I have a 2024 Trd-Pro Tundra great truck lots of power, so far has done well off road no issues. I looked at the sequoia since it is built on a tundra platform so it's basically an enclosed Tundra. They are huge! but still very cool, I traded in my 22 Trd off road tundra for my pro and it is a night and day different truck. Not cheap but it was a good upgrade, easily.
Great review as always, it’s nice but honestly wouldn’t buy until they redo the rear cargo area to make it more functional & the rear seats to be able to slide.
Should offer an option with no 3rd row. Folding seats take up way too much space. No auto 4wd is another problem. Toyota missed on these. Nice suv though.
It looks really not acceptable packaging for an expensive car. It's just going to be a huge annoyance for the lifetime of the truck. This is based on a tundra so you'd expect it to have some configuration where you can throw cargo in. A few Toyota models do terrible things to trunk space in order to fit a battery.
I own this and have owned the old 5.7… let me tell you I would rather have this engine over the 5.7 alllllll daaayyy long. More power and better gas mileage. Fast as hell

We won’t know until 10 years later lol. But I have faith in toyota they do their research and development. The toyota supra is a twin turbo and you can’t kill that engine even if you double the horsepower and torque. Even the 2016-2017 Land Cruisers had many new 8 speed transmission replacements but after toyota figured it out you didn’t see hardly any replacements after 2018. All I know is 24,000 miles have not had any problems just like all the Toyota’s I own
As a suggestion, consider finding out and stating the wattage supplied by any usb-c in vehicles as it is very rapidly becoming important for those wanting to fast charge phones or more importantly laptops in the car, especially for trucks. Just a thought!

Yall haven’t bought it or are haters…….. the cargo space is plenty!!!!! And yes it flattens out!!!!! It actually has a shelf that lines up with third row folded making it plenty of CARGO SPACE!!! And even a lower compartment for egg bread soft stuff. Plus it holds up plenty I’ve stacked tons of weight cases of cokes and no bend. Like I said it does have plenty of cargo space it’s the videos that don’t do it justice other than that lord do we absolutely love it!!!! Traded Mazda cx-90 for it and payed cash no payments even better!!!
A lot of people in US use these absurdly huge trucks just to get to work and shopping malls. Unfortunately this bad trend got to Ukraine with relatively cheap restored after accidents US cars. I see private trucks in quite narrow parking lots here more and more often.
Love this car. Just wish it had independent suspension in rear as well to free up that mess of space and tiers in cargo area and give a little more comfort on ride with body on frame. Would make it the perfect bad ass SUV. Surprised for that pricing it doesn’t come with the adaptive dampening??

Suburban is still considered luxury. They got a nice air suspension ride. Bigger cars take more manufacturing to make. Just more material used outside and inside. 80k isn’t bad but depends on your income. If you aren’t wealthy then get a Nissan or a Mazda, Honda pilot. Something your budget

I don't understand why Toyota is putting part time 4WD into these vehicles instead of full time AWD. You basically cannot engage 4H until you are on a loose surface, because there is no central diff. That is a major drawback e.g. on a road with patches of snow/ice or other mixed conditions. I mean you are buying this for the benefit of AWD stability but you cannot use it most of the time…
Yah use 2wd on dry and wet payment but during winter its nice to have auto 4wd for mixed road conditions. Note auto 4wd is different that full time 4wd.
Auto 4wd is for people who dont know when to use 4wd. If I was driving in 2wd and thought i need 4wd... id turn 4wd on as needed. You can turn on 4wd on any surface, it has a transfer case, you dont a central differential. 4wd can be turned on with a click of a button most likely any speed under 25 (depends on brands) if your going too fast to turn 4wd on, you probably dont need 4wd on.
Auto 4wd is for people who know not to use part time 4wd in mixed driving conditions. its impossible to switch between 2wd and 4wd on mixed road conditions as needed. all other trucks offer auto 4wd in addition to part time 4wd. As big a miss as no recovery hooks..
Looks good, wish Toyota had kept the V8 and modified it with the transmission for better gas mileage. The V6 turbo is a deal breaker but even if it was the price is definitely a deal breaker. 100k is insane.
Toyota if you’re seeing this, I’d love to see some of the design features of the Sequoia, and the powertrain put into the 6th Gen 4Runner. Plus all black interiors including the headliner and HVAC vents in the pillars or headliner for passengers and dogs. Larger brakes and quicker brake engagement would be outstanding too.
We see a lot of SUVs and trucks in socal that have these "off-road" setups. There is a huge number of "posers" on the streets and freeways that look like they're doing volunteer search and rescue on weekends...and I believe it's a new form of hipster.
Jakub, there is wired CarPlay! You just have to plug the device into the usb port mounted directly on the dash near the passenger. It will have the typical usb logo above it. This is the only data port, hope this helps!

Just got this exact ride ZERO PAYMENTS dealership didn’t like that 😂…….. it’s a blessing and lord let me say if you have 2 kids or less she’s perfect in size and hybrid system is nonexistent!!!! Zero kick it’s just amazing roars like a boar 🐗 and hit 85-90 so quick you can’t even feel it , put my Silverado to shame

Side-steps are not _just_ for ingress/egress, they also serve to stand on when lashing things on the roof, they also serve as a better place to tap my boots clean, rather than the sill of the door. For a reviewer, or any new buyer, sure, the location of the step will feel variably awkward, but drive it for a week, and you'll figure out how to use them with ease, instead of awkwardness. Lots of other people for whom that step will be just fine/perfect for.

Glad I didn't wait for this redesign and went with an Armada, which keeps the simple V8, for $25k+ less. Not paying the Toyota tax.
The approach and departure angles are pretty sad for an off-road model along with no freaking tow hooks!

Great looking vehicle, the only thing I don't like about it is the side mirrors stick out a little bit too much.
my one complain is the infotainment is laggy... why can't car companies get this little thing right!
It does offer wired CarPlay. You just have to use the USB right under the screen rather than the ones inside the console compartment

I got impatient and bought Wagoneer Series III (used at great deal) and have been very happy with it. Today I got call from my dealer offering me a TRD Pro for early next year delivery. Should I accept and trade my Jeep or would I regret trading it?
