@@SamFranklin42701 Yeah, Sony made a slight change to the dualsense controller a few months back, the internal board is in a different configuration and I have heard rumour that the actual shell has a slight difference too now, so a lot of the vanity products are currently only compatible with the old style.
I actually saw this as a missed opportunity for Sony. I would have thought lighting would have been included, especially in the base controller or the dual sense edge, with the main buttons for x o ^ and [] buttons being rgb in the PlayStation colors. Would been cool.

Front bezel? Maybe. But for the backplate you'll need the OLED motherboard since the TF Card Slot is different. Also the OLED is ever so slightly wider.
If you want to extend the battery life a little longer use red , this is due to red leds have a lower current draw than any other colour / colour combination.
My original controller just started stick drifting on me so I'm thinking of doing the same thing you just did lol. Fingers crossed lol. The black controller is absolutely amazing!

Not only you're using metal tweezers near a still plugged in electrical circuit but you're pulling the cables in the worst possible way. For anyone interested in doing this please get a pair of ceramic tweezers or use your fingers, and pull the ribbon cables from the base!
Did it today works like a charm. But the lil silver rectangle falls off and is annoying on mother board.. have to hold it or becareful once it falls off its like brain surgery to keep on. And the light track for the joy sticks need extra adhesive, doesn't stuck good .a few drops will do the job looks sick. only I can play with it no kids allowed !!
So, if you turn your console off, do you have to turn the lights back on each time you turn the controller/console back on? Or will the lights auto-turn on every time you start up your controller?
@@quinnsccj8453 you can use the controller for pc, I only have a PC and use a PS5 controller with it, there is also a program called DualSenseX so you can even use the adaptive triggers even if a game doesn't natively support them

I was a little scared of opening up the controller but now I seen this it's not that bad but it looks more complicated than the cheap PS4 controllers I definitely got to give this a try with a used controller or something won't attempt this with my first controller lol

The good thing is that the buttons are made of glass which makes it easier and cheaper to make it RGB so you also don’t have to buy glass buttons.
