I've loved Resto since trying it, and as someone who mains ranged DPS, it's been a really fun spec. Master Shapeshifter letting me jump into Boomkin and go nutty is so satisfying. using good spreads of HoTS to hit mastery and save people you'd think need an instant heal is super gratifying. the positioning needed isn't super demanding, although changing forms constantly takes some getting used to. really love the spec and it really makes healing feel fun.
Going with Druid for season 3 due to the sheer versatility or roles I can give my friends… turns out it’s a lot of fun. Will be watching your progress Bowser regardless of spec you play
I feel like resto is very hard to love when you pick it up, but once you pull off some crazy heals with it, it starts to grow on you. I don't often like planning based specs, with resto being the exception for me
Been playing resto druid since MoP / WoD and I have loved it ever since then. I've seen the class change a lot and I have always loved the "weaving" style of it where you swap between forms to accomodate what you need. I find it really unique compared to any other class, personally, and it feels really rewarding to play when you play it correctly. Super excited for S3 with the grove guardians becoming more integral to our builds and it will be interesting to see flourish less impactful as it has been, but our baseline kit healing getting buffed is great. Always love being a resto druid and glad to see someone else discover a love for the spec.
Most likely going to pick resto druid for main-alt in S3. Played it on and off for years but it's looking particularly good this season. Think I still prefer preservation evoker, but have a hunch I'll get pigeon holed into augmentation... so I guess druid will be my main healer. Strange times, but I'm at peace with it - love my evoker either way :)
I run a macro that puts you into cat form and kicks in 1 button. And it's an 18y range. It's also mouseover, so I don't have to be targeting what needs kick. I don't know why nor people don't talk about it, but it works perfectly
The only semi-predictable thing to come out of convoke is that one in three casts will cast a flourish. So generally you'll ramp to known damage: rejuvs -> swiftmend -> wg -> convoke -> flourish if needed. If the damage is too high then use flourish on CD and pray on convoke.
Wow this makes me really want to play some resto. I've played it in the past, but struggled to grasp how to get my powerful heals ramped up. It'd be great to see you hit 3k next season. Would you ever consider adding skill icons to the vid when you first mention them? Or maybe something like "[skill icon] + [skill icon]" when you talk about combos? I don't know about others, but it definitely helps me to have a visual representation of the skills as someone who might be interested in picking up the class. I totally understand if it would be a lot of extra work or you don't want it distracting from the footage though. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with the class and I hope you really enjoy playing it more.
I am definitely a big druid enjoyer. Very satisfying to hit a big tranqulity ramp into a flourish and watch a whole raid start getting healthier. I remember in the start of dragonflight when resto shaman was not doing so hot, I dusted off my old drood from BFA and the first key I did with my buddy he told me "wow you're making me forget about how shitty priest defensives are"
Love this vid! I have been a resto main for several years now. I love weaving all my various HOTS to my group. I usually do not even come close to running out of mana because I watch what I am doing and plan my heals in advance. I have had several tanks tell me they can relax when I am healing because they know I have their back and watch myself. If I have bad players, though, I have to spam out my regrowths and OOM quickly. That is how I can tell a player has talented into just the damage spells, but has nothing to keep themselves alive, and I hate that, it is so unfair to me and the rest of the party to have someone bogarting all my heals. I need to learn to let them die more often! I am very curious, actually I am dreading, how blizzard is gonna screw with our mana next season. Wish I had a mana trinket! Thanks for this vid. RNG is never kind to me, nor are PUGS, I have had to fight very hard to get to the mid 430's, and it is the end of the season already. I would like to see how high you can push next season, because I know that you can keep it real. Others can be bragging or snobby about what they do, what they get, and their score. Only a few are super good and humble. Thank you for being the way that you are. :)
MW, Pres, RDrood - How am I supposed to pick a main for 10.2!? I like ‘em all! What’s your hot take/tip? I will mostly be doing m+ pugging 20-25 keys 🤐
strongly recommend u to keep nv and drop kitty talent for hibernate when needed, its your highest dps talent by miles. Even just with sun/moon fire dots and nv you should average 25k dps overall. binding flourish with nv is the key however things will be different in 10.2 as flourish is nerfed massively and cd timer doesnt line up with nv anymore.
I’m glad you had fun, but as for random on convoke you can steer it to bigger heals when keep your lesser hits up. Next season instacast wrath during incarn. Also using the wild growth mode often can also proc a regrowth that hits 4 members of your group as well.

What frames are you using to heal on the left? Are you using mouse over macros?
What is that floating heal text right below your character? That looks so satisfying and I want it for my resto!
If it’s the healing numbers it’s actually just scrolling combat text for self in the basic options!
