The ship must be the "City of Glasgow" 1854, where the little girl has been turned into a doll 0:01. In historical fact: The City of Glasgow wasn't just a passenger sailing ship. She was a British 3 mast sailing-steam powered screw propeller-Bargue Ocean liner ship. The City of Glasgow did in fact made it's final route voyage from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA to Liverpool England, then she was considered to be "Lost at sea" in March 1854.

Sharks were not THAT popular during the late 1970s, mostly because of the movie Jaws and for years they were considered fair game and a very popular one at that all over the world. Many rich people and celebrities would go to get their own. That lasted until ecologists like Jacques Cousteau and others had made enough noise to stop the slaughter. Just to put this movie in context.

Sad, the movie itself is pretty interesting...but the actors are awful, the delivery of the lines are flat and emotionless, its like watching a 2nd grade play...the scenery, the cinematography, the production quality, all good...but the writing, and the actors is not even 2nd rate...it sounds like they're taking turns reading from a book
I don't know what the people praising this movie in the comments was smoking while watching it, but this thing is crap, the acting is really bad and most of the cast is dubbed in English, since they seem to all be speaking something else. And it's dubbed badly, which is why I could tell without seeing their mouths even, because the voices for the kids, sounded like the voices of a grown woman, especially the one smaller boy that they allowed to stir the ship at one point, and his voice sounded so much like a woman I thought at one point that it was one of the women speaking at the time, but it turned out to be the boy. And yes I know John Huston is in it, but a lot of times English actors would do movies in other countries, and then when those movies were shown in the US or other English speaking countries, they would then dub them, but if the American actors were speaking some other language they would dub their own, which is likely what he did. But I stopped at 17:37 into it, because i just couldn't take the bad acting and writing in it, and like I said the dubbing is very bad. It's funny but I have watched some great tv shows and movies from none English speaking countries on Netflix and they are dubbed so well, you really don't even notice it, but they seem to be a lot better at dubbing movies nowadays then they were back in the old days of movie making. But I don't think this thing would be any good even if it wasn't badly dubbed, I mean it's supposed to be about the Bermuda Triangle, but that whole thing with that doll they found, makes it seem more like something to do with ghosts or something, since the doll seems to move around on it's own or something and the girl asked for a cookie for herself and said her doll wanted some raw meat, from the chef on the boat, and the then they got really stupid by having him give the girl the raw meat for her doll, which seemed really stupid of the chef. Like who would do something like that really? Well i'm not wasting anymore time on this movie myself.
