    Ingredients:
    For pressure cook:
    Toor dal ( thuvara parippu ) - 200g ( 1 cup )
    Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
    Water - 3 1/2 cup
    *For preparation:
    Shallots ( small onion ) - 15 ( big size )
    Onion - 1 ( medium )
    Potato - 1 ( medium )
    Green chilli - 5
    Ash Gourd ( kumbalanga ) - 150 g
    Carrot - 1 ( medium size )
    Tomato - 2 ( medium size )
    Brinjal - 2
    Drum stick - 6 pieces
    Ladies finger - 5 ( medium size )
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Tamarind
    Coriander powder - 3 tbsp
    Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
    Roasted fenugreek powder - 3/4 tsp
    Asafoetida powder - 2 to 2 1/2 tsp
    Hot water
    Jaggery / Sugar - 1 tsp
    Salt
    *For tempering:
    Coconut oil / Oil - 2 to 2 1/2 tbsp
    Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
    Roasted fenugreek powder - a pinch
    Cumin powder - a pinch
    Asafoetida powder - a pinch
    Mustard - 1 tsp
    Dried red chilli - 2
    Curry leaves
