unfortunately there is no way to search for handwritten text in a PDF on the reMarkable. So, you‘ll have tons of PDFs with tons of notes, not being able to search for a single word. Bad.

Yes, the planner does work on the Boox. With the boox, you can choose to use a PDF planner or you can use OneNote.

If you add a tag to your handwritten document you will be able to search for it.
I work with One Note as part of an Exchange enterprise eco system. Can your planner work within that?
Yes it can. You can import the notebook into your onenote application and sync it across your business account.
