40 plus years later this song still sounds fresh. That's what you call timeless composition.

Stumbled across this while browsing the radio this morning. What a lovely tune! Made the same year I was born.
I always think of this song as the opening music for the Lee Phillips Show on WBBM tv in Chicago in the 1970's

I was just listening to George Benson, playing "Mimosa" on Jimmy Smith's "Off The Top" CD... and was reminded of this beautiful track. I had forgotten about that intro, and as soon as it started I was transported back to being about 14 years old... Good music is SO powerful!!

0:02 - 0:19 The beginning of this soundtrack was used on the now extinct Rede Tupi de Televisão here in Brazil, in the late 70s ruclips.net/video/8O0Z_AKRrrg/видео.htmlsi=h3qLp9IcFXOS885F
Unfortunately, Rede Tupi was extinguished on 07/16/1980 due to the revocation of the channel's 7 concessions, by order of the then President of the Republic, João Baptista de Figueiredo, who was the last to govern the military regime that lasted 21 years (1964 -1985).
This was the end song for Horse Racing shown on TV here in NYC in the 70's early 80's
Hell yeah
