Both Jeannie and Adrienne are perfect examples of, “who you are with, matters.” Jeannie before didnt want kids, but had all the makings to be a GREAT mother. Adrienne in past episodes, literally said she didn’t like holding hands or displaying PDA. Its amazing to see that with the right partners, they are allowed to be their true selves. Its like seeing a beautiful exotic bird in its natural habitat. Just being its authentic self 🤍

Something that I notice that makes me think, ugh red flag, is when someone ALWAYS talks about their partner and they really put that partner on a pedestal. Don't get me wrong it's lovely to be in love but you should be equal and still have your own identity. Some people actually become quite draining to be around when they're in a relationship because that's literally all they talk about. I agree with Adrienne 100%, the greatest relationships are the ones where you become more yourself than you've ever been before. I'm learning that quite recently.

Loni is on point with the Megan Good bit. Absolutely accurate. It’s always and I mean always better to maintain your sense of self in any relationship you’re in...that goes for friendship, familial relationships and even work relationships. Never ever lose yourself trying to please others, chances are they’re not worth it, not worth your time and not worth your energy. It goes hand in hand with putting yourself and needs first, knowing what you want and speaking up for yourself every single time.

First of all with the Meagan thing when it comes to Christianity. If they are learning and growing in their relationship with God of course then you won't lose your identity. It will be more like becoming like Christ not one person losing their identity to the other person. The bible says "The two become one flesh!" They come together to grow in God individually, then together to be one with God. Not the world's way of doing things but God's way of doing things. I believe Meagan didn't understand that and was still too caught up in the world's way because there is no need to be sexy for God. That is for your husband alone. Who needs to dress provocatively in church! Then all the attention goes to you and not on God(the sermon)and you become a distraction. There is a time and place for everything!

You can be modest but still have a sexy “aura” to you if that makes any sense? But yeah it’s just not appropriate for Christian women to be dressing explicitly then saying “it’s my personality” etc. if your “personality” is against God’s word then it has to change. It’s not about “losing yourself” because our identity is in Christ really anyways lol.

I think having your own hobbies is very important. Having your own friends. Keep who you are before your relationship.
Been there done that. It’s called people pleasing. When you’re raised to believe that your opinions and likes and interests don’t matter this is a recipe for disaster as an adult. It took a lot of self work to get out of the habit. And now I have a partner who encourages me to have a life outside of him. I told him my struggles and he looks out for signs and tells me when he sees them so I can course correct. I also catch it through therapy. It’s a whole lot of work but it’s worth it. You gotta be happy with yourself at the end of the day.

I’m not going to lie but Adrienne in season 4 WHEN she met Israel was totally the girl who tried to fit into his world. I feel like especially these past 2 seasons is when she’s started getting her own identity back.
This only happens to people who are insecure. It’s exactly what Loni said. The other person molds into whatever their partner wants them to be because they are afraid to lose their partner’s love. It’s very toxic.

It definitely happens when you are insecure. When you don’t have your own hobbies beliefs and goals you will loose yourself very quickly. Being with your partner everyday is great but missing that person and reuniting is the best! Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
I have lost so many friends to men lol I had a best friend who literally told me she couldn't see me anymore because she doesn't want to take away time she could be spending with her man lol I was like bye felicia I've had a solid relationship with my husband for 12 years and although at the start we did live in each others pockets we eventually stopped and developed a healthy dynamic where we do things separately

I am sorry but unless you truly understand Christianity and God. True freedom comes from God not the world, people and their way of doing things. You grow and develope to learn it is about Christ not you! So if what you are doing makes it more about you than God then you don't understand! You have to decide did you come to Jesus for him or you. Who did you come to serve, God, yourself or the world(Man)! Because in God you and your husband become one flesh not anybody losing their identity!
But,Honestly you can’t expect Adrienne to speak on that. She did what a friend was suppose to do and her job. He’s a Pastor she knew that going in and there is a certain way you do have to present yourself as a Pastor wife. She obviously wanted to change there is a difference.
Looking back at my past relationships, I not only lost myself but literally turned into someone I did not recognize. I'm talking about 100+ lb weight gain to include health, mental and emotional issues when I dated the wrong ppl. As soon as I got rid of them that is when I began to thrive in ALL areas of my life. I lost the weight and now in the best shape of my life, I'm pursuing my passion of writing, and have excelled in my career. I used to want to stay in my house hidden from the world, but now I'm making travel plans (Japan, S. Korea, Italy, etc.) and shopping 🛍 all the time 😄
I learned that the person that is truly meant for you will not dim your light, but help it shine brighter as with Adrienne & Jeannie's situations. If you're questioning who you are in a relationship, then you should reevaluate that relationship.

So, if you're with someone that is not helping your psyche, then your health in some ways is bound to suffer. I had to get my mind right, did A LOT of research involving weight loss & nutrition and settled on vsg when I was 330+ lbs 😳 It's not for everyone hon, but it was what worked for me 😊

There is and will be no other show that balanced important topics, current events, but relevant and trendy discussion. The other similar shows on competing broadcasting appeal to a specific demographic of older, non- diverse groupings. If this show leaves,the younger, hipper, sophisticated demographic are lost and have no place to go. Those competing shows honestly do not give the uniqueness and diversity that The Real Daytime provides . I'm sure many agree with this post for various reasons and want to continue having a safe space in The Real ! Please think deeply on this one .... Blessings!

Always be yourself! If your partner or even your friends and family for that matter, have a problem with you and you’re not doing bad things or being a total ahole, then they can step off and let you be free to be yourself with people that appreciate and love you for who you are. My husband hates musicals, and we go watch one twice a year because he knows I love them and he endures it for me. I also go watch UFC with him, because he enjoys it so much and so I watch the fights with him also, even if it’s a little cringy. No one should have to change themselves for anyone!

I can relate…when I got divorced I felt like I was let out of a cage…free again.
Unfortunately, this is me. I was 20 and he was 31, and been together ever since. We got married and I’m now 33. I can admit that I changed myself, how I dress, going out with friends, where I should go, etc. He needs to know EVERY detail, going out with friends became a thing of the past, unless it’s a couple thing. I love him but it is exhausting, I gave ALL my 20s and if I can go back I would change all of it…any young girl reading this, don’t let a man trap you and change everything about you.There’s so much more out there besides being in a relationship in your teens and early 20s, love yourself first, wish I would’ve listened to many older women who saw the red flags day 1 !

From what I saw Megan stayed the same after marrying. Her husband seemed supportive and stood up for her when people tried to come for how she dressed or roles she took. Never got the feel she lost her identity. More like they grew apart and just were not on the same page anymore. Very amicable.

Man I hate to say it, but for some reason I’m not fully convinced Jeannie and Jeezy are right for each other. I’m not sure but I think Jeannie is changing a lot for him. I remember she said a while back that she wanted to give authority to her man or something like that. Also, her wanting a baby after all this time. Plus in the video, she seems quiet and I even noticed her cringe, after repeating the comment of not having a social life. I’m not sure if I’m the only one seeing this. My second husband and last before, I didn’t go out as much because I always been a homebody but with this marriage I go out more because my husband takes me out to eat I just went out with my girlfriend to Universal se on time,. This Christmas we are going to a somewhere in down in Florida. I never did this with my first marriage, I was lost. After, 5 years of separation from my kids father and first marriage I was my old self again and started dating I got skinner beautiful, my curves back, clip extensions. My second marriage I dress sexy, now I wear wigs not all of the time because I need to let my hair breath. I have good texture of hair not to sound superficial but I have hair that I can manage but it’s thick too. But, this weather in Florida gets hot so I have my hair short. Yes don’t loose yourself be your authentic self.
