Hi Alex. I know its an older thread but this is showing just how overlooked revo has become. Most people are moving towards venom or littco etc but revo have been around for years and have become overlooked. But that's not to say you can underestimate them. I did this myself only to turn to them and find their years of evolving and research in my engine field was phenomenal. Alex kerr deffinately had something to do with it too 💪
That’s a beautiful car. I wanted a used sq5, but the seller wanted 20% more than it was worth so I declined. I was lucky enough to get a brand new gti autobahn and I plan on getting the same exact turbo! I’ll be happy with 500bhp! (If I could get the golf r, I would have that instead, but that thing is a serious unicorn where I live)
Love this car and performance upgrade, looks great. I know this is a performance video but interested on the steering wheel whether you had alcantara put on the wheel or whether that is an RS3 wheel? Want something similar myself
So in my search for Stage 3, I've narrowed down to APR or Revo. I just learned APR's 536BHP claim is with 100 octane fuel which isn't practical here in the states. Can I ask what octane fuel you were using to get 512BHP from your setup?
Hi, my car uses Shell VPower 99ron. You can run lower octane on a lower performance mode via the SPS switch, but obviously you will see slightly lower performance figures. Hope that helps :)
The maths is not correct ! So assuming you lost 12% of BHP. This means u are putting down 88% of BHP to the ground. 88% x BHP= 458 WHP BHP= 458 /88% = 520WHP
Are the internals on the s3 and a3 the same? It's really had to find info on these cars. Im coming from the subaru community where you can find out everything about the car on RUclips. You can literally find aftermarket parts for every piece of the car.
Yeah apparently the engines aren’t the same aside from the block. S3/MK7 R EA888 engine has the following changes and upgrades: Cylinder head (made from a different alloy compared to other engines in this module because of higher thermal stress) Exhaust valves (hollow, higher Ni content, nitrided) Exhaust valve seat rings (improved temperature stability and wear resistance) Exhaust camshaft (adapted valve timings) Compression ratio 9.3:1 with different pistons Piston cooling jets (higher flow rate) High pressure injectors (even higher flow rate) Exhaust turbocharger Charge pressures of up to 17.4 PSI (1.2 bar) High performance main radiator with 1-2 auxiliary radiators (depending on country specifications) Additional acoustic modifications have been made in order to achieve a sporty sound - use of a sound actuator (for the occupant cell) and active exhaust flaps in the exhaust system
@@tomforde6558 pushing 550whp and over 440 wtq is the limits for the stock motor. If you ran that consistently it wouldn’t last long. 500whp and 420wtq is the sweet spot
What we saying about the numbers? 🥳
Powerful numbers Alex! Keep smashing it boss 🙏🏽
@@TimWilliamsHD yea really pleased with the numbers. It’s a mega car 🔥
12% loss on 458wbhp is actually 458 / 0,88 = 520bhp :D
90% tuning content I see is always Audi and that makes me super happy 😁
👍

Dude! 😱 Thing is a BEAST! What a car, such good looks too. F’ing impressive bro.
Thanks man, appreciate 🙌🔥
I swear to god Audi fucking nailed it with the design of this car looks beautiful, i have the 2017 S3 saloon but in white 👍🏻
I've got a 2016 in silver, and I still smile every time I see it.
Just bought an s3 in black 2020 looking forward to stage3 revo as well lovew the videos man very informative
Great vid and fantastic numbers , hope to see more soon
Cheers John 🙌👍

I love your front grill could you tell me where it is from please?
Most likely Ultimate Customs
beautiful S3 brother, just picked up a 2016 a few months ago im only aiming for the high 300's 380hp mark
Thanks man, hope you enjoy the car - stage 1 ECU software will get you around that sort of power 👌💪
Great content. I have reserved revo stage1 for monday for my 2017 s3sedan. 😊😂
Thank you 🙌 the software is superb - you will notice a big difference 👌
@@AlexBones yeah, can’t wait.

Can I can get your 1.Grille 2.Wheels? I’m thinking of Revo Stage 1 with your grille, wheels and APR exhaust for my 2017 S3.
hello! Did you replace the suspension bushings with more rigid powerflex ones?

Or run a e40 blend
Hi there, quick question, what’s the highest RPM for gear change does tvs TCU tune ? Revo’s tcu allows 7100RPM, how about tvs? Cheers mate
Is the engine stock internals? I hear the s3 and the a3 have different versions of the ea888 gen 3, like the s3 has better pistons etc.
Hi, yes unopened stock EA888 👍
The maths is not correct !
So assuming you lost 12% of BHP. This means u are putting down 88% of BHP to the ground.
88% x BHP= 458 WHP
BHP= 458 /88% = 520WHP
And 498bhp on low boost!
If u reverse compute 512.98x88%= 451.4 which is not what the dyno displayed...
This is correct
Cheers Chris :)
Was looking for this comment 👍
I have an Audi A3 I rebuild my engine. would it work if I go stage 3 with this turbo instead of is38 stock??
wow !?! so many questions what year is the car and did you upgrad the fueling??
Hi, check out my latest upload on the full spec - should help to answer all of your questions. Thanks 👍

No S3 internals aren’t the same as A3. Joint the s3 Facebook group lots of info there
@@ralphmag3072 Are you sure? After doing some research they share all the same part numbers for things like connecting rods and bearings.

Very nice rig mate. My S3 is currently at 360bhp and its leathal. I can only imagine what 520 feels like. What are you 0-60mph and 60' times like?
Thanks Josh :)
His should be in 2’s. My buddy is big turbo in his S3 and he does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and 10.7 1/4 mile
@@killer_vette351 Thanks mate. My stock turbo, stage 1 tuned is @ 3.7 seconds.
@@joshbrennan8545 you should be 3.4-3.6 on stage 2
@@killer_vette351 Downpipe is in the mail. :). No intercooler yet though. I'll probably run the stage 2 file after downpipe is installed though.
Where did you get your lip kit and grill?
What tire sizes are you using?
Built motor internals like rods, pistons, etc, in the plans?
No mate, no plans for that. Don’t intend taking the power beyond where it is now 👍
@@AlexBones how much boost would you say calls for upgrading the engine internals?
@@tomforde6558 it’s not something I’ve experimented with, sorry.

It runs 1.9 bar, cheers.

18x9 et40 👍
Stock APS? Stock injectors?
What DSG map are you running along side the stage 3? TVS?
Yes, Stage 3 TVS Race file
Why did u not use revo dsg map?
dynojet figures... say no more. will be a fun car on the road where it matters tho
Alex, what splitter are you running?
Maxton
Why not E85?
The Revo tuning is designed for 95/97/99Ron fuel. So I use Shell Power 99Ron.
bet that he can beat a porsche 911
Hahaha internal loses of power as s percentage 12%? So your loses keep on increasing as power increase.... Right!
Go to a proper tuner im sure theese dudes use ots maps
The car was at MSL for a dyno run only, not any tuning.
