I loved that lion. Dreadlock was the one Mapogo that would go on the furthest patrols all by himself. He didn't care that his brothers were elsewhere, he had absolutely no fear and would take on anything. Unfortunately what killed him wasn't a 4 legged animal, but a 2 legged hominid called humans.
Absolutely right,,death of Dreadlock was a big reason of mopogos fallen 😔my favourite coalition..Dreadlock such a warrior, who never go backfoot in any condition..such a Beast. RIP my favourite Kings.. specially Raasta ,his disappearence still mysterious..

Different history mr t wouldn't died on 2012 . 5 mapogos would have killed selatis males atleast 2 of them . Mapogos sons would have been alive atleast few .
@@amirjafarzadeh2703 PB was badly injured earlier attacked 1 vs 4 by Selatis, Mak and Mr T saved him but not without injury to Mak in 2 vs 4 fight. Selatis came back later with full force young and hunger, Mak and PB had no option but had to flee left for MR T to stood his ground saving his 2 badly injured big bros. All hail MR T, the last King of Mapogos. He died with honour as the King

Wasn’t Dreadlocks considered to be basically second in command after Makhulu too? Maybe because he was the biggest? From what I understand, he was definitely a badass. His nicknames were The Beast and Buffalo Killer. Buffalo Killer because he was known to take down buffalos by himself. This video did a good job of showing how Pretty Boy got his name. He was a really good looking lion.
He was the clear number two. Rasta was also quite big and strong though.

Dreadlock was the second commander. He used go with mak on patrolling.
@@mahimapeter4226 I’m pretty sure they were the only two that actually went on patrols. I also believe Dreadlocks went on patrols by himself, just like Mak did too. I can’t imagine they ever would have been both been gone at the same time though.

Very big loss for the Mapogo brothers and very sad to know how he died! It is not for nothing that he was called the Tank, a real force, if he had not been killed, things would have been different ... he too had a piercing gaze, I think it of family ... The photo of the three is emblematic magnificent! Amazing dreadlocks❤️❤️🔥

It's shameful these guys were sentenced to die by rangers why would humans get involved 2 of them were allowed to be trophies for scumbags walls and the dart on T so that KT and T would die shameful shit 😕
We don't know what happened to Rasta, but it's more likely he was killed by the Majingilane since his twin vanished at the same time and returned with a bent spine weeks later.
As for Dreadlocks, he wasn't poached, but killed by the locals for eating their cattle. In fact, the rangers tried to dart him and bring him back to the reserve, but were threatened by the tribesmen who demanded the lion's head.
Confirmed by Willem Botha, the guy in charge of anti-poaching division in the Sabi Sands at the time.
@@reinsaxony4623 dreadlocks was found in a poachers cabin rasta disappeared his body was never found so he was poached if killed by lion they would have found a body...the Mapogo breakway was tracked and killed by locals after T was dead and PB and Mak abandoned pride

One ranger mentioned that they found the skull of a 200kgs lion around the time of Rasta's death and since his twin returned with serious injuriesjust days after they were looking for the Majingilane and roaring, it's way more likely the Majingilane killed him when he and PB separated from the others.

It makes me so sad when these beautiful animals are dead by the evil hands of the people who are apart of the same race as me cause all Dreadlocks was doing was keeping their land free from any other lions that wanted to try and take from them and I’m happy that he spent time with his big brothers before he left and I’m glad he didn’t suffer when he died cause he probably didn’t know what hit him! But I always wondered what his brothers were thinking and felt after he didn’t return after a certain amount of time cause they really couldn’t know cause it is so many things that could happen to anyone of them especially when they are alone! Pretty Boy almost died if it weren’t for Me T and Maluku coming and saving him just in time!
Makhulu, must be the most saddest for dreadlock. Dreadlock used to help mak, very much in his duties.
A King has his reign and then he dies. The Mapogos had a very long reign, they got old and younger, stronger lions took their place, just like they did. That’s survival of the fittest. I was sad to see them go. Nothing lives forever.

@@r1d166y there is no proof 2 of the Mapogos were killed by humans, they speculate they were, they don’t know what happened to them. If you think that eventually they weren’t going to get old and die because they could no longer compete you are delusional. That is real life. I’ve watched all the documentaries about the Mapogos, Mr. T was ruthless to his own coalition members, killing all the Cubs , except the ones he fathered. We live in a cruel world, are you as passionate about the death of children as you are about animals?
@@goldielocks2630 Accurate as time does catch all up, however the dynamics changed with majingilane and selatis before them in taking over the west, however this was just 2 years later, throw rasta and dreadlocks in there even just one of them...the selatis and majingilane would've veered off in a different direction, sub adults wud've survived , cubs too and mapogos would've carried on their reign..rangers knew this and intervened...

I’m sure he and Makulu felt bad not being around for Mr T cause the two of them went to a different part of their territory so that Pretty Boy could recover and they came back either the same night or the next day and I don’t know how they even found out he was gone so I’m assuming that pieces had to still around for them to realize that he died but I know that Mr T went out the way he would have wanted to! They all were awesome fighters but it seemed that they weren’t together when the time came to need them to be able to fight with each other like they did when they first got their own territory! Imagine if Kinky Tail and Mr t never left and they all stayed together they would have stayed an awesome force until the end of time but it wasn’t meant to be and in the end they all died alone! Except for big Makulu and Pretty Boy
