Heavener is so far my AOTY. It just hits the sweet spot for me on everything I love in music. I got to see Invent, Anímate live the day that Take Me Back to Eden came out last month. Talk about an absolutely WILD day that was. 2023 is an amazing time for metal. To add to this, Invent Animate sound just as good live.

Wether it’s the vocals/lyrics, the drummer going off like a fish milkshake, or the complete break down of their break downs - invent animate do not miss. You’ll mostly find the distinction in the thall sound when you hear the bending sounds of the guitar that sound exactly like the breakdown in this song Shade Astray where you said, “i’ve never heard a breakdown like that”. The sound has just only recently coined the last few years and Invent Animate have incorporated it beautifully. ‘Allt’ and ‘Greyscale Season’ are other bands incorporating that Thall sound into their metalcore that’s super sick and Buster who created the sound produced for the bands and even wrote for one of them on some songs as well!

My suggestion is to start with their first album, masstaden forte (forte is for remix-remastered version), the song is called "All These Feelings"
This was exactly how i thought your reaction was gonna go😂 The fast paced intro and kinda off kilter drumming i knew was gonna kinda throw you off but once it quickly progresses from that part i knew the song would suck you in with that chorus and breakdown, and that ending is just phenomenal. Favorite off the album for me, but the entire project is chefs kiss 🤌🏽
