I've had that vise for a couple years now, served me well... just needed a small vise that I could move from bench to bench when doing small projects (mostly soldering). I do a lot more buying from HF now that they started carrying upper scale tools; Icon, Quinn, Doyle.... They've stepped up their game!
Heck yes that is a nice handy little vice , I am going to get one. I have many different tools from there , some good and some not so good. I have a Quinn socket set that is really well made and has a decent price. Thanks Brain , have a great weekend !
I will have to look it the Quinn socket set. I could use a 1/2 drive wrench for some sockets I got a while back. Hope you have a great weekend as well.
Have it on my repair table at school. Have it mounted. Great little vise! And another favorite tool is the buffing wheel that I have mounted to their stand to buff valves and the occasional brass instrument, flute or cymbal.
Awesome! I love that you are so involved with repair of band instruments as well. Such I cool area of repair that I would like to see more of. Have you watched in instrument repair videos? I’m sure there are some.
Great looking little vice. You don’t always have to have the best most expensive tools to get the job done. I’ve always had good luck with Harbor Freight stuff.
I have a clamp on vise that was made by Pony Jorgensen, It works very well, the only thing I don't like is that it does not have as many features as your vise does but it works well for small projects and has a pipe vise built in. When I do larger projects I use a larger Pony vise.
Would something like this work for the occasional higher torque application, I rarely need to but occasionally I need to torque things down about 60 - 70ft/lbs would that be too much for something like this. I used to have a proper workbench but my new rental made me downsize everything sadly.
Just checked out my local HF for some leftovers. No dice. There's a few on Ebay; price-gouging of course. Do these come with, or are any available, plastic jaw covers so you don't mar your subject? Thanks. EDIT: I just found a decent alternative called a "hobby vice" by Stanley. Seems to have good reviews. Model number 83-069M. Lowest I found was $42 on Amazon
@@ThatFixItGuy got the other model they’ve focusing on making now. The sticker was still there for the model you showed. Said clearance on it. The associate I spoke with said this one is what they’re going to be focusing on making and if they do get the other model it’ll be very rare when they get them in if not at all. Bummer. This new one suctions to the work surface. Limited to a smooth work surface now
I might be able to use that clamped to my coffee table in living room to hold crackers while putting cheese on them
Lol! If your wife is anything like mine that ain’t happening, but would be a hit at your next house party for sure!
I just bought one and I also think this is a great deal. This is not for heavy duty use, but it is very handy and flexible.
Dude glad you showed this. I have not wanted to BOLT a vise to my bench. Its perfect for me. Love It. Good seeing you again
It is perfect for this. At some point I will show the vise in my garage. I did not want to drill my bench either. Thank you for checking this out.

Someone else mention the Quinn tools. I will have to go check them out. I love that you have this vise. It is a nice little vise for the cash.
Thank you so much for showing how to use this amazing tool, I just bought one and didn’t know how to use.😊
Thanks for showing this vise! I definitely will pick one up the next time I am nearby HF.
Your welcome! Thank you for watching.
Thank you for sharing! Next must do mod will disassemble it and apply grease or anti-seize on metal to metal contact. My $0.02😃
That is a great call. Thank you.

I have a Brad Nailer, Electric Impact and a welder that I have used for a few years and love them. And the were pretty cheap on price.
I bought a bed nailer as well. I feel that some of the products have gotten better over the years. Plus it’s always fun to go shop there.

Totally agree Steve! As long as it gets the job done.

This little harbor freight vise has been awesome. And for the price it can’t be beat. Thank you Jack
Wow I’ve seen Pony and Jorgensen tools but didn’t know they were 1 company 😂
My favorite and frequently used HFY Tool is their "Spring Loaded Center Punch".
I totally love that as well. I bought one to drill the tile in my kitchen for the shelves. That is how I would get through the glaze on the tile.
A another tool review coming?
Cannot find the model in the Harbour Freight. Could you please show me the link? I like this small vice
Thanks very much. I was looking for one .

Thank you for making this video.
Your welcome. Easy to talk about a good little product.
SWEET !
I'M GOING TO GET ONE .
DEFINITELY COST LESS THAN AMAZON .
THANKS .
I know and I think harbor freight will take it back if it jacks up. Has been a great little vise.

Can these hold a 2X4 snug?🙂
Thanks
Just on the 2 side! Not flat on the 4.
A link to that vise woul be helpful. I went to Harbor Frieght site, couldnt find it !
i looked all over their website and couldnt find it. gonna make a trip later this week to see if they still carry it. hopefully they do!
They are gone from their website. I hope they will come back soon. Mine got stolen.
@@ThatFixItGuy damn that sucks! Hopefully they do show back up!

harbor freight floor jacks are the best out there
We could use a That Fix It Guy in the UK, that isn't sponsored , eh hem.
What brand is this?
Could use this to hold a small part that's really hard to tap
For sure. Would be great foe that.
Wooo!
Thank you for watching!
From where can I order this?
I got mine at harbor freight.
I paid $7.89 for mine this past summer.
That is a steal! I love it! They are a great little vise.
Are you the roughest, toughest, rootin tootinist, ombre' this side if the Pecos ?
Lol. I’m your Huckleberry!
👍
👍
Great for tube bending, just level the jaws off and you're good to go
That is a great thought. Thank you.
What "habor freight" thing are you talking about? like people are embarassed to say they bought tools from habor freight?!?
hmmmm does not look sturdy enough for my abuse i like to be able to clamp a steel beam in a vice and beat it flat with a sledge hammer
I don’t know if this little thing is made for any beam beating. I think you would rock this little thing!
Stopped watching as soon as you measured that opening at an angle.
