- It was very interesting time. Culvert near the dam also I've found mobile phone in the dam structure which was very interesting thing. I've even turned it on after I've charged it :)
Enjoy the video;)

Sir, don’t be disappointed today. Look how much water you released. It’s not your fault that the culvert isn’t being maintained correctly. We all enjoy your videos and respect your efforts or you wouldn’t have so many followers. Please keep up the good work and we’ll see you on the next video. 😊😊😊
Perhaps all roads where there is money or man power to keep the Gilbert's clear should be seen as a mistake the roads closed and let the area go back to nature?
Where there is no money or man power...
beaver is a boss, he has his on GSM !
Those beavers 🦫 are tech savvy these days
At least you tried your best
Be glad they didn’t build inside the culvert.
An excavator would be able to quickly remove this Beaver Dam but, it's much for interesting to watch Mantas "The Dam Buster" do his work. Thanks for the cool video.
Another great job 👏
Dude! This one was fantastic. Only wish you had cleared the blockage downstream from the culvert exit!
WOW! Beavers are the best engineers!!
Well who do you think built the hoover dam, the beaver Brothers inc.
You did the best you could and the video was worth watching. I am reminded of a reel of some folks pulling a tire through a culvert to clear the mud. Thanks for your post!
That culvert really slowed things down.
It would as it was already half way blocked with silt.
knowing that the culvert was already partially blocked you should have tried to open it up a bit especially with the amount of debris you send downstream, it only further blocked culvert. Now you have an even bigger problem.
I was low-key thinking the same thing. Was thinking that he could have released a little bit of water first to help to erode it and then work at the blockage, then fully open the dam
and aren't we Keen Observers of Details ! hidesight
@@bulls_shit Yes there's plenty of armchair experts with 20/20 hindsight after the event.
It is amazing how much water a beaver dam can hold back! Thank you for sharing your videos with us.
Mantas, you did a excellent job , you can only your best that you can, maybe in a few day's , you can check it out and see what has happened . David B., Utah, USA . ♥♥♥.
Can’t win them all , you did your best ❤
Maybe that phone belongs to the beavers 😀 In advanced dam construction, they use phones for reinforcement like people use steel in buildings.
I just know some father beaver is looking all around his home for that phone. 😂
You can only do what you can do, don't feel disappointed.
Nice video. Great channel, Keni!
✌✌👍👍
I do so hope you come back to this damn. Your work will make a lot of field area farmable. It will also preserve the roads nearby!
I just took the new drone up over my nine acres on a river. I now count five channels running through the 1/2 Kilometer East west property and a Huge Beaver dam that has actually been on the Satellite photos since I moved in 22 years ago!!!
Thank You for your view and your thoughtful work. Nothing in Life is meant to be perfect and MAN is Not the only one with plans or instinct to do so. I was actually Happy to see that the buggers had a permanent Home!!! I can't use that Island, Anyway!!!
Damn. I need a phone like that lol. In water and still working. That is awesome. Good work my friend. Thank you
Going to take some effort to clear the culvert. Tks for sharing - enjoy your posts.
This would make a fantastic revisit video to c what you have done and how it affected the culvert. I greatly enjoy you from USA
don't let the bad comment get you down you do a lot of good for the farmers the phone was parable throng by some one who was bad
Well you did your best that's all a person can do. I'm sure you reported it to the guy with the machines. Maybe you could film it when they come. ❤😊👍👍👍 Though you're still the best. 😊
That was a tough one Mantas, the culvert being partly blocked obviously doesn't help. Give it a little bit of time for the inflow to drop and maybe have another look to see what can be done to clear the culvert. There's only so much you can do with your rake, shovel and gloves.
Call your Bud with the excavator.
It's not that easy transportation of excavator. Many kilometres to go.
Get a water pump and blast the mud with a water hose to clear the culvert. I use to call the local fire department. They would always help in clearing mud.
That's a lot of water wow😮
The phone is for beavers sending messages to one another. They type a message, through the phone in the flowing water to let them know the Kenislovas is coming and they should relocate. 😂
Put the phone inside a container of dry rice it will take away the moisture. Be sure to remove the battery. In a week the phone should be good.
👍👍👍👍
Once the level is dropped, hopefully the culvert will be able to handle a normal amount of water. 🤞
Great video, love the phone find, my sister used to have one for working on the farm, it's a good advert for them, impressive structure they built, those beavers 🦫 certainly know how to keep you fit 😂
The culvert is too small for the flow. Or, the flow is too large for the culvert.
Hello Mantas 🦘❤️❤️❤️
Here in Canada, we call one of the major cell phone providers and they can tell who tyhe provider is , after you open the back of the phone, and give them a specific number. Then, you call the provider and they contact the owner of the phone.
Keep us updated. The water is draining just very slowly. There's build up in the culvert that needs attention, which you know. Don't be sad: you did your best.🤗
You could push a stick tied to a rope through the dam and then pull the rope.
You would have been better clearing the culvert first😢
It was impossible to clear it. Water pressure was rhe right thing✌️
Not only that all the sticks are going to clog it up
I didn't know beavers had mobile phones?
In our country they have :D
Might run the potato rake through the ground in front of the culvert & inside for 6" - 1' & at the exit if you wind up in the same position again. Could lead to the water pressure peeling the sand in the culvert out
Clearing the mouth of the culvert during the draining would be obvious & I'm pretty sure you did that even if it wasn't on camera
I'm very intrigued as to how much debris the water did clear out of the culvert in the end?
Hi,
No I didn't clean sand in the front of the culvert. And at that time I couldn't see the result how much debris has gone.
@@Kenislovas Maybe you could do a drive by for a follow up video?
It's content of one kind or another
Oh the complainers and experts that come to the comments section. They forget your by yourself.
Im sure many years ago this ditch and culvert was perfect with less sediment but now they have not been working on it for a long time. Not much you can do about it.
I can see that your beavers have time to build dams. Around here, they don't.
Great what those furry engineers get up to.
The culvert is so small, you did enough. Suggesting you check this side and probably the other side of the culvert to remove some debris if possible. Not really your fault that the dam break would have mud from dam and small sticks might pass but can accumulate too.
You didn’t do anything wrong. I’m not sure how you would clear that culvert by yourself. The water looks like it’s draining, though slower than you wanted.
I have said to myself many times, the size of the limbs and branches you let go downstream will create problems. This, plus the culvert being already partially blocked has defeated your good intentions. I do like what you do, I just don't agree with the size of some material you intentionally let go downstream. I am not trying to criticize, just trying to improve your method. Keep up what you do.
This goes for the turf embedded in the dams too.
This doesn't just dissolve in the water and eventually will clog the drainage channels to the point that they need to be dug fresh again.
@@mnomadvfxall of these channels need to be dug out again either way sometime in the future, him sending at most a couple excavator scoops downstream isnt going to make a huge impact. Keeping the flow going also makes sure there will be less sedimentation where the water is stagnant behind the dam
