This is what separates you from the other dealerships. You actually care about your customers and are willing to fix the things that are wrong with the cars before selling it to them. Appreciate you and had a great time visiting your dealership during the grand opening. By the way, I did have an opportunity to sit in this car, and it is beautiful.
I appreciate all the cool content. You guys actually fix these cars, and get them to an optimal shape, so what you resell it, you’re NOT screwing your customers. You guys have respect !!👍✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Dan, seeing you guys working in the shop, the place looks absolutely fantastic. A suggestion about the TV - make sure all of your electronics at work and at home are plugged into surge protectors. You don’t have to go crazy, decent isobar or apc units will protect the electronics from surges which occur when lightning strikes nesrby. I started doing this in 1991 and haven’t had a problem with failures like that since I did it.
Exactly! I’m so happy that Dan had that 430 early on and took the time to do lots of DIY projects on it. I’ve got the spider and it’s helped me big time.
you could try what I am doing : is modifying a stand-up truck creeper. kind of like a cot you can walk up to then it folds down 90 deg we are cutting it down -it is too tall- making it a little height adjustable so you can lie down on your stomach and reach down to work on the car engine ! ( from ABOVE ! ) it's pretty comfortable! cantilevered over the fenders, engine ! ! would be nice IF it was motorized to move left. right forward / back like wheel chair w/a joystick! my back cannot handle hours bent over ! it IS easier to work on F430 if you are tall!

What’s with the gold heat shielding (assuming that’s what it is) on the underside of the engine compartment lid? I’ve never seen that before on the spiders… is that normal?
ceramic coating fr Swain tech , NY ( the entire exhaust ,would block 50% ! of heat ) and the correct high heat 2,000 deg F wrap would do far more good! than the gold film it has very little insulative value just reflects bit of heat even the blankets have huge gaps and let heaps of heat escape @@normalguysupercar

You keep saying valve cover gasket, I think you really mean CAM cover gasket. ;) Hope to see you guys again soon. Love that 430 btw, and the red Cali! My wife loved the blue 430 at the grand opening!

Super impressed you could do the gaskets yourself. My old F430 Spider was leaking when I had it and never would have attempted this myself.
It's a pain in the butt

I think this was certainly a manufacturing defect. But yes I'll need to get a surge protector
they have whole house surge protectors @@normalguysupercar
Hello Dan, wow, so much perseverance! You do a fantastic job. This is not easy work! Well done!
Thanks 👍
I really like it when you can see the engine through the deck glass but am conflicted with the the C8 knowing I’m looking at a engine cover.
Yeah
they sell a glass cover aftermarket ! for C-8 !
Thank you for all the great F430 mechanical content!!

Great work !!! I still get disoriented by all those hose lines...
Lol yeah. The good news is we weren't disconnecting them, just moving out of the way.
so you did not lose fluid , have to bleed etc ! @@normalguysupercar
Damn, that's a lot of work. I'm OLD so I remember cars where you could change those gaskets in less than an hour.
Lol yup. Not so much here
That's why I stick to older cars as much I can. Ridiculous how crammed engine bays are these days and how much tech they're packing in them.

Just looking at that job makes my back hurt.
Mine is still feeling it ..
Same!
Curious why would you not replace the gasket?
I did.
Damn ur getting good! F430 expert now

Great job… question??? Why not replace the gasket ?
I did
It seems like he reused the old gaskets, but actually cleaned the replacement gaskets prior to installation
@@emmeto17 correct. I can see that I wasn't clear in the video. But you should never reuse those gaskets.

Does that engine use solid lifters? It would have been a good time to adjust the valves. Otherwise outstanding work?
No lifter adjustments on the 430 needed.
