However, I didn't have the facts and words to articulate my point very well. Now, I have a video to send him that shows what I was trying to say finally.

Marketing? All the examples that Ganesh has given in this video, almost all of them had an organic appeal. None, i repeat none of them were forcibly shoving their thing down everyone's throat. The royal family doesn't have to spend much in attracting people to their events. BTS, squid games or parasite did some marketing, yes. But they didn't have to hijack all of the social media to get people talking about it. They didn't even have that much money. And seriously nobody is getting impressed. Even foreigners are either getting irritated. This is not at all helping anyone! Even the ambanis.
Well explained. If Ambani wished, he could hv his son’s wedding anywhere part of the world say Dubai for his cash richness. But yet he had it in India. So think for those who complaining..a man spent millions of his own money that actually help India’ s economy. He literally promoted India and her rich culture to the world by inviting top leaders and celebrities .
This was because last year PM Modi asked poeple to "Wed in India" and Ambanis replied to Prime Minister in an event that this is good iitiative by PM and we will do the same.

As a school teacher myself, I'll talk a bit about marketing of government schemes in edu sector. India is so focused on marketing and advertising these days that there are unnecessary and unproductive activities in schools every freaking week, sometimes almost everyday, for which we have to document reports and upload or send to higher ups. I myself can barely conduct 12 classes a week on average out of my allotted 20 classes. I have been a practical and activity oriented teacher even before all this, but it's getting too much. I can even see a drop in performance and general intelligence of students. Not saying marketing shouldn't be done but it gets too much too often. What is the use of marketing ( sometimes a good word for faking or scamming) if there's no useful substance or it doesn't help the very innate purpose or quality? I think this applies to a lot of other sectors too.
Let's discuss.. Would you prefer India marketing itself or someone outside marketing their experiences in India... For every ambani wedding experience, dey can find 100s of hungry and poor experiences. I'm not being socialist here... Just be human... What's the point of doing annadaan, vantatram crap if u burn crores for a marriage worth several thousands? Our culture lies in simplicity and simple living not extravagant showoff and self praise... Very wrong to associate these habits to Indian culture.
@@6santosh6 Our culture doesn't do any simplicity poverty porn. That's the fake mindset Gandhi filled in all your minds. Hindu culture thrives on Dharma Artha Kaama Moksha. What hard earned by changing government laws and lobbying with the government why are we not a single new telecom company for like last 1 decade Ambani would one day lose everything if they don’t mend their ways and actually create something and not just become rich by lobbying
I hate people when people say that "All those money could be used in development or helping the poor!!". I mean come on! They are businessmen and not the government or any charity institution! @Dyingsoul59 I don't think those are major issues, infrastructure is improving drastically and so is poverty. But culture and mindset should change...culture not as heritage....that is among the best in world but the culture of short term thinking like fooling tourists, scams etc
@bajajsarvesh I agree with you, but the way I see it people do scams and fool tourists and all other bad practices because they are poor and they need money, they may not find the right opportunity to earn money and have low moral values or live in harsh conditions and find such unethical ways to get money by doing criminal activities. The country's infrastructure is improving but it's a long way to go, I still see potholes and stray cattle on the road. People are not educated enough, no one cares about rules, they lack resources, and most Indians struggle to earn enough to meet basic needs do why these people care about such things as social responsibility, civic sense, or as you mentioned personal space, etc? I think it is due to poverty because rich or upper-class Indians generally have good education and surroundings, they usually have etiquette and they mind their own business. But an average poor Indian who has nothing to do gets into every matter and often crosses the boundaries.

Look at the sheer craft displayed at the wedding, how often do we see holograms and this scale of intricate sets and so well thought out in a wedding decor, a bride donning an entirely painted and embellished lehenga by an indian woman artist in collaboration with a luxury indian designer. It is expected out of foreign countries to throw negativity but seeing Indians be embarrassed and annoyed was extremely disheartening. I was extremely happy and proud seeing bold indian colours, embroideries, food, jewellery, architecture and textures being used and so beautifully. India faces significant internal challenges, such as education, healthcare, income inequality, and poverty-issues that developed countries like the UK and South Korea have largely addressed. Everyone here are talking about how Ambanis spent nominal amount of their wealth for this wedding in comparison to other middle class and lower middle-class families. It's like saying a poor guy is spending 60% of his earnings on food alone so it's not crazy for a rich guy who makes a billion dollars to spend 0.5% of his wealth on food. 0.5% of a billion dollars is still equal to 5 million dollars (42 crore rupees), which is beyond anyone's means, its beyond lavishness and luxury, it's insane.

India requires substantial improvement, not just marketing. Over 800 million people lack access to adequate food, education, and healthcare. Income inequality and discrimination are also pressing concerns. The countries that excel in marketing, such as the UK and South Korea, have already resolved these issues.

India faces significant internal challenges, such as education, healthcare, income inequality, and poverty-issues that developed countries like the UK and South Korea have largely addressed. It is crucial to prioritize solving these problems before focusing on marketing.
India requires substantial improvement, not just marketing. Over 800 million people lack access to adequate food, education, and healthcare. Income inequality and discrimination are also pressing concerns. The countries that excel in marketing, such as the UK and South Korea, have already resolved these issues.
Moreover, the G20 event serves as a reminder of this disparity, where temporary walls were erected to hide impoverished areas from foreign dignitaries. This approach highlights the need for genuine development rather than mere superficial marketing.

This wedding created meltdown in western media.
They could have done this wedding outside India in Europe too yet they choose India. I m sure government suggested them to do so. The kind of marketing they have done for India is commendable and this is a apart from the wealth distribution during this event
No, any decision made by Ambanis regarding family functions is the result of consultation with astrologers.
Why are so many youtubers trying to portray this wedding as something phenomenal that happened for the sack of our country. Same amount of money when invested strategically in education, businesses and health care has potential to produce enormous monitory and social benefits.
Marriage is not a business investment like movies/songs which are meant to make money, marriage is predominantly a discretionary spending which can never be compared with other soft power elements like songs, shows and movies.
So please stop trying to paint this wedding as the best thing that happened to this country. It's just a wild aspiration of the wealthiest family of this nation to show case their power and status to the world.
