My phone hit 52°C watching a Twitch stream when I left it under a pillow for an hour or 2. Tbf the ambient was already pretty high as it was a pretty hot night at around 20-25°C ambient.
Love the new cold battery test, but a video test I would love to see more than anything is how long a smartphone can last for under 1m of water (or phones IP rating). Then push past the IP ratings to see the max submersion at that depth and would also be cool to see how long they last at deeper depth. I understand it will ruin a lot of phones and will be expensive. But there’s only a few water test on RUclips with barely any extensive tests… we can normally trust the IP ratings, but seeing how much they can push past that would be really interesting imo and I think a lot of people would love to see extreme IP water tests too. Please consider doing some kind of smartphone water test, thanks 💚
I'm still running my huwawi p40 pro. Battery still lasts a day under heavy use. I'm glad we can still buy a huwawi (honor) phone with play store. Great phones but maybe a little more fragile then other phones. Maybe it's the curved glass. Looking forward to global release on the 25th. Will buy honor magic 6 pro

Are silicon-carbon batteries safer than lithium-ion batteries? At least they sound like so because of the materials. I hope they become the new industry standard. Because they even work in cold weather and I live in Finland and most of the year is cold and my "normal" phones loose charge really quick in the cold and I usually need to just leave it home when going outside.
Is there a phone, available in the US, that can do this? I'm leaning toward Oneplus 12 because of the price and the battery is basically guaranteed for 4+ years

Useless test, you didn't compare it to anything. Just put iPhone next to it in the fridge and then perform exact test at room temperature with both phones. And then compare which is more affected by cold. Otherwise it's just an AD video

nope, the advantage of silicone carbon is that it can store more power than carbon on a given space. Apart from that, its the same tech.
