Look good bro how much you pay got 2000 crv 5 speed where you can got good clutch want put sonthin work for like 3 year more my original only want to put it stray pipe that's it let me know thank bro
I was looking into one of these kits so glad i found your video. But just to add some knowledge or atleast a thought. Im pretty sure that odb2 reading was just the volts at the battery so it wouldn't ever show any difference of voltage unless your alternator was going bad. The big 3 is a definite plus if your adding subs
I was unaware 😅. I’m no electrician and I despise anything to do with electrical work. From what I read it is better for speaker upgrades. Thank you for watching Mike Honcho. I think I seen your name in a magazine before 😂.
In electrical terms, "Flow" refers to current and is measured in Amps. Voltage is proportional to Amperage but not the same. Think of voltage as the fluid inside a pipe. You can ( although not an exact comparison) think of Amperage as the viscosity of a fluid. Any damage to the insulation of a wire will negatively affect your Amperage and cause voltage drop. If there is a portion in your wiring that is showing wire/damage to the insulation, you should definitely look to see why. Is it rubbing on something or getting pinched? You may want to include some plastic conduit in this area or even wrap in it electrical tape or rubberized wrap and then electrical tape and then apply a sealant covering the tape so it won't break down due to the wear of plastics in the environment. The problem with any worn wire insulation is that it allows for corrosion. You can think of corrosion as debris in your fluid. If there is corrosion you will experience voltage drop which negatively affects your more sensitive electronics like the speaker system. You may hear some distortion. This would be shown by reading the frequency which is also proportionally affected by your voltage and amperage. Frequency is measured in Hertz. Anything that depends on variable frequencies like most electronics will be affected. Hope this helps for anyone wondering.
Thank you for the comment, and the time to write this. Your educating me, and potentially anyone else that gets to read this to comprehend in leimans terms what amps and voltage are. My wiring is fine, and my original wires were not too degraded. I just seen an opportunity to upgrade for making a new video; plus adding a thicker wire for the future. In the near future I want to add new speakers and a 10 inch subwoofer. Hoping the thicker gauge can help with voltage.
I used O gauge battery cables set up and fluxed and sodered both ends on each cable .I used marine terminals that bolt right to the cables and sodered the terminal then bolted right to the positive and negative battery post looks very clean. I put a cut off on the negative terminal if I wanted to disconnect at anytime. I also replaced all the ground straps to 4 gauge with terminals sodered at both ends also .the positive coming from fuse box also up graded to number 4 copper cables terminal at both ends .really made a big difference in charging .the factory cables was so thin I could not believe factory thin cables .I used marine heat shrink tape at both ends .red for positive, black for negative of course .
Hi, great video ! 😊 One question please: how do you get OBD2 /Torque app on your RD1 ? I am from germany and i have a 99`CRV, but only Hondash works with my car... Greets from Germany 👋
@@schasahan744 it only works on Android. Not iPhone. So if you have an android just look for the torque app. It should be free. Let me know if it works. Thank you for watching the video!
@@ElReySupr3me Hello from Germany, thank you for your fast response 😊👍I know it only works on androids, i have no OBD plug on my car. I only have a 3-pin plug and a 3-pin to OBD adapter wire and i have torque app, my smartphone connects to the OBD connector (Veepeek) but the connector can not communicate with ecu.... Greets
Flow was the same, but I believe it decreases the chances of thermal runaway. So if you put a sound system in your car the increased wire gage will surely benefit the flow of electricity in your vehicle. Hope that helps.
I believe it is, but the guy increased the prices. That's the kit. It's $10 more now. www.ebay.com/itm/125695495998?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=GdzKWBBdQFK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=v12yLpLJR3u&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Are u sure it went to the alternator it looks like it went to the starter
You are correct, and I was wrong. It did go to the starter. I pinned your comment to let ppl know.
Of all the maintenance ive done to my 99 this is def something i overlooked. Adding it to the list now.
It's a nice upgrade, and allows you to freshen up the terminal connectors and wires! Mine were crusty af haha.

Wow nice! I bet you saved a lot more money as well vs what I got. 0 gauge is so thick as well so your definitely getting a full charge.
Good stuff. I'll be looking at my 01 now.
thank you!
i've been looking for a set to upgrade myself thanks
Your welcome! Your going to like the upgrade.

one question will it give me a better flow?

Is their a wire that go from the battery to the alternator?
Yes there is. I ran it the same way as the oem one so it looks hidden. Its the red wire that's running down to the alternator.
At 5:42 you can see the wire running below the air box.
Are u sure it went to the alternator it looks like it went to the starter
did you get a bigger battery on the crv?
No it's the same size. Im not expecting to put a crazy sound system. Mostly did it to have fresh new wires.
What window visits are those?
Wells visors
What does unonamously mean?
They just work collectively. Or they work together.
This kit is no longer available

Actually it's the same price. But thats the exact kit I bought. I absolutely love it and has cleaned up the engine bay well.
Please subscribe to me bro. Much appreciated.
Sure is available?
I don’t find it
