Thanks for watching!

    What is that red spice you mixed?is that paprika powder or red chili powder?

    • @bakesfoods

    Good recipe…breast side down or up is always up for debate but when broiling, I would flip over and do breast side up to crisp the skin.

    • @bakesfoods
      @bakesfoods  2 месяца назад +2

      No need for water when cooking on low. The chicken fats and juices will be enough to keep it tender and juicy! Especially if you add some onion 👍

  • @KM-wv2og
    @KM-wv2og 8 месяцев назад

    Quick question what does broil mean? ❤

  • @cerorchid
    @cerorchid 25 дней назад +1

    Why breast side down?

    • @bakesfoods
      @bakesfoods  23 дня назад

      The fatty parts of the bird are in the back. So as the juices render, they will run through the bird form to the breasts and help keep it juicy and tender! 😎
