I'm from Ukraine! They are allright
A few months after the Eurovision Song Contest they gave a concert, my friends and I went to the concert and waited for them for 5 hours! They were in a hotel nearby, and when they deigned to come to the concert stage, half of the audience had already left, because everyone was very tired of waiting and there were many people with children who were also tired and crying, and we also left. From my acquaintances who stayed there I learned that they did not even apologize. And a few hours before this concert they were asked to sing a song for children at a charity event and they refused because they wanted to be paid. After this case I stopped listening and respecting this band, but I agree that their performance at Eurovision was worthy of winning. That was the end of their merits for me.

Go_A are AMAZING and SHUM deserved to win last year IMO. It was lovely to see Kateryna from Go_A presenting the points from her country. She looked absolutely regal, like the queen of Ukraine.

They certainly got a lot of points because of the sympathy and the situation in their country, but the truth is that the song could have won without it, it sounds great. The more songs in the native languages of the performers, the better.

For me It's always a big plus when countries perform in their native languages. Brings so much more of a feeling of different countries and cultures coming together to contribute towards an enjoyable togetherness and camaraderie between people of different nations. (plus tbh it's often better when you don't actually know what the lyrics mean as you can enjoy the emotion of the song and make an assumption about the meaning of the lyrics).

Ok I get that some people don‘t like this song or the fact that they won but there is one thing you can‘t deny: they sound fantastic live. They sing just like in the studio version.
The live version is better than the studio version IMO. It somehow expresses more emotion

The chorus gives me shivers every time. Yes the current situation may have influenced the voting but this song is indeed one of the best songs of Eurovision this year. I appreciate very much the artists who sing in their native language.

I think the song it's cool but if they were representing another country I'm not sure they would have won... 439 points from the popular votes of 480 that are the maximum I think it's too much and unrealistic...
