  • What is the difference between the masses and an enlightened sage? The fundamental difference is based on an incorrect orientation of one's relationship to the ultimate reality, Brahman. In this episode of The Sacred Word, I will explain an important verse from the Ashtavakra Gita, a text one is ready to assimilate after enlightenment. The Ashtavakra Gita is for those to absorb oneself in the presence of the Ultimate Reality after awakening.

For me it comes to this, and it's a Zen Kōan :
“Before enlightenment; chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.”
It all goes on forever, only your awareness of it changes and broadens with Time. G/L to any and all reading this.

At the moment of Enlightenment, mountains are no longer mountains,

The desire is saying the same as saying that you are lacking something, When we already have everything. It comes down to the realization that you are right where you need to be in time and space. You already have all you need, all the food, all the clothing, all the wealth. Put desire for anything away and you will fine free to open your heart to truly love others with out desires getting in the way.

How can awareness be separate from the sense of I Am? They are one and the same: Brahman is the only stable [permanent] reality, all this physical (Jiva included) is fleeting, transitory, and temporary. Not to be grasped or clinged to.
Abide in the stillness and all else will melt away 🧘‍♂️

The moment we realise there is an absence of desire we notice it is devoid of movement. This is the realisation of the zero point...which gives rise to the desire for movement and the birth of a new reality that does contain desire and therefore movement...so we make a conscious decision to sacrifice perfect stillness and contentment in favour of a purposeful fall from grace to embark upon on another journey back home.

There are no limited ways. It can begin with desire, but what began desire? A scene?, a realization while in toilet?, psychedelics?, a loss of loved one?. However, since we are Brham ataman, then it should be obvious that sooner or later we will come back to xp ourself. We return to our true nature after or during this party/maya anyway. Time, place or youtoob doesn't matter after it.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT BEING A HINDU?
    By Francois Gautier.
*Diversity in Divinity and Unity in Spirituality.*
    1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted
    2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik
    3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak.
    4) You dont want to worship idols - no problem. You can focus on Nirguna Brahman.
    5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc. are core Hindu schools.
    6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it.
    7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure !
    8) You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead.
    9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest.
    10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition . ( bhakti- devotion)
    11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi.
    12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy.
    13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic !
    14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship).
    15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy
    16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan.
    17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !
    18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped.
    19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism!
"Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family)
    20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival.
Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year.
    21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu.
    22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved.
    23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu!
    24) You know that Hinduism is a way of life, with considerable freedom.
    25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe!
    26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint.
    27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily)
You represent this! You're free to choose, my dear Hindu!
This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!!
There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell -" Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah"- Let the knowledge come to us from every directions

Can anyone help me with a meditation issue I'm having? When I go REALLY deep in meditation, I reach a point or void, if you will, where I don't exist, and it seems like I have no awareness (as in SUPER relaxed/unfocused because I forget to breathe in this state). It's very much like deep sleep or a similar state where you end up in this vague, not-existent state where I lose all self-awareness. What can I do to maintain awareness into this super deep state? Once I realize this state of deep nothingness, I lose all focus/awareness because I'm so relaxed. When I realize I'm in it, I then jolt out of it for a brief moment. After I jolt out of it, I "look back" at the experience automatically, but in a "What the heck just happened?" kinda way. Is this state normal to reach and is it something that should be *aimed* for? I use aimed loosely because I know meditations goal is to have no goals and realize what you already are. This state feels very much like a plateau or detour but I could be wrong.

Very interesting talk, are you talking about Neo -Advaita , simply recognising the non existence of the jiva ? sounds similar, Is Neo Advaita possible for Enlightenment without teaching ?
I do realise the ego can assume Enlightenment, how do we tell if that has happened or the genuine thing?
I have been practicing TM . Transcendental Meditation, since 1978 and easily get to an "Awareness only state" I am not sure if this is the egoless no jiva state, it is very enjoyable and it appears to have no time, 20 mins feels like 2-5 mins, sometimes nothing, there are instances of much longer meditations with no sense of time too, again there's no teaching with TM just the technique ,Is this no Jiva Awakening ? my mind is very quiet most of the time afterwards.

Most of what you are posting is at the point where transmission of that which is awake to itself needs to take place from Self to Self and here to here. it's like lecturing on avocados to those that have never tasted one . there is a point where one has enough to information and now needs the direct experience of what has been described .
To continue to amass knowledge will only result in being ' over schooled ' and possibly lead to a mental co opting of pure wakefulness .

@@gauravtr7766 yes probably, lots of ways in how to understand your comment, but might also be that you did not get my point.. i was pointing out at the book of revelations from the new testament, it makes some people think that they can do anything evil and stil go to heaven because they believe that Jesus died for their sins...

A very false perspective in that the brahma/soul is dormant in almost all humans and angels for that matter. The brahma/soul is formless and yes it's already there but we are unaware of it. Soul/brahma realization is Gid/OM realization as our soul/brahma exists in a unified (Yoga-union with God/OM). The way for humans to reach this formless realization via our soul/brahma is shown on the Buddhist statues with the cloud like or sort of flame looking things upon their heads. It symbolizes the awarened soul/brahma which is how Yoga - Union with God is experienced...not via the human form (intellect/mind being part of the human form. Words too are part of the human form and the real experience of Yoga (union with God) is indescribable and far past words/intellect/mind yet we use words to acknowledge that it's there. One who practices the headstand 3 hours a day is the ancient teaching for a human being to reach this state of conciousness upon the opening of the 7th (crown) chakra. Angels use meditation as the teaching to reach thecsame state of consciousness. Our celestial bodies are very different than our physical bodies so the techniques are different accordingly. Meditation is a practice we use in the here now and in the here after. It's literally "on earth as it is in heaven " It's really what Christ was teaching when He said "pick up your cross daily and follow me" using the cross as a headstand prop as Moses tried to teach the Israelites with the ANKH (cross with a loop on top) before he ascended Mt Sinai. Buddhist documentaries on RUclips show the Buddha using a sideways tree branch vs a cross. The sky Yoga cloth is easiest. This is the highest teaching towards the human form as it also increases the size of our pineal by 2 to 5 times us immunizes us from heart attack and has more benefits. I have some videos on RUclips where I go through a 3 hour headstand session but the video isn't all 3 hours. It's under Mr. DeSoto. I introduce Thunderstanding...beyond understanding as Christs 3 top disciples (Peter,James and John) were nicknamed "the sons of thunder " after the rumbling thundering sound of OM. Namaste.
