Thanks for setting out the tools needed and saying the sizes. I just got these delivered today and didn't know what size drill bit I needed. One thing I would add is to just cover the holes with paint or some kind of coat to prevent rust from happening. Great Vid 👍

In some of my other videos I do talk about painting. I just failed to mention it in this video. I did paint the holes with a shot of clear coat though.

I’m a fan of the metal cloak fenders and sliders. They look a lot better then some other companies.

Curious why metalcloak went with body mount as opposed to frame mount. I’ve always been told to go frame mount for sliders, but these look so good. I’m debating between these and LOD destroyers.

I personally don’t see the benefit of frame mount over these. These are very well built and if you were to bend them I feel like it would be a situation where the Jeep is a total loss anyway. Same as frame mounts, probably very well built and damage would probably be a total loss as well. The benefit of not having to weld these and being able to unbolt and remove them later for painting or whatever else makes more sense to me.

As much as i want them, i can't help but wonder why they don't bolt directly to the frame.. they would be way more solide. It's my only concern about them

I don’t really think bolting to the frame would make them stronger at all. These are very well built, they bolt to the pinch seam and under the body. You have the added clearance of them not being all the way down on the frame and if you damage these so bad that it causes body damage your Jeep is probably totaled anyway.

@@itsadadlife thank you for the respomse sir! Might go get them, saw some smittybilt barelly used for half the price of these (used) metalcloak that were never installed. I like the look of the metalcloak more but at the end of the day, i prefer fonctinality over looks. Thanks you clearing that out for me! Really appreciate it
