    Lauren’s promise:
    I PROMISE TO:
Listen and believe you if someone is threatening you
Represent a safe haven for sharing incidents of sexual assault, domestic violence, or stalking
Change campus culture that responds poorly to dating violence and stalking.

Giving a female, girlfriend, wife a gun, aka a constitutional right to have a gun is not sketchy, nor would it mean the person offering is crazy or dangerous lol. Not to mention he was a bouncer so security would be on his mind. If anything he gave her a tool to end his life. So that point of this story is of no consequence and meaningless. Women if a man offers you a gun, take it. Make sure gets in your name and keep. They are expensive and when it takes cops 15-30 mins to get to you, a weapon is your only option. Giving someone a gun for protection should lead no person to think this person is crazy lol

@@larsnootbaarfann Why tf are you blaming the victim? She was abducted from a university campus. Also, bs on there being nothing they could have done. The guy was a friggin sex offender that kept stalking a girl on campus after she broke up with him. To my knowledge, sex offenders can only attend class. Not stalk students or hang out in the dorms. He should have been arrested. He could have been banned from campus. They could have had security escort her. That's what I've seen police do when people call about being stalked or harassed. They did it for my mom when her ex was stalking her after he pushed her on her porch.

This case happened while my husband was attending the same university. What Unseen left out of this video is that not only did the campus AND city police do NOTHING, but officers actually SHARED REVENGE PORN OF LAUREN AFTER HER MURDER. That is what the bill her parents created detailed. It is sick and makes me so ashamed of our local authorities.

How is it "REVENGE" porn if the police leaked it? Wouldn't that just be a leaked sextape? It would be "REVENGE" if and EX LOVER leaked it and exposed her like that. You're mislabeling the situation, or you're leaving out critical details. Why would the police want to get "REVENGE" on a victim?

Campus securities have always pissed me off with the way they handle situations. A friend of mine moved 4 hours away to another state for college, she stayed in a co-ed dormitory. Both men and women would stay in the building but the rooms had to be single sexed. One of her friends who lived on the same floor developed a crush on her. She turned him down and he started stalking her to class and her other friends houses. She alerted the school and security, they gave him a. Slap on the wrist and told him to stop. He then tried to barge into her dorm room when she was closing the door, her Roomate was there and was able to stop him. She told security and again nothing happened. When she was in class her Roomate said she heard jiggling on the door knob and peaked through the little hole. Saw the guy was trying to pick the lock, she barricaded the door and called security. They came by and told him to leave, the school moved his dorm room to a different floor. I friend would send me texts and videos of him trying to pressure her to get drunk with him alone. She didn’t feel safe. I told her if he does anything again, don’t ignore the school rules and contact the police. Because they clearly don’t give a shit about her or her safety. It eventually stopped after he finally graduated, he did return for 1 moment but a close guy friend who was buff pretended to be her boyfriend to scare him off. She’s graduated now and far far away from him.

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned and deserve punishment but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God bodily, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by shedding His blood on the cross. He died and rose from the dead so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace you must believe from your heart in Jesus Christ, that He paid the price for your sins, that He is risen and alive. Don't trust in your own goodness but transfer your trust to Jesus and follow Him, get to know Him personally. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Believe in Him, read the Bible and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!

I know this happens with any governmental agencies, schools, and hospitals. They just refer you back and forth like phone tag and never check back in to ensure you got the help you needed. My mom has been having bloody urine since 2022 due to a kidney tumor caused by lupus. She can't even see a rheumatologist until December to set up a treatment plan for it. I even offered to donate my healthy blood for when they finally decide to schedule the surgery. They made it sound like it was an emergency in the ER. I know it's bad if emergency staff visibly show concern, but I guess the rest of the departments don't seem to care.

RIP Lauren. This is the best documentary Ive seen on her case, and I watch every one that comes out about her story. This is the first time a creator has brought attention to the Laurens Promise foundation. Why more creators miss this part is beyond me. Laurens Promise is her legacy, and its saving lives. I absolutely love their mission statement and cause. I was a victim of stalking in the past, and the constant fear that something horrible is about to happen consumes every moment of your life. Basically your life grinds to a halt. You cant sleep, you check your locks over and over, make people promise to check on you if they dont hear from you, look out your windows constantly… what’s just as bad is that no one cares. I was shrugged off by police, told that unless THEY SEE him in the act theres nothing they can do. Then being forced to see this person in court while I had to try to convince a judge that what happened actually happened, and have to CONVINCE a judge of why I had a “good enough” reason to tell this person to stay away from me, was a whole level of trauma in itself. That should be a right anyone has without fighting in court for it. “Well he hasnt done anything illegal yet that you can prove..” What they are essentially saying is that until they try to kill you you aren’t a victim and arent worthy of protection. Its b*llsh*t. Whats even MORE messed up is that the judge ordered a parenting plan during the hearing for my restraining order without asking any questions whatsoever. In order to comply with the parenting plan he had access to me AND my child every single drop off / pick up. The restraining order was worthless and all it did was give him unsupervised access to my defenseless child. The system needs to change. It needs a complete overhaul. How are we as victims supposed to “JuSt lEavee” when it puts us in danger and makes the situation even worse??

The failure seems to be that a complaint was not handled by a detective. There should have been a way to allocate a detective to the case as soon as the gun or the fake ID was discovered. That shows there is something sinister going on.

They need to bring this to England. Someone close to me experienced domestic abuse whilst on campus. The university had the gall to place the perpetrator in protected accommodation and left the victim open to potential further attack by the perps friends or even by the perp as the victim was left on campus in the dorm the perp was familiar with. This was not too long ago! It happened at a very good university in Wales! The university didn’t even phone the family to let them know. It was discovered by the friend of the victim who contacted the authorities and the parents. These universities have a duty of care for their students, yet that’s not what we saw! I must add that the victim had not been attending classes as the perp kept the victim from going to classes, kept the victim on lock down. The university didn’t even do a welfare check to see if the victim was ok. The friend told us that they contacted the university security on many occasions and their plea’s fell on deaf ears.

I immediately decided to stand upstairs and peep through a glass window which i could see the main door from where i was standing, i saw a man leaving my door after ringing again no doubts he was the one ringing all those times my roommates and i called campus security and to our shock they said whoever had been ringing our door bell for more than 50 times was just playing with us and we should play along.
