      you are exactly right if you look at that time line. We used to see clips where our athletes would come in 39 out of 40 contestants etc. People who laugh at us now don't know history and it is changing.

      That's a positive perspective I am looking to share and reflect. Having a hard time here with so much negativity around India's performance.

    I'm a sports man. I love Sports. Wish India comes out in maximum events with flying colours. And when our National Anthem is on when an Indian Olympian acheive a medal. When our National Anthem is played goosebumps sensation travels through our spine to raise hairs up on our body. It creates an atmosphere of oneness. Stand still with eyes set on our tricolour fluttering high in the event.. This is India. Jai Hind. Bharat Mata ki Jai.❤

    Hope you could have asked him more about Sports that we find India missing in and what are the plans to spread our wings in those Sports. I am looking at the variety of Sports that Great Britain Team is winning medals in and the breadth of their athletes.

    Never mind imaginary Olympic medias but how many medals won ? , The desperation was seen with all the "Nakra" created in the Olympic disqualification of the female boxer , who tried to fight in the 50 Kg cateogory using 53 Kg strength, since in her natural 53 Kg cateogory she would not have got any medals,;

    In case of medal prediction, he might be a genius for being this optimistic or smoking something we never tried before. But lets hope he is correct 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🙏🏻🤧🤧

    Shooting has already got one medal. Hope we get another tomorrow. But terribly disappointed at the performance of Archery. Hope we can match Tokyo-2020. India's trend in Olympics has been seesaw for last decade, Good in London, not so in Rio, again Good in Tokyo, so keeping finger crossed for Paris. 🤞. In coming years, we should explore water sports like swimming.

      We are relatively young country in sporting arena. We had to re-build since independence and basic necessities took the front seat but now you will see exponential growth in sports.

    The talk about lone hope or not winning medals on the athletes causes pressure on them
    India plans to apply for hosting the 2036 games with programs in swimming, cycling and other events which have more than 200 medals allocated. It takes decades for these programs to mature and making negative comments such as heart breaking, crashing, or bad news for losing out in the matches is not good for the future
    India needs about 300+ qualifiers to compete with China and so the losers in these matches will become future assistance coaches for the 2036 games
    The physical school teacher or PT has to look at weight and length of an infant babies reports made by the doctors at birth. If after 10 years of age you can seperate them to different sporting activities from about 10 crore kids in high school depending on weight and height at birth and develop the athletes from the grass roots
    China is 20 years ahead or more, which is not that important, but hosting makes a difference to the tourism economy, in addition to the countries image
    The important thing after the Olympic games in Paris is practice hot yoga at 32 deg C in your city like Mumbai or Kolkota and cooling down after training by sitting on a ice bucket, instead of just going to the gym which is not that effective for professional athletes because diet or coaching is not enough
