While I agree with some of these, a few have to be pointed out: Emma's voice wasn't very strong during the televised performance and she missed a few high notes, so I wouldn't say it is a crime she flopped. I loved Cyprus' song but she also had shaky vocals during the english part of her song (she didn't deserve to be last with the juries though, that is so weird).
At first I also thought that Cyprus should be qualifying, but when I saw her performance, I knew it wasn't enough, as her lyrics were a bit shaky in the English part. But to be fair to her, she definitely wasn't the worst vocalist in this edition and those high notes were tougher to sing than other entries from artists who didn't make any mistakes.
I would add - Emma's song is plagiarized, so I'm glad she is NOT in the finals. (search here on RUclips Emma Muscat Rudimental These Days to see how are these two songs intertwined).

If her fans had really liked her, they would not have asked Emma Muscat to make such a risky decision. Unfortunately no one could not appreciate the value of the song "Out of Sight". Slovenia killed it, at least in my opinion. Ireland and Latvia should have been up on the final if not for the music but for the causes. And for france... I suspect that the French weren't behind the song entirely.

Slovenia had musically probably the most complex song of the year yet MUSICAL EXPERTS didn't reward it. I might just be a bedroom musician myself but I could hear the chord changes, tempo changes, instrumentation etc. That's why I blame the jury. (Also, despite coming last in televote, Slovenia did get one point more from them than from the jury, although granted, they all came from Croatia)

Don't get me wrong, i support Ukraine, but we all knew that Ukraine was probably going to get the political points rather than the best song points. At the beginning i was also surprised Belgium qualified but actually, he was among the televote qualifers (10th best televote) so saying it's undeserved is a little bit harsh. If it wasn’t for my country coming runner up then this would have been a complete bloodbath of results for me. My favourites (not including uk) were France, Albania, Latvia, Austria, Finland an San Marino. The worse results Ive had in years.

Yeah this wasn’t a good Eurovision in form of presentation and order. Also Switzerland definitely deserved to qualify and personally I’m really happy Belgium qualified. Albania: I liked song, but performance was a hot mess. Latvia: pretty funny fact actually:) Croatia got the same result as last year. Malta: Emma's vocals was pretty bad though. San-Marino: mutual problem with Albania - a bit too much. Ireland: really sad, compared to the national final she did amazing job. Cyprus: same with Austria - painfully vocals destroyed everything about it. Czech Republic: performance from semi had way more energy. Armenia was destroyed by running order even more than Romania. France😭 Greece: it was expected, no one wants die, even together.

I'm just so disappoited bout the results of my home country (🇨🇵). We were sending something different for once, but with that kind of result, i'm afraid we will not dare to do it anymore and we will send typical french ballads. I don't want it to happen, otherwise i feel like i would not be interested in the contest that much. But at the same time, when so much points go to a few countries, the others are left with nothing and we have to deal with it. I still have hope though. I hope it showed to countries with a way more celtic background that they could also show it, for example Ireland, imagine having a song in Gaelic that would be fantastic!

Thank you for your empathy. I'm spaniard and I thought if we Don't win with this, we will never win. This was our year and has been stolen. In Spain there's a huge annoyance with Eurovision this year and with the italian hosts. Spain has not won for more than half century.

Achille Lauro for San Marino was super messy, but after sitting through Belgium and Azerbaijan and even Lithuania (liked her song but her running order was unfortunate) I'd given an arm and a leg for the electric bull on stage. Achille tries really really hard and I kinda have a soft spot for him.
I loved his song, but his performence on stage in semi final was a bit to much for me. There was so many things at the same time that it became a total mess for me. In my opinion his much more simple, but still awesome and sassy performence in qualifications was better

Well, with Bulgaria and Macedonia it was the case that many people called it dated, I still kinda like them though, much better than everyone's saying. Although Vladana's voice was partially a bit shrill (unfortunately this was was used for the recap), I agree with France but think that Germany deserved its last place in the final.
San Marino sent porn. Ireland sent bratty arrogance. Greece sent a song about killing herself and her lover so they could always be together… not healthy… I do agree that Armenia deserved a better return. One of the few ballads that wasn’t full of misery and self pity…
Belgium getting only 5 points from the televote. Australia getting only 2 votes, Poland should have finished in the Top 10, and Portugal should have been 7th or 8th. Greece should have gotten more televoters. So did Portugal. Moldova should have finished lower, I'm also sad for France. And I really wanted Sweden to get a Top 3 finish, if not even win.
None of these were "crimes". Even though I *loved* the song, Azerbaijan getting almost 100 pts in the semi but 0 pts in the televote and still qualifying is the closest to a crime we got this year. Honestly, the only Eurovision crimes are those where the juries completely overrule the public.

I hope UK and Spain keep up how they've selected songs this year for next year cuz the TaP Music collaboration was the best decision UK could make and Sam Ryder proved that and Benidorm Fest is a step in the right direction for Spain.
I can understand that you regret a country not qualifying, every country deserves to qualify, but to specifically exclude a country from qualifying is just low and disrespectful to him as an artist. Belgium deserves to be there as much as any other country. But good! Proves again that this kind of pages only go for the standard pop songs. In the end he qualified and more people saw it was a masterpiece!
This is just my point of view! I 100% respect Jeremie and all his work, but in my opinion his performance didn’t deserve to qualify. I think that there were so many countries that deserved belgium’s spot, considering that the performance was kinda bad (in terms of staging & some vocals) Again, I truly respect and admire all the effort that the artists put this year, but at the end of the day we all are meant to have an opinion :)
We should look at the split results: Albania and Cyprus are televote qualifiers killed by juries, as they both finished 9th in the televote and 12th overall Croatia and North Macedonia are jury qualifiers killed by the televote as they finished 10th in the jury voting and 11th overall. In the second semifinal, Azerbaijan scored no televote points but this was enough to qualify.
I think Albania's should not have been sexualized too much like that (though it seems that was already a toned down version of the original). Doing so made it look like they're desperate for attention and votes and could have put off some people. The song itself is already good and could have carried the show without really going the sexual way. Maybe the same applied to San Marino.

I expected Czech Republic to not post a good result in the grand final because their song sounded similar to Glorious, the German entry from 2013.
It's okay about that because at least we all know their songs were great no matter what place they placed. I am sure they all came here to show their songs and to have fun but not to gain a victory.
At the beginning i was also surprised Belgium qualified but actually, he was among the televote qualifers (10th best televote) so saying it's undeserved is a little bit harsh. I'm just so disappoited bout the results of my home country (🇨🇵). We were sending something different for once, but with that kind of result, i'm afraid we will not dare to do it anymore and we will send typical french ballads. I don't want it to happen, otherwise i feel like i would not be interested in the contest that much. But at the same time, when so much points go to a few countries, the others are left with nothing and we have to deal with it. I still have hope though. I hope it showed to countries with a way more celtic background that they could also show it, for example Ireland, imagine having a song in Gaelic that would be fantastic!

Thank you for your empathy. I'm spaniard and I thought if we Don't win with this, we will never win. This was our year and has been stolen. In Spain there's a huge annoyance with Eurovision this year and with the italian hosts. Spain has not won for more than half century.

It's just a testament to how good the last few years have been. I remember when most of the semi final entries were duds, now every loss feels unfair.
Achille Lauro for San Marino was super messy, but after sitting through Belgium and Azerbaijan and even Lithuania (liked her song but her running order was unfortunate) I'd given an arm and a leg for the electric bull on stage. Achille tries really really hard and I kinda have a soft spot for him.
I loved his song, but his performence on stage in semi final was a bit to much for me. There was so many things at the same time that it became a total mess for me. In my opinion his much more simple, but still awesome and sassy performence in qualifications was better

Well, with Bulgaria and Macedonia it was the case that many people called it dated, I still kinda like them though, much better than everyone's saying. I can understand that you regret a country not qualifying, every country deserves to qualify, but to specifically exclude a country from qualifying is just low and disrespectful to him as an artist. Belgium deserves to be there as much as any other country. But good! Proves again that this kind of pages only go for the standard pop songs. This is just my point of view! I 100% respect Jeremie and all his work, but in my opinion his performance didn’t deserve to qualify. I think that there were so many countries that deserved belgium’s spot, considering that the performance was kinda bad (in terms of staging & some vocals)

We should look at the split results:
Albania and Cyprus are televote qualifiers killed by juries, as they both finished 9th in the televote and 12th overall
Croatia and North Macedonia are jury qualifiers killed by the televote as they finished 10th in the jury voting and 11th overall.
In the second semifinal, Azerbaijan scored no televote points but this was enough to qualify.

I think Albania's should not have been sexualized too much like that (though it seems that was already a toned down version of the original). Doing so made it look like they're desperate for attention and votes and could have put off some people. The song itself is already good and could have carried the show without really going the sexual way. Maybe the same applied to San Marino.
