The radio is filtered for VHF and UHF so out of band transmit will be an issue. Its a crappy radio but cheap and cheerful and great for experimentation. Receive on 1296 mhz is poor but hears 220 mhz ok. I can hear CBers on channel 6 but nada on 19. It suffers huge intermod from the Fleetnet towers. Hey for the $10 special it's a fantastic radio.
