Thanks Dale. After watching your videos, I felt armed enough to buy a new Aspire 5 a month ago and upgrade it with additional RAM, new 1TB NVME, 2.5" SSD and then made a clean install of Windows 10. As proof I watched your videos too closely, after first re-installing the back cover the first time, I quickly realized I had forgotten to re-attach the battery cable! Felt so good when it booted up and the whole process start to finish took less than an hour and a half. Good to see you back and feeling better.
Dale, I have an Acer Aspire 5 (11th Gen i-5/Iris Graphics.) I installed a 500 GB SK Hynix P31 Gold NVME drive, a 1 TB Crucial SATA drive and a 16 GB so-dimm of Crucial DDR4-3200 RAM. (20 GB total) Thanks for all the great, play by play videos! I really like my tricked out Aspire 5.

I was fortunate to get a brand new Samsung Galaxy Book computer, and when I booted it up the first time it demanded I booted into a Microsoft account to complete setup.
Yes Dale, kind of annoying about the Intel RST/VMD Drivers… also does not makes you use the drivers of the NVMe. For Samsung, you cannot fully utilize the Samsung Magician software. When I can disable it in my laptops, I choose to disable it and use the drivers of the SSDs.
Thanx for the video. Wonder why PC manufacturers make laptops with only 4 Gig of RAM. Just asking for trouble.
So do i have to download the RST Drivers on a usb? The same way as windows creation tool? Sorry, im new to this

I am not adding new SSD but I wanna format and do clean installation but I am unable to find the SSD how did you solve that please help me with that my laptop is acer aspire 5 gaming ACER Aspire A515-57G

What about activation?
MS patched the unplug the internet to skip the annoying forced crammed down our throats garbage MS accounts... now it says "You lost your internet connection" and you have to try again. Also, they removed the back arrow in the latest build 2023-04-30.
