- In this episode of Hermitcraft season 10, Mumbo builds a giant and detailed gold mine shop. This Minecraft Gold Mine build is inspired by the gold rush, and involved abandoned mine shafts, gold storage rooms and other interesting details. Mumbo also finishes up his industrial gold farm, and works on some other builds in the Hermitcraft 10 shopping district.

This reminds me of my first ever automated gold farm back in the Tekkit days. I hid all the piglin death away and just had a chest for the output with signs reading "Don't think about where the gold comes from"

I am absolutely loving how the permits have made the hermits make super unique shops this season. The minecart to deliver the gold is beyond adorable, Mumbo. And the build is amazing in all the details!
I can’t wait for Keralis to come back in 5 seasons for the 19 Gold.
Well now that the 12 bamboo is a real life canon item, someone is gonna make bank one day when the 19 gold bars need to be made real.

In the strange land of Hermitopia, court was now in session. The King of Hermitopia, Mumbo, acted as judge, jury and executioner and opened the court with his booming voice. “Hello and welcome to another Hermitcraft episode with me, Hermitcraft.” Many bizarre customs existed in Hermitopia and referring to court sessions as “episodes” was probably one of the strangest.
The defendant, Iskall, a fantastical and wonderful creature from another land, almost resembling a dog, was not impressed by Hermitopia’s unusual customs and was almost appalled by there almost neolithic attitudes. He had been tapping his fingers against the desk since entering the courtroom and staring dejectedly at the ceiling. Members of the audience found this strange but upon being asked “What ARE you doing?” he spoke, sounding bored with the Hermits, “I must go, my people need me.” The King, sounded pleased with this idea. After all, he had been planning on exiling the defendant anyway. “You actually may have a good idea here,” he announced.
The defendant though, was not happy with this decision. He had ventured across lands to come to Hermitopia, as they were known to have great riches and he refused to leave without something to return to his land. "Gotta get money. Gotta get money." he muttered quickly, "Can't let anyone else get money." Mumbo was appalled by the defendant's greed and declared, "I declare from this high throne, that these will be taken away immediately!"
That settled the court and the defendant was lead out of the room by a pair of guards, Xisuma and Rendog, where, they of course, had to perform a routine inspection of the defendant's person. "I know this is awkward," started Rendog, who was new to the job, "but I would like to see your butt please." Murmurs from the courtroom floated down the stairs of the people of Hernitopia, clearly pleased with King Mumbo's decision. "Spoken like a true King." was a vastly recurring line. Iskall, chuckled at the sound of pandemonium upstairs. How could any civilisation live like this? he thought and then aloud, "Okay, that is 100% madness.". Xisuma smiled at that and turned around to face Iskall, when he noticed Rendog, who was searching thtough Iskall's clothes and pocketing all of his valuables. "This is illegal!" he shouted, though when he made a move on Rendog, the other guard pulled a sword on him and declared, "Right, let's start stripping babies." Xisuma, quickly handed him his wallet and jewellery and the moment the sword was from his neck, repeated, "This is illegal!". Rendog pulled a mask over his face, shouted something unintelligible in a deep voice and leapt through the window, making away with his loot.

Buy the carrot permit, if there is one. Then sell 'build your own golden carrot' shulkers with carrots and gold. Also build an auto crafting station that will auto craft the 'build your own golden carrot' into golden carrots. Undercut the competition.

The kinetic nature of calling the minecart to buy gold really ties the build together, imo. It makes the looped minecart have purpose, it really does all tell a story together.

Netherite, Golden Apple, Golden Carrot, Villagers, Blocks for beacons, armor from piglins, building blocks, Piglin Bartering, Glistering melons, Powered Rails, Light Weighted Pressure plates, smelting for xp, angering piglins, mining small amounts instantly, insta-mining wood under your enimies EDIT: I NEVER SAID IRON WAS WORSE, IRON IS STILL BETTER. Mumbo just failed to list the uses

I love seeing Mumbo evolving from his signature geometric and practical build style into more organic and fun builds. Embracing the building part of Minecraft has definitely made him a more interesting MC content creator instead of "just" being a redstone wizard

I like how ever since Grian joined the Hermitcraft server, both Mumbo and Grian have been learning from each other. For example, Grian has improved his readstone skills and can understand how some systems work and, on the other hand, Mumbo now builds highly detailed builds and thinks more about why these details are in his builds.

I love that all the Hermits are going more for quality small builds, over huge builds with lots of repeated patterns this season. It's so much more cozy and beautiful, it gets us beautiful finished builds much faster, and it's inspiring for making my own builds in reasonable amounts of time.

Now for iron, I think you should put put a similar build on the opposite side of the item frame shop, as if the two sides of the mountain are being mined for resources! Great job building Mumbo, been awesome to see your building journey grow. Also, it would be awesome to see you go and see Joel, his builds really take it to another level!
Season 10 has been a season of growth for everyone. Builders doing redstone, Mumbo injecting story into his builds. It’ll be incredible to see the hermits at the end of the season. No one is staying in their comfort zone
I've also noticed a lot of hermits building smaller things, but adding lots more detail. The server still is in the starter phase kinda but it's nice not having every video be one massive build project and instead a couple different things with a lot more personality.
@@ProfeshinalI think that's down to a lot of people being tired of the idea of a megabase. It's a huge commitment both on camera and behind the scenes.
i also think that in alot of cases the permits helped some hermits to step out of their comfort zone
I’m loving watching you build, it’s so refreshing to see the thought process as opposed to the building Timelapse’s that a lot of other hermits use. Personally I love watching your videos while I build because the thought process helps me think about what I’m building
This gold shop, is one of my favorite Minecraft builds in the history of Hermitcraft.
I’m so happy that this season has seen a major shift from huge even mega bases, to tons of buildings with every block placed with purpose.

Mumbo’s building style in my favourite in hermitcraft for real. Clean and beautiful. Uses my fav building blocks and doesn’t clatter things.
Can we stop for a moment and appreciate how far Mumbo has come as a builder? To think, only a few years ago he was building geometric shapes out of quartz and stone slabs, and now he's doing terraforming, gradients, and detailed texturing! :D

Ever since The Chair in season 8 mumbo has been genuinely an extremely impressive builder which is crazy for someone who is also so good at redstone. He's too powerful! If he gets good at PVP he'll be the unstoppable trifecta.
Scar using the “WHAT IS HAPPENING” horn is even funnier to me bc he caused bdub’s reaction when he said he call axolotls “ass-olotls” during one of tangos streams building decked out 2

Bdubs is probably the best builder on the server. Better than Grian, i mean Grian is one of the best and he deserves all the respect, but he is overrated as the "king of building"
@@Max-zo6rv I think the title is nothing more than just a title and no one believes he is the best , he is called as king of builder mostly because he was one of the frist famous builder and the most popular building tutorial. Its the same as mumbo called as king of redstone, both of them title are mostly not seen as for being the best but rather for their contribution to their community atleast nowdays most know there are not the best .

Mumbo I gotta say... This is your best work by far! Seeing how you’ve progressed from even just season 8 till now is so cool. You’ve grown not only as a builder, but as a content creator as well, who focuses on what they enjoy, rather than what the algorithm demands.
A content creator who is looking to please the people, and beg for money, is exactly the reason I hopped off of TV years and years ago. So, when I see it happen here, I'm out.
It's refreshing that RUclipsrs as big as mumbo can still do what he enjoys.
It’s so great to see Mumbo enjoying the game. And enjoying Hermitcraft. I joined the channel way late - early to mid season 9 - when Mumbo had no motivation or interest in HC. It’s nice to see him happy and energized.

this is probably one of my favorite Mumbo builds, the way he made his shop feel alive by telling a story with how he decorated it. You can tell he's learned a lot about building from the other hermits and he's always pushing his builds to be better than the ones before

1) Candles can float. Place on block then break block, and place hopper underneath.
2) To cover the armor stand you can push another block into it from above before the cauldron.
Can they not make the stands invisible?

Mumbo becomes a better builder each episode! I genuinely see him as a builder in Season 10. Starting to expand from just the smooth stone pallete that he used for many years!!
Imagine if he keeps getting better at that same rate, maybe he'll reach Bdubs's level in like 7 years.

Yes I love that not just Mumbo is improving in that area, but Impulse as well! So many Hermits are going out of their comfort zones this season and I absolutely love it!
Can't wait to see Grian, Sar and Bdubs and all the other builders react to this shop, it's just so cool and creative. It's really fun watching Mumbo becoming more and more of a builder.

You could have the looping minecart go inside the mine and stop when the pressure plate is powered, and then have the filled minecart come out once the looping one has stopped. It should look like the gold is stored in the looping one, could be a simple & small (but hopefully cool) detail :)

I love seeing the non emphasized bits mumbo puts into composition. It is like he is looking for the shot while setting up to film a scene. Taking a look at all the common perspectives to make sure it looks good.

@@OnkarPawar00 He's making sure that no matter where someone's eyes drift in his composition, that there's a little detail for them. Like how a director will have people come in with props around the edges of a shot in a movie. Which makes sense, since Mumbo does film lol
I love how this is the season of everybody learning from everybody and really having a strong community compared to past seasons where everyone would essentially just hide in their “castle.” I think the smaller builds are really contributing to that.

But imagine if the gold "shop" was a casino where you would pay diamonds for a chance to win gold. I'm really enjoying how creative the shops have been this season as they have the freedom to do this since there is no competition. Imagine the flashing lights and gold raining down from above if they win.
Mumbo's comment on how useful (or useless) gold is just means that he can be creative about how he sells it.

Honestly that may bemy favorite shop in the shopping district this season. Big (mostly useless but loveable) build that has insane amounts of character and looks wonderful, a quirky delivery system, and a lot of effort. It is very entertaining and a wonderful sight, and seeing the minecart deliver gold makes me so happy.
If the gold shop could speak, it'd sound like Yosemite Sam.

Little details like the golden helmet in the cauldron are part of what makes Minecraft builds so brilliant, that was so clever and I felt myself getting so happy to see Mumbo proud of his idea lol

the whole ''build telling a story'' thing made me think of scar, he is such a good builder when it comes to that mindset. it would be aweasome if you make an episode with scar building something together or kinda like he teaching you building stuff or something like that :D

Being from an Area with gold rushes as a major part of the history, I actually have some ideas for this one; Most gold rushes were powered by rivers-the average miner would spend their time panning or sluicing for gold in a river, and sleeping in tents to defend their claims. When mines began to spring up in mountains, there were still often rivers nearby to harness the rivers as an engine to bring debris and gold out of the mines. On mountainous areas, people used giant water cannons to erode the areas in hopes of revealing a giant vein of gold or ‘the mother lode.’ TLDR: Tents, water wheels, or water would all be fun additions to the base of the build. Great build Mumbo keep it up!

Australian gold rush towns all tended to be on rivers, too. Interesting that we think of mining for gold for the most part these days, but the rushes all circulated around panning. 🤔🤔

Awesome gold shop build! Suggestion: you could add an entrance/pathway next to the gold sign that takes hermits on a catwalk tour of goldmine mountain.
maybe you can add an observer to the TNT so that when someone lights it, a dispenser can place water to avoid damage to the build

If someone can find a video of his without one, I will be flabbergasted. He somehow does and doesn’t realize he is doing it, which makes it a guaranteed experience.

Just so you know Mumbo, you can have candles on hoppers and pretty much any block. Basically you place a block down and put the candles on that block, then break the block they’re on. For some reason this doesn’t break the candles, and you can replace the block below the candles with anything.
I saw this shop in Joe's stream last night, and I was convinced that you got help from one of the "builder" hermits. I'm genuinely surprised to learn that while you took inspiration from looking at other shops, you otherwise did the whole thing yourself! You are officially a builder, Mumbo!
Etho buying out all the gold in his episode was a great setup for Mumbo having NO CLUE what gold could be used for lmaooo

I think it'd be really cool once the gold farm is producing a ton that the shop could get a little upgrade. The cart could go back inside after a purchase, diamonds being autosorted out into a lil profits chest, and more gold being put in so that it stays stocked. I know he's selling gold blocks, not ingots, but it would mean he wouldn't need to restock often and the chest wouldn't run out if multiple hermits were suddenly buying.

Every chest full of gold he sells, the shop does a little jingle and firework show and the lucky customer gets a free stack of gold blocks. That could be pretty cool too.
The calm narration over constant violent explosions is a very entertaining combo.
Seeing you grow up as a builder is sooo inspiring, for me it is even more inspiring than looking at professional builders, it feels like I could learn just like you

17:48 Mumbo, candles can float, so you can place the candles on another block, then replace that block with the hoppers. The candles will then appear to be on top of the hoppers.
Hope he sees this cus that would add so much even if no one goes in there lol

The little delivery cart is a genuinely wonderful addition. Justifies the entire shop tbh.
The gold store is genuinely so cool, and may be one of my favorite builds in the season so far. It feels like the entrance to a ride at Universal Studios, just so alive and magical. It put a big smile on my face, well done Mumbo.
Watching Hermitcraft on and off, it was absolutely charming to see you fall in love with building again.
I think mumbo struck gold with those grindstone items being used for decorative pulleys, really puts a shine on the build if ya know what I mean

consider having people ring the bell as input instead of standing on a pressure plate! you could do this with a sculk sensor or just an observer!
you should add a diamond filter to remove any payments on the inside of the building along with extra storage of gold blocks that automatically refills the chest minecart.
Hey Mumbo! For some extra detail to the outside of your shop: gold ore, i think it makes it easier to see it’s a gold shop from all angles. But it’s only a suggestion, so do what you want! It does already look really good though!

This season has been so fun, I feel like i got to watch Mumbo growing into a better builder for the last 2 seasons and now he's reaping the rewards. It's really great getting to watch the whole process.
Mumbo you can actually put candles on hoppers! What you do is place a block where the hopper should go then place candles on that block, finally break the block and place the hopper where the block was.
