Thank you for the feedback. The mic in front of my setup is for the mc. When he does intro he uses the wireless mic, but when party starts, he goes in front he motivate the crowd. And it's the best thing. We get lots of compliments and photos with that mic. It's unbelievable. Some brides see it and asks us for it.
And yes I'm from Long Island NY.
My biggest peeve with some of these setups is when you have all this room, but DJ’s still put their speakers right next to them. Some can even just put both their hands up and grab them, they’re so close. This makes it real loud at the dj booth so guests have to yell to be heard, and bad for your hearing. It’ll sound so much better if the speakers are spread out further, and reduces chance of feedback.
Correct, plus ear fatigue will kick in and the DJ will start bringing the volume up too much after a few hours.
Thank you for reviewing my Setup. The Effekt, you don‘t know what it is, is a Martin Rush Wizard. It‘s a very powerful an bright Effekt. The speakers are from the German Manufacture Voice Acoustic. They built High-End PA Speakers in a High Price Range.

I hate when an Aunt doesn't like having a DJ at a wedding, and put's flowers infront of the DJ to "HIDE" the DJ setup. LOL!
I love watching these. I just do parties for friends and family for fun as a hobbyist but I love getting ideas how to make it look better

Never Gaff cables!!!
Use electrians tape to tape cables to something.
Use matts and tape those to the ground if you want to protect cables on the cheap.
Gaff leaves disgusting residue and will fuck your day up.

that last robot looking light was an ADJ warlock or smth like it, those things make cool roller effects
@17:56 I agree the scanners don't really work in the current setup, but I wouldn't get rid of them. I think there's a time and a place for them. I use scanners a lot; they work really well if you're doing fast moving aerial effects, which moving head's can't really do.
Hi Bayardo, indeed the setup was kinda old-school, the scanners have been replaced by chauvet intimidator trio heads and 2 adj vortex heads
Is there a way to make your cursor stand out more in these types of videos?
The white scrims set up that cover the speakers needs the Marshmallow Face painted on them,lol
good pointers that were definitely helpful, however what i enjoyed most was seeing what equipment DJ's were using..🧐 Funny (to me..) how you didn't even mention any of the equipment until you saw your beloved JBiasL's 🤣
at 4:40, the background looks like one of those gold rush themed bars in AZ / NM / NV
at 9:01, the tent set up seems stupid, if it rains, the water will go straight to the audio equipment right in between the tents ;-)
I heard jbl don’t like their i prefer tannoy ,Yamaha ,RCF , void sound lot better most these I have used except RCF

I hear a lot on gaff tape on these reviews, however some venues don’t allow ANY adhesive especially if there is a wood floor with polish
The robot is a martin wizard... as a scaner but with a roller mirror intead of a flat mirror. Creates a linear disco ball EFX...

Thanks for the review! That is the ProX Mesa Media. I had a bunch of visuals, just paused it on that for the pic. As far as the DMX cables, I just switched to Donner, I kept it wound up there just in case but it is time to clean it up! Good stuff Barr! 👍🏼
Geoffrey dotson . Hey Barr I did build the custom speaker stands for rustic country weddings as I'm in Nashville, tn. The lights were not t bars but chauvet gig bar moves. I would live to be able to send you video so you could see live as well as pictures as I was building and test run.
That tent dude could’ve got rekt under some rain. It would’ve poured right in the middle.

you'll spend thousands on gear, but won't drop $100 on a pop up, or more if you want your name on it. I spent $99 at Home depot, gray, one person can put up/take down (really) and it matches my van for car cruises or just an overall matching look
You didn't mention speaker placement too much...farther apart, higher you covered, and beside or in front of the DJ so you dont go deaf!
And velcro on the pole or truss will hold wires very well.

Your insistence for using gaff tape is very annoying. Personally I hate that stuff. It ends up everywhere and to see it on the floor? NO SIR! If I had someone tape shit to my floor I’d have a fit. Looks like crap and it’s absolutely not needed.
There are way better solutions and I would have thought you’d know better.
