I thought that it was fantastic for being a sky liner hotel. Very convenient. As for the amenities, we went this February, so too cold to test out the pools
Such a great review, Bekah! I think the Skyliner is a real game changer for this resort, especially getting “early access” before Pop Century and AOA guests. And the proximity to Riviera is a huge perk…because Primo Piatto is fire!
We've stayed at CBR three times, twice in Aruba. We found it easier to cut across the island to the Center town bus stop. It was the first stop, at least when we stayed. At night, got off at Aruba. We didn't mind all the stops, as we were just happy to be there. Always had a full pool day. The main pool is so nice, two slides and zero entry. The steel drum island music was a bonus! OK, I'm ready to pack my bags now🏝😊🏖
We love staying here. We don’t mind walking at all because like you said the ambiance is so enjoyable. My kids are also older, so no strollers, carrying kids, or their luggage.
We stayed in Aruba too and utilized the Riveria transportation a few times especially the Skyliner at the Riveria. CBR has always been by favorite in the Moderates BUT we tried Pop Century and loved it. I am like you and like the beach so we get a little bit of that at CBR.
Can't wait to watch this, Caribbean Beach was the first Disney resort I ever stayed at waaay back! The Skyliner is such a great addition and the new room refurbs look great x
So glad I watched this video. I will never stay at a Disney resort that does not have elevators! We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and we had no idea that this was even a thing! We had two kids and I was pregnant with my 3rd! I remember asking a staff member where do we find the elevators cause we were walking around trying to figure it out and they said oh we don’t have any. 😮 Definitely our fault for not reading it somewhere, but honestly never thought they wouldn’t have elevators.
Thank you for this video! We were at Disney last week and stayed in a 1 bedroom villa at Boardwalk. We were interested in this resort since we fell in love with the Skyliner and we are Epcot/HS fans (my kids are older and love the coasters)- I think if we did another long vacation we would opt for the villas but if we did a quick trip in the future this would be a good option. We loved the Riviera but would need a great deal to justify staying there.
This helped me so much! Staying here this weekend and am so excited! Good to know about the quick service at the Riveria!! Also love the hoodie, where did you get it?!
We absolutely love CBR. The main downfall for me is the carpet in the rooms lol! We love Jamaica. Best section ever. We only use the main hub and there is a dedicated bus for Jamaica and Aruba in the morning and evenings. So we always get on and the bus is never full! We love waking across the island to the main pool and love the 4 minute walk to the skyliner and joffreys.
Great video! I really like the look of Caribbean beach apart from the non-Trinidad rooms. Coming from the UK it's cheaper to rent DVC points at Saratoga and Old Key West than pay cash for a standard Carribean room. You can even get Boulder Ridge for less than a preferred room at Carribean. The skyliner and pool would definitely be the biggest draws if we were to stay here.
Would you rather stay in the Aruba section in an older room but closer to riviera or the Trinidad section in a little mermaid room? We’re looking at staying there in the fall with our young kids
We love this resort but the walking and the busses… it’s a lot to handle. We try to focus on Skyliner parks and then (sometimes) do a split stay to GF or the Poly for MK and AK. We have been there a handful of times with another fall trip booked. Im hoping the standard rooms get a bit of a refresh soon. They are well loved and needing some TLC. 😬
Thank you so much for this video! The restroom con really helped me decide. We are planning a trip for June 2024 w my mother in law so I'm thinking of going for all star music family suite
We waited almost 90 min in the blazing sun when trying to go to Epcot one day! I was so scared I don’t think I’ll ever do skyliner resort again. I wish we would’ve bailed and gone and gotten an Uber. Free transportation is sometimes a time suck.
@@BekahHart the unpredictability part is what is so hard! Having back up plans is a must! But that was our first trip and we didn’t know to maybe walk and find the bus instead or go get an Uber.
We re split staying at CBR and a monorail based on park days. Only at CBR 2 days rope dropoing epcot then switching at lunch to monorail resort for 4 days.
Do you know what’s last hour of skylines from Epcot come back to the Caribbean beach resort? Tomorrow is the first time of us..thank you for shared your experience.
Didn’t wait long enough to comment. 😂 I heard the opposite - that the standard rooms will be updated but they won’t look identical to the new mermaid rooms. 🤷🏻♀️ A cast member working there told me that so here’s to hoping! 🙏🏻
Great Review!! Thank you for sharing all your insight. Can I ask, if you purchase DVC points, how do you do that? Is there a particular website you use for that?
Were you in preferred room? We have a preferred room for our upcoming stay and requested Trinidad, but didn’t know if that would help get that request for an updated room!
Technically yes, but you would need a park reservation for EPCOT. You would then walk to the other side of the park to get to the monorail, then another 20 minute ride to MK. You would then need to wait until 2PM to enter MK though since you used your park reservation to get into EPCOT. All that to say, the bus is the best strategy ☺️😅
thank you for the info! Do you have any recommendations on which restaurant reservation I should do? I will travel with my 3 and 5 year-old. thank you!
Fun review! At the end you said it may not be your first pick to go again on a non-kiddo trip... if you were renting points what resort would be your top pick (or top couple)? I'm curious to hear if you could stay anywhere what resort would that be? Thanks!
I know you mentioned you had a 3 yr old... I have a 7yr I'm looking at going in November with just her.. would you still suggest this hotel? Or is she too old? A lot of the stuff you mentioned sounded young..
I didn’t like this resort at all lol. If I can’t get dvc points then I either pay slightly more for Wilderness Lodge or AKL or I would go with Pop. So glad you all had a good time!
A bit Skyliner con (which makes CBR a con for some) is if you have anyone in your party scared of heights - then there isn’t a free alternative to get to Epcot & HS. My husband rode the Skyliner from CBR to HS once, got off and said never again. Thankfully we weren’t staying there and it was a just one-off trip to make our Uber from DS a little cheaper- but we would have been screwed if we were staying there.
Have you stayed at this resort? What are your thoughts?
I thought that it was fantastic for being a sky liner hotel. Very convenient. As for the amenities, we went this February, so too cold to test out the pools
We have stayed here 4 times! We actually really love it! (We are Skyliner people!)
You answered all the questions I had in mind. Headed to Caribbean in June. The dining recommendations you gave is very helpful. Thank you!!
Such a great review, Bekah! I think the Skyliner is a real game changer for this resort, especially getting “early access” before Pop Century and AOA guests. And the proximity to Riviera is a huge perk…because Primo Piatto is fire!

This was pre Riviara/skyliner😊
The only other time I’ve stayed at CBR was back in the pre-skyliner OG days yearrrrrs ago ☺️ Things have definitely changed!

The carpet is bad 🙈 But yes! As long as you have the right bus strategy, it works out great! 🙌🏼 And looooved being so close to Joffery’s!
Ladies, are there still buses for Epcot and HS? I don't know if could do the sky liner 😔

This is a very thorough review! Way to stay positive despite not getting your request fulfilled. 👍🏼
Great video! Good tips & honest raw review. Love your videos.
Thank you!
If you want to be right next to the Skyliner, request the Jamaica section. it is also right next to the bus stop
Yes! Jamaica is great if you want to be close to the hub 👌🏼
When and how do you make that request? I have a trip in October and booked at Caribbean Beach.
@@rin-5794 I did it online when I booked but you can also call

Awesome! I’m so glad!

Absolutely! Those all star family suites look great! That will definitely give you the space everyone needs to get ready for the day ☺️
I’m looking at a trip either in October or early November and I can’t decide between this resort or Pop Century.
We waited almost 90 min in the blazing sun when trying to go to Epcot one day! I was so scared I don’t think I’ll ever do skyliner resort again. I wish we would’ve bailed and gone and gotten an Uber. Free transportation is sometimes a time suck.

Thank you! Check out DVC Rental Store! You can rent DVC points and save 40-60% on deluxe resorts ☺️
I wonder if Coronado isn’t as kid friendly because of the conference center attached to it 🤔 Maybe Disney’s trying to keep it a little more “proper.”
Totally agree 👌🏼
Thank you for your review! If you were to stay at Caribbean Beach again, would you request Aruba or another section?
I would, yes! I’ve also never stayed in any other section haha, but I did really like Aruba!
Were you in preferred room? We have a preferred room for our upcoming stay and requested Trinidad, but didn’t know if that would help get that request for an updated room!
Can’t you take the skyliner to epcot then take the he monorail from there to magic kingdom to skip the bus entirely?

Would you pick 5 nights here with kids or 5 nights at the Grand Floridian??
thank you for the info! Do you have any recommendations on which restaurant reservation I should do? I will travel with my 3 and 5 year-old. thank you!
If you’re able to splurge, a character would be so fun! Topolino’s breakfast is my favorite 🙌🏼

I actually just shared my top DVC resorts for toddlers if you want to check that one out! ☺️
Wil you be able to call the hotel and request which sub division you want to stay? thanks!
You can definitely call and place a request, but there’s no guarantees.
Silly question- Buildings have elevators for upper floors?
They do not 😕

I’m with you! The price difference between CBR and WL or AKL is not that much, so I would choose those resorts over CBR as well 👌🏼
When did you visit? Do you have a better chance to get a ground floor in Feb
We were there in February 😆 It seems any time of year you have a 50/50 chance of receiving a ground floor room.
@@BekahHart I have a disability and will be using one of those carts so I cannot drag it upstairs

I believe you’re referring to something in my most recent travel day vlog ☺️ Check out that video for the link!
@@BekahHart ya I couldn’t remember what video it was in, no problem
would these commutes be a problem for someone whos driving their own car?
Driving your own car to the parks is a very different scenario. You won’t have the same commute issues as the buses though.

That’s a great point! I’ve heard from many people who can not ride on the skyliner for that reason. Definitely a con if you have a fear of heights.
Can still take a bus..... Give me a break ppl
@@mibe1927 actually you can’t. Buses to Epcot and Hollywood do not run here, the skyliner is your only option.

We do not ☺️
...probably my LEAST FAVORITE resort of all the WDW resorts I've visited and stayed. 😕
Why
It doesn’t take long to walk and it’s not far…. About 15 minutes max. 🙄
It all depends on where you’re walking from at the resort. Some routes are 5 minutes, some are 20 minutes.
@@BekahHart You’re walking round the parks all day anyway. 20 minutes isn’t long.
