    Love the table saw, my first table saw was an old dining table with a hand held bolted to the bottom. That worked very well.

    Very nice conversation to the cart. I guess a lot safer on four wheels than the wheel barrow. Thanks for sharing David. ATB Nobby

      I was only using the wheelbarrow tub before. It was mounted on a ply base with 4 casters so very stable. It's the tub that let me down, I think this was the third replacement.

    Great job 👍👍 It must have been tempting just to screw your plywood box to the base of the cart. Making it removable really increases the usefulness of the cart. Cheers, Alan.

    Just looked, that is a decently priced cart (Sold out at the moment) and I like your adaptation. Merry Xmas to you!

    I have an Elektro Beckum saw table that has proved faithful in similar jobs. One question though, how do you store your sand between casting sessions - do you bag it to avoid excessive moisture intake?

    • @myfordboy
      @myfordboy  13 часов назад

      I will store the sand in this box. I dry it out , sieve and add water before the next session.

    Question; Is it better to remove sand from mold quickly or can it be left overnight to cool? I know it must feel like Christmas to open presents but wanted to know.
    Thank you kindly for sharing! DK, Omaha, NE.

      Remove and quench if you need to machine the part. Otherwise it doesn't matter.

      Depending on what it is you are casting it matters a great deal.

      @@deankay4434 No advantage in leaving it to cool it just bakes the sand so best to breakout when metal is solid.

    The metal laminate plywood worries me a little. It seems like a recipe for a delayed fire; Hot metal or part touches metal side of laminate, Heat reaches inner face of plywood, but no oxygen. Inner face starts to smoulder and burn very slowly and invisibly. Eventually smouldering reaches outer face and bursts into flames when you are least expecting it. Just like welding on a metal topped wooden table.

    You know it was made to last because that saw predates safety. Carry on

      I have no respect for that know all Aussie who has made several videos criticising my method.
      My flask profile with removable pins is my own design and I believe was made before his poor versions.
