I bought one and plan on keeping it stock for a while. It looks like a great truck for what I do with my friends when we go out on trails, rock climbing, and mud bogging.
It's a good truck. I'd recommend three things: Strip and grease all the gears. Put thread lock on all screws that go into metal parts. Get some decent tyres.
Just saw this rc on bangood. Crazy value for the money! When I was building a gspeed rig I was out 1-2k and thats without the 4ws and alumn axles. Nice body/shell too. Looks like the proline cliffhanger
Thank you RC Pie 👌🏼 awesome video doing much better with tire and spring change !! can you try lowering it a bit more by moving shock position for next video. Thank you for the shout out 🙏🤟
You're welcome. It certainly feels better. I'll have to try to find / scavenge some longer shocks, I think. I guess I can try just lowering it but it'd be a shame to lose the clearance. Even from a droop setting it must be better to have that extension.
Some 120mm internal spring shocks in a droop configuration would be a good upgrade. I typically cut about a ¼ to ⅓ off the softest spring and put it on the top and the longer piece around the shaft. You'd have to kinda dry fit everything to see whats gonna work best. I'm really liking this truck though. Nice video!
@@rcpie the extra length will be used up by the compressed spring. It will lower your CG. It keeps tension on the high side of the truck by not letting the shock unload to fast.
Thanks! Most of the videos so far have been shot on my phone. It's a OnePlus Nord2. There are some other bits that were shot on other things and some parts where I used a gimbal with the phone, but they're not as clear due to the software. I think the most important part is composition, though.
@@rcpie Love it, will destroy everything in its path so far, I live in Sweden so lots of rocks and trails here, will take my first video soon, find that the stock battery doesn't last long though
@TheJSR111 I got mine from AliExpress and I get a lot from different sellers there. I've only ever had an issue with one seller and it got resolved. Banggood are fine too. It'd be great if you could use my affiliate link in the video description, then I'll get a little bit of commission. Doesn't affect the price or anything for you, though.
@@rcpie yeah it's nice and sunny here. But I'll be at mom and dads helping them out. Might be able to drive outside there place later. But not sure yet. If I'll have time to
Good morning, I've just purchased a set of proline bf googrich. Mud terrain NT/A KM3 1.9 G8 Rock Tyres 120mm,, ? On the tyres there is a gold dot on the side wall , dose any body know which side the gold dot goes on the inside or the outside of the wheel.. because I don't want to put my tyres on the back to front, if you can please help me it will be much appreciated thanks
Hi Malcolm. As far as I can see, it doesn't matter which way round they go. The tread has rotational symmetry, so if you turn them around, they're exactly the same. Is the gold dot not to signify the rubber compound?
The truck is certainly more capable now, looks like a great place to drive. Might just have to get me one of these👍
It certainly feels better. I reckon it's got more potential, though.

It does seem good value and with a little bit more tuning, should be a really good rig. I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do.
The fine tuning definitely shows , this rig is capable ! Great Vid
Thanks.
I've changed things a bit since then. Videos to come.
Nice RC
So far so good but I think it's going to get better. Don't they always?

This RGT Tracer looks awesome, cool stock and upgraded video's of it.
Thanks. More footage and upgrades on the way.

So going for shocks that are 25-30% longer than the stock ones so that they can lose that amount into the reverse spring?
Sounds interesting.

Crawlers are certainly a cool topic! But we have practically no stones! I had to buy a trophy!
A Camel Trophy, I presume.
@@rcpie yes!
I would like to see how it behaves in mud, water and dirt roads. Good input, thanks.
You can see it in water and a bit of mud in my Lakeside video.
More coming soon, too.
Just found your channel and liked and subscribed, that's an awesome rig.
Thanks a lot! I hope you enjoy the videos
nice run mate.
Cheers. There's some extra footage from that day that I'll put up over the weekend.
Hi, I am new to rc crawling and was wondering what you are using to take your videos as they are so clear and brilliant quality?
Oh by the way I have a rgt 18100 trample
Thanks!

The Trample is an interesting chassis with it not being the usual ladder. How are you finding it?

Good tires
They seem pretty good.

Hello from southeast alaska how's it going today bro
Hi William. I'm well, thanks. But today is a rubbish, rainy day, so no driving. :(

Hi mate... Is that 1.9mm tire or 2.2mm...?
They're 1.9inch. 1.9mm would be very small indeed!
Thank you so much... I can't wait for them to deliver this machine... Its on the way...
This RC car is water proff, if yes, please try to run in lump or water, thanks
It's waterproof. There's some wet footage coming soon.
@@rcpie, thank you sir
