Thank you for your video. Regarding 1:43, the suction cup on the base of a vacuum vise does not require "lubrication". This is because lubrication is used to provide slipperiness. Instead what is needed is adhesion which is the opposite of slipperiness. Therefore use a few drops of plain water (not oil, grease or silicone spray) under the suction cup to provide capillary action which forms a moisturized seal that keeps air out from penetrating through the vacuum seal. Furthermore capillary action works much better on a smooth flat surface such as glass, glazed ceramic or polished metal rather than on top of wood which is porous.
I bought this recently and the vacuum seal crap does not work whatsoever I don't know why they even thought that was a good idea so I took it all out and drilled holes in the feet and bolted it to a table and now it works wonderful
