    Some people have crazy expectations for other people. If you found out that your husband did something like this, nobody should blame you for needing a minute to process. It took her less than 30 min to decide to completely dismantle her life in favor of doing the right thing. She’s better than most.

    Imagine being kidnapped, almost raped, held at gun point day and night, drugged, going 120+mph, kidnapper shoots someone else, holds a family hostage with you in the car, and confesses to killing a girl previously, then when you’re finally free from this hell police handcuff and arrest you and claim you as a accomplice PUBLICLY from miscommunication. As a 19 year old girl nonetheless - like come on seriously people? They never apologized. How do they fucking sleep at night knowing they did that to the poor girl. The trauma is immense.

    This case always makes me appreciate how badass Aundreah was/is. Getting angry instead of crying, refusing to get undressed and take a shower, her quick thinking when the alarm went off on her phone, her telling him it was a reminder for STD medication. As well as the calmness and dignity with which she conducted herself, never showing Edwin fear, are all remarkable and inspiring.

If you still have your wits about you, which is not always possible, your mind takes in details of the criminals behavior. At least, when I was robbed and graped at gunpoint, my mind knew what to do. In other situations, that didn't happen though. In one instance, I froze, right in front of a person, and he ran right past me, like I was invisible.
      Just the life of a poor woman. No drugs or alcohol involved.

    I live in Bend, Oregon. This case was soooooooo sad. I wasn't really good friends with her but we did have classes together and I just remember hundreds of people showing up to support her. Thank you, Unseen. I appreciate you covering this case. RIP Kaylee.

    Aundreah was treated so wrongly in this. She went through some of the worst things anyone could only pray they never have to go through, only to be arrested and put in a cell. Three familys had gone through so much no one should ever have too. Ontop of that the police nearly screwed this entire case up by not following their own laws.

    I love what Kaylee said to her mom when she was 17 about how she wanted people to describe her she had great insight and I think it's great that she was able to share that with her mom I feel a lot like her and I'm so angry for her loved ones

    I'm disgusted that they put her in cuffs. It was very obvious that she did not want to be with him. She already went to enough trauma. Those cops should have been up to date on their information. I understand it was a felony stop, but they should have been compassionate to what this young lady just went through. Some one really dropped the ball.

      They already had all the information. - Even from their own 911 dispatch.
      They did much more then just put her in cuffs, e.g. a forced strip search and the police did all that on purpose.

    26:13 There are a lot of people that needed to hear this. I lost my father 4 years ago and i have felt lost. These words are incredibly true. No one can turn your life around except for you. You need to love yourself again. Give yourself compliments. Cheer yourself on. It's taking me a bit too long to remember these things but hearing it from Aundreah reminded me I gotta take it easier on myself. I'm worth it lol.

      I was my daddy's girl. When I was married and moved out at 18 years old, he called me every morning when he got to work to tell me good morning and he loved me. I lost him to cancer at 23 years old. I was 7 months pregnant as well and on doctor's ordered bedrest 23 hours a day. It was such a difficult time for me. It took me a year or so but I finally was able to start feeling alive again. It's hard to readjust when you lose your person like that and dads are our first heroes as little girls. I wish you the very best.

    That had go be so painful for the family of Kaylee to see the news say that Edwin Lara had a female hostage with him because they were given an OVERDOSE OF HOPE & thinking "Ok at least we know Kaylee is alive" only to find out that Kaylee died the night she went on that walk

    I've seen other RUclipsrs do this story but this one was different. This video focused more on the amateur investigation, survivors, and Kaylee than the POS Edwin. I never knew about the attorney incident and the mistaken arrest of Aundrea. Embarrassing.

    This is an older case Aundreah Maes & Kaylee Sawyer were kidnapped back in 2016. How the police could ever re-victimize someone who had already endured a horrific ordeal is beyond me, especially when there were 4 witnesses who saw her handcuffed & the coward even told 911 she was innocent. My heart goes out to her & the loved ones of Kaylee. May she rest in peace.🕊

    I remember watching "THAT CHAPTER" about this story & they grilled the boyfriend VERY VERY HARD because of the argument the night she went missing (Which isnt Farfetched at all in missing person cases)....... I honestly believe if the girlfriend didn't come forward they never would have caught the P.O.S. If he would have just went along with his normal life, i think he would still be walking the streets, So that goodness for that Girlfriend who is definitely one of the great cops

    It's hard to understand how someone can become so heartless. This case is a painful reminder of the injustice and suffering that the victim endured. However, thanks to the tireless efforts of the authorities, justice has finally been served. May the victim rest in peace, and may their family find some solace in the justice they have received.

    The cops had the 911 audio and the killers testimony and the testimony of the family that was kidnapped. Can't believe how long they had her incarcerated. Then, no apology for the incarceration and no apology for denying the killers request for an attorney, which led to his confession being thrown out. How foolish. Hope she sues them too.

    I know how it feels to be falsely accused, then they release you and not an apology, but to sign a piece of paper that you says you will not say anything how they mistreated you. After that happened l had depression and pysd from it, for a few years.
