Zbrush also has multiple ways to do it through the different tools, but its a bit obscure to figure out. ZClassroom has a lot of tutorials explaining the capabilities of the software, it is also free for everyone to watch. The only problem is that although it is incredibly condensed, there are hundreds of 5-30 min videos explaining different things, so sometimes finding what you are looking for is hard.
Always love the prop sections as well, like obviously the sculpts are always a joy to watch but there’s something very fun about the prop sections in these videos and it just makes me smile
Nice; this is closer to exactly what I want to do with my modeling. Now to see how well I can apply it to Blender.. maybe I should look into one of those plugins that imitates the main features of Z Brush..
Hey Follygon, lovely video as always! May I ask for you to do some simple Zbrush UI tutorials such as how to duplicate objects and switch from one to another? I am a Blender artist who recently switched over to Zbrush and although my artistic skills are good for now (forever growing) I still have a hard time with simple things. Thank you for everything that you do, sincerely a long time fan :D
Would be great if you left the reference image on screen while sculpting. Either way I loved the video! I Definitely want to learn how to do character modeling in the future. Right now I'm focusing on hard surface modeling with blender.
I love how you are doing this! If you don’t mind, I am copying the same art style you are doing so I can draw my character better because I do not know how to draw human characters properly so thx☺️
Thanks Teacher, by your quick and informative tutorials ... I got confidence and made SpongeBob SquarePants... And shaggy from Scooby Doo... Stay Blessed 😇
The approach you used to blend the braid into the rest of the hair was clever! I'll have to keep an eye out for places I can try using it in my next few projects
Excited to see the process! I got your head sculpts a bit ago and im adjusting to using them but it helps extensively the more i see them used. I'm a visual learning big time 😅
Yes, they are step by step real time tutorials on the subjects listed in my Patreon about section. The newest tutorial, coming out this month is on hard surface robot creation and design.
Hi follyygon I have question is that the way you sculpt, turning the 2d character in to 3d character, do you get profit, I am trying my level best to earn some how. Please do tell us how do you earn your living as a 3d artist I have been using blender for about 3 years, I do modeling not sculpting because my computer cant handle sculpting, it lag that is why.
I’m thinking about learning using zbrush. I’m getting the software, but there are two versions zbrush and zbrush core. Which one should I get? I have some poly modeling experience with Maya.
Nice modeling! Only two suggestions, if you don't mind, the hand that supports the head would have pushed the girl's cheek a little and the other arm should be resting on the book so that the position feels more natural. Greetings and keep up the good work.
Love ittttt! The only thing that seems off for me is the lips and the eyes. Idk, but something about them seems wayyy off. But other than that, I’d say it’s 9/10!!!
Follygon: hey there skippers! Me, being brutally called out the second i take my hand off the scroll button: O-o (normally i would watch the whole thing i just gotta go in a minute XD)
I would love to see some of the reactions from the 2d artists when they see your 3d version of their work.
223 likes and no replies? lemme fix that.
@@vaxique thanks buddy 😊

I just love watching your 2D to 3D sculpting episodes haha even though i've been sculpting for years. LOVE THE VIBE !
For those having difficulty with braids, apparently blender has a node for that kind of thing now.

This gave me a whole new perspective on the hair from what i been trying t do. thx...
Dude this is the best 3D lesson I've seen so far! Keep up the AMAZING work. Never stop creating.

I thought 2D was complicated but this is a whole new level. It's kind of exciting knowing there's an entire area of art I have no experience in.
Here is 2 AM, 8 mins count down premiere and I'm waiting 😄
to see your fantastic process
...Damn that ending was smooth. Alright. Alright, I'll watch it too.
I would love to see more of this. It looks so beutiful in 3d
ngl, that was mad crazy that you caught me skipping to the end. You got me good fr!

It would be great to see some of these works 3D printed.

Your video was very helpful, I'm still learning and getting the hang of it still. I'm into House and EDM. I look forward to seeing more of your

I didn't know 3D art could be so beautiful when it wasn't made in like.... million buck studios. I feel enlightened.

There’s nothing wrong with not having freckles u look Beautiful just the way you are😊
no shot that’s your real voice i love it it’s so cute and nerd haha ❤
How did you seamlessly merge the two shapes forming the head? One second it was rough and the next they were blended.
Thanks Teacher, by your quick and informative tutorials ... I got confidence and made SpongeBob SquarePants... And shaggy from Scooby Doo... Stay Blessed 😇
Thank you Chris. I really appreciate it and that was exactly what I was trying to do. No fuss and helping people get on with what they need
can't wait for this! Love your sculpting vids
That hair! Yoooooo, dope as always fam

Gorgeous and you make it look easy but woh boy is Zbrush's interface complex. I'm gonna have to take a course to learn the basics alone.
of stuff and am trying to learn it so I can make soft as quick as possible. I will buy it. If you’ve made money using soft soft and you

This is incredible!!
This guy honestly deserves more subs 🤍👀
If I sign up for the patreon - is there a difference between videos there vs videos posted on youtube? Like are patreon videos more in depth?
Yes, they are step by step real time tutorials on the subjects listed in my Patreon about section. The newest tutorial, coming out this month is on hard surface robot creation and design.
When I saw the title of the video I thought of a character from a show I watch, but good job!
beautiful!!!!
Nice job Ben :)
So am watching this video even though I have zero knowledge on sculpting ❤😂

Pixar is calling, one of their artists escape
*Congratulation 😎👍.*
That Blender sure learned his lesson
Awesome......
Can you do a nezuko one
what program do you use to make these models? and do you design by software, PC or digital table? which one?
He uses ZBrush and uses a drawing tablet to sculpt the models :)
I’m thinking about learning using zbrush. I’m getting the software, but there are two versions zbrush and zbrush core. Which one should I get? I have some poly modeling experience with Maya.

sculptOBER?!! I thought it was SculptJanuary with this month being Blocktober?! Either way...good for all!
How the hell you know i skip straight to the render?!😱
a thing that will make a 3d character ugly is when they finish the body and face but then they don't sculpt the eyes or mouty they just draw it on
the braiding process did NOT look like fun lmao
