    This is the best beginners guide to a healing spec I have ever seen. A lot of the other videos just talk about talents and stats (something easily obtainable from other sources like wowhead) and don't actually discuss how to play the class at all. This guide assumes the watcher has not played a druid before and goes step by step exactly what you need to do. Thanks for uploading all the guides in this series :)

      I keep seeing pre-patch talent builds on wowhead that require covenants, I haven't played since bfa so I don't have any covenant progress, does that affect the talents in any way?

    Something to keep in mind with Wild Growth is your target doesn't have to be an ally. Targeting an enemy will apply the effect to 5 allies near that enemy. Very useful on boss fights.

    You, single handedly, made me want to give resto druid an honest shot again. All these other guides go into BIS, talents, complex rotations, and etc. But, they never break things down to a true beginner's level, despite the titles they use. I've been a tank main/DPS in my off time for years, and this ELI5 approach to healing has been very beneficial. A godsend, thank you!

    Gonna be real with you here, I don't press like on videos, not sure why just something I don't do unless it is a video I have REALLY enjoyed or has taught me something interesting, I've played balance and guardian druid before, Resto has always tickled my fancy but the amount of abilities I had to learn what order to use them in what they do how they interact etc, always blew my brain.. You sir have made the best, THE BEST, beginners guide to a class I've ever seen, most videos I've seen it's like they've forgotten what it was first like to play the class and say just press this this and this, now you're rank1 in the world. I cannot put into words how simple this guide makes the class seem, all I needed was a priority for spells, not 1 guide I have watched taught me that until I saw this suggested. Honestly, hats off to you, you deserve more subs and appreciation for the work in just this one video, you have definitely gained one more sub, and a HUGE thank you.

    Restoration Druid was a lot harder than the Holy Paladin and Priest that came before for me. I used to cast Regrowth before Restoration and generally only had Lifebloom on the Tank and myself, planting Efflorescence whenever I could. I might try your rotation next time (just came back from Brackenhide Hollow and frequently got overwhelmed by poison. That said, the Tank was a toxic rusher too).

    This is a great beginner's guide for someone who's completely new to druids, well done.
    This however, will only get you so far as there is a lot more nuance to the class. Especially when it comes to the dps spec where you suddenly start to mix in shapeshifting, depending on your build. That, will of course be for those who are actually interested in pushing keys and not just act like a heal bot. Since higher M+ keys will require the healer to pull their weight in dps, for which just having sunfire, moonfire and spamming wrath won't do much for. :)

      And that will come later, from both natural progression and potentially even guides like Icy Veins/WoWHead. But, this video is still invaluable, and actually teaches people the bare bone basics when they're just starting the character (level 1+). No need for extra information if it's a *beginner's* guide.

    • @Moarcookiezlive
      @Moarcookiezlive  2 года назад

      Now that all the spells are usable in human form you do NOT need to switch to moonkin form (unless you are pressing convoke and you want to do more dmg, moonkin form lets you get more damage spells out of convoke).
      Tree form on the other hand is an actual cooldown, not just a new form and so typically its good for raid bad for m+ in most cases.

    Should I heal in moonkin form and switch between healing and dps or should I just have a my human for heal and moonkin dps?

    • @Moarcookiezlive
      @Moarcookiezlive  Год назад +1

      Just keep moonfire and sufire active when you want to do dps. You can do that in human form.
      Once you are comfortable you can use some cat form abilities or use convoke the spirits in moonkin form for extra damage

      There used to be a permanent tree form but they changed it to just be your regular human form as the healer form. I think there might still be a glyph you can get to be a treant when in human form.

      Balance form spells are now usable in human form (Starsurge and Starfire) meaning you only "need" to swap into moonkin form when pressing convoke (if you want your convoke to primarily do dps rather than healing)

    Only have one aside;
    I'm sure you mention later directly in the talent section, but in the future may be worth at least mentioning the lifebloom and rejuv talents that allow double blooms and rejuvs when touching on the spells section.

      Yea plan to go over that In the official guide. The simpler this series can be while still being effective at understanding the class the better. Most talents aren't covered because I find it's easier to skip it now and see it later when taking a proper look at the talents.
      Thank you for the feedback, I will be sure to talk about this point in the 10.0 guide
