Just found you and subscribed, I like the way you explained it I just got my whole set up last fall and will be running it this year. I decided on a single aider that stays on each step we'll see how that works
Enjoyed your video. I run a similar setup/ sticks and aider. Also hate the fact my aider closes up at the attachment point (versa button). Recently, I modified my 3 step Amstel aider so that it attaches to the bottom step. Just as you mentioned in the video. I spliced a continuous loop at the top of the aider and inserted a piece of tube webbing for chafing. To attach the aider for climbing. I then loop the aider from the back of the bottom step up and over, so the running end of the aider is laying on top and in front of the step. The aider now doesn’t collapse and is easily removed by flipping the aider off the step via my boot. It made a big difference for me.
Hey Michael, thanks for the comment. Cool idea on how to keep the aider from “collapsing” on itself. Would you mind sharing pictures or a video of your set-up? It would be neat to see another approach. If interested DM our instagram account. We will link below. @Aplha2omegaoutdoors
If you could find a way to reattach your aides so the top two attachment points are the same width apart as your aides steps it might not narrow as much.
It works for us, but with that said everything has risks and safety is #1 in our book so be safe out there. We test everything we do with multiple contingeny plans in place in case of equipment failure. Thanks for the comment and for watching! be safe out there.
Great quality video - content and editing were both well done. Not sure how you don't have more subs, but you have one more now

We mite have to give that a try! Thanks for watching.
I have hawk helium sticks, thanks for the info about dixeland bowhunter.
No problem!
Hawk actually makes a platform that goes on the stick but it's not as good I would think but probably a lot cheaper
Yes they do, We actually have one in use right now.
is hanging the aider off the versa button safe?
