  • This is part 4 of my series on buying a cheap 99 Honda CRV with a blown engine and putting a low mileage JDM B20 in it to have a cheap, reliable daily driver.
In this video you can follow me along the way of actually pulling the old motor, swapping over necessary parts, and putting the new one in and actually taking it for a drive.
Future videos of this project will just be small cosmetic things. As of this part 4 video, this project is basically done and is now my daily driver.

Around $100 means more than a hundred and I’m glad to see you do actually own a funnel

I really dug the edit, great video bro, looks like it turned out as a clean little daily/project.

Thanks bro. It's also nice after selling the crx to still have a 90s honda in the stable lol. The Sierra is sitting in the garage saving miles. I just get it out when I need to pull a trailer or haul more

That hard cover looked new. Im looking for a green one for mine. Hopefully I find one soon because it sure does complement the crv.

Lovey daily driver. That crx si is a beauty in the background. I got a eg2 vtec del sol, and a ed9 crx si. Both projects whilst the crv is the daily driver.

I just picked up a 97 that already had a jdm swap in it. They trashed the inside. I replaced most the interior. I put on a used bumper, grill, hood and bumper cover that I got from pick n pull. I got the upper control arms, ball joints and, tie rods and swaybar inlinks and bushings today. The transmission wasn't shifting all the time. It would be sluggish. I checked the fluid and it was burned. I think I can salvage the transmission. Anyways, great video. 👍 I've owned all kinds of hondas and wanted something practical so I can daily drive it and still haul my kids around. I have a truck that gets 15 miles to the gallon on the freeway...

Yep sounds like we both have a lot in common. Can't remember if I said anything about it in the video but I also have a crew cab 4-wheel drive truck that gets about 15 miles per gallon and was also looking for a cheap beater car that got better fuel mileage that I wasn't afraid to drive anywhere and could keep miles off my truck all while also being a good kid hauler. I've already put over 15,000 mi on this one and it's been really great. Good luck with your newly acquired CRV👍

Should have got that center console with the woodgrain. People buy those for like $80 bucks and up online!

Thanks for the tip! I may go back and buy it just to sell. I don't really like it for my car but I'm sure they didn't make a ton of them.
